I'm really light skinned (has to be the Irish in me) which has been both a blessing and a curse. Unless I tell people that I'm mixed, people assume that I have a Spanish/darker skinned white parent. My family (parents, brother and I) are going to Nigeria this summer and I couldn't be more excited. I am a little worried about racism over there though.
