Everything I want is not shipped to my country.
Certified Copy looks like a bad amateur photoshop job that you'd see on some fan-made fake Criterion cover site.
PLUS: A booklet featuring a conversation between Jonze and pop-culture critic Perkus Tooth

And finally, the new Eclipse set:
hurrah!
I'm totally stoked that Putney Swope is now part of the Criterion Collection. I encourage folks to dig the not safe for work but decidedly awesome trailer.

Wow those covers are terrible
i'm kinda bummed because at ATP last year, criterion showed a bunch of their upcoming releases included putney swope with a q/a with robert downey sr afterwards - and he implied that they were also going to be releasing some of his commercials and the q/a would also be an extra making me think it was getting a full blu-ray release.
fun fact: robert downey sr dubbed the voice for swope because the actor never learned his lines.
I want that region B-locked (I think?) Fantastic Planet blu-ray soooo bad.
This won't make any sense unless you've ever hung around criterionforum.org, but it's like they hired swimminghorses to do it.
it's like this months designers have intentionally tried to one-up The Great Dictator in horrible design
Since one bad piece of work makes one a hack?
To clarify, The Great Dictator can't possibly be bad simply because he has produced other, far greater work?
Is this actually what you're trying to say?
I just watched La Jetee and Sans Soleil. I need to go sit down and think for a while now.
Has anyone's order shipped yet?

Am I the only one that really digs the Being John Malkovich art? It's a bit ugly, but artfully so.
yesterday I finally got the movies from the V-Day sale but Anti-Christ came with a big ol crack in the case )-:<
The ups guy left it sticking out of my mail slot....So who picked up Fassbinder's WORLD ON A WIRE yesterday? Can't wait to see it for the first time this weekend.

They're always happy to replace damaged cases, missing inserts, and problem discs.
The teaser pic in today's newsletter looks to be Hoop Dreams.
