He's a Christian preacher and so he says he voted against abortion and later, same-sex marriage. I personally feel that he also voted republican for economic reasons. (He's not exactly hurting financially)

I tried to explain to him that repubs were just pulling at his bigoted heartstrings and that a republican in office would do shitfuck against abortion. (Obviously same-sex marriage is another story)

He's old, so he'll likely never change his social views but with some perserverance, I was able to get him to see how the 'conservative fiscal policies' affect the poor, and disproportionately, blacks in the US. In so many words I told him, 'you already lost the war against the abortions and homosexuals and as you can see the Repubs don't give a southern fuck about God's Will, so you should either vote for your people, or at the very least don't vote against them'. He doesn't vote at all now. More importantly, he doesn't spread his 'vote republican' nonsense to people that will listen to his just because he has a 'Dr' before his name.

Interesting. I only ever eat their (super expensive) chicken strips, and those are full of flavor to me. Their biscuits are fine, too. Maybe the rest isn't so great. *shrugs*

Genesis was awesome, established Sonic, SOR, Phantasy Star blew up, better sports ports, etc...but SNES beat it in every single relevant way. It had more games, better games, better graphics, better sound, better controller, and so on. So yeah, SNES is on high, laughing at you bitch-ass haters.

Dreamcast was Sega's magnum opus, a love letter to people who LIVE THIS SHIT. It is Sega's SNES-class console. It has a small release list compared to other machines, but that release list is concentrated excellence, like Turkish coffee. It had the best 3rd party ports. It had the best versions of all the current arcade games. It had the best PC ports, often as good as the PC versions. It had Sega at their final best. It asked if you want to play some lucky hit. Would you like to play some lucky hit?

Dreamcast was tragically struck down, and I hate people forever for being complicit in that.

I've always felt that people who are mixed-race yet consider themselves African-American cause all sorts of havoc in the black community. Why? Because their experience can be quite different than that of African Americans. If one guy looks like Don Cheadle, and the other looks like Michael Ealy, the latter is more likely to get a job, catch a cab, and not get pulled over.

When you say mixed race African Americans are only African Americans because they considerit so is basicly saying they are not real African Americans.

I'm not denying that there are benifits to being a LSB but saying we are respnsible for problems in our community is just wrong.

This might come as a surprise to you but there are some light-skinned Africans. Who as far as they know or are concerned about are 100% black. My little brother is the same complexion as Chris Brown whilst i am relatively dark skinned. MY mum is dark skinned, one of her sisters can pass off easily as half black if she wanted to. My grandad was really fair and on both sides of my family there are some really fair people. My mum told me she did not understand why people thought my brother was mixed cos my ethnic group often is, and i have seen people joke and smile when they comment on how fair my brother is. One of these guys was dark and the other relatively fair. I don't get it personally but that's something to get into for another day.

Genesis is a good system no doubt, but the SNES has rpg's widely considered some of the best of all time. The best traditional puzzle game of all time (Tetris Attack) and Super Mario World 1 and 2. Games library-wise there is no contest.
