Shit was bananas. Got a fresh assed haircut with a barber that I don't usually go to -- he's a back up if my barber is MIA, and the guy does a great job! Oddly he pointed out that a few girls were outside looking at me and asked if I knew them. :lol They looked too young for me.

Then me and my friends went to Manhattan. Holy shit. On the train ride there we saw this fine assed black chick. In converse. Then out of nowhere she hugs and kisses this tall white guy passionately. Me and my friends just wanted to clap for that white guy. Around that couple, though -- there was a black lady staring INTENSELY at the couple and to the left of them was a white lady doing the same thing. Smh @ the lack of racial tolerance around here.

The city is beautiful. Beautiful assed places. Beautiful assed women. Shit, even beautiful assed men and I don't roll that way. :lol We mainly stayed in Chinatown where we ate at a Japanese restauraunt. I never had fried food in ages to tell the truth on my diet, but I had fried shrimp w/ Tempura ramen and also ordered fried squid legs. God damn I couldn't finish it. Tasted like sex. My friends had to be complete n***as and eat EVERYTHING, even my leftovers. They called me a bitch and we left. :lol

oh my god the women. we then sight saw. Shopped for videogames at this nice little store that has EVERYTHING. I'm definitely going back to that store.

All in all, day was a success and I'm glad to still be here at 21 so I could post on an ... internet ... gaming ... forum ...

Naw, we plan to do that on my closest friend's birthday in December. That way in our close group of friends -- we'll all be 21 and enjoy it.

I just finished the People With Skin thread, and wow. As a gay black American, I too dislike the constant references to Civil Rights. Especially since theres just as many racial issues in the gay community.

They people model their cartoon characters based on the image of Caucasians. They've got some self hatred issues going on. I wouldn't expect them to respect black people.

at least they told you how they really feel. but see..this is why black folk are always conscious of our representations in Japanese games. Nobody seems to 'get it' but us...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I've known people that really hated being black ( they were black people, born in the west).
I've always loved it. It makes me special, puts me in unique position of life where you have to work with, and face things most people won't be challenged with.

My brother and i always joke around and say that being black is like playing life on Hard Mode, the little achievements mean so much more.

Man, I just noticed how I never really appreciated the fact that I could count back all the way back to the names of my forefathers. It's why my name is so long ( I have 4 names), three of them are forefathers. My mother could count up to 15 names ( for me) or something. That's 15 generations. Crazy. By the way, where I'm from, women keep their last name. I don't understand the reason why they would have to adopt the husbands name.

I wish I knew the names of my forefathers. I just know last names and such, strangely enough the only African surnames are on my fathers side, the names on my mothers side are all english or spanish. I can understand the english names coming into play with colonialism or perhaps family who came from the states and returned to Africa(liberians), but I was kinda surprised at the spanish name.

The Asian Yin has been the most difficult to Yang for this black man.

I'm probably the only Black guy I know that could walk in to an all asian club on an all asian night and hook up with the only white girl there. But honestly the same could be said at an all Black Club too on an all Black night....

One of my buddies who now works as aeronautical engineer at Nasa exclusively hung out and dated asians all though high school. He was really the only black kid in any of our classes so that may explain part of it. It's also sorta funny that his last name happens to be Lee.
