I'm really glad I barely paid attention to the trailers.

couldnt they have blamed the deaths on the Joker instead of Batman?

also....did i miss something or after Rachel and Harvey were kidnapped, Batman said he was going to rescue Rachel (and i heard Gordon say they would get Dent??) but then Batman ended up saving Dent and we all know what happened to Rachel

Joker didn't use Google Maps.

So many awesome fucking things that I just need to, like, list:

Joker's nurse uniform and wig, haha
Joker going CRAZY beating the shit out of Batman
Dent interrogating Joker's thug was fuckawesome
Scarecrow! Totally shocked by this -- so glad I didn't check the cast list
Dent's face literally CATCHING ON FIRE after the building explosion
The "birth" of the Batpod -- way more awesome than I was expecting
"Slaughter is the best medicine"

I could do this all day. Fucking just incredible.

The fucking pencil. OMFG it was beautiful :lol

And when the joker casually walked out of the hospital as it blew up in that nurses clothing, LMAO.

I'd go see it again on friday, but IMAX is sold out. I HAVE TO SEE THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN!

I personally liked Batman's visit to Sal Maroni's club.

I knew Gordon won't die cause he is the fucking commissioner!!

That said, i had a feeling his son would die. I kept saying to myself "PG-13! THEY CANT!". I'm glad he didn't die.

THAT SAID, I hope Harvey's still alive.

My favorite scene: Hospital blowing up. Knowing that it wasn't CG just makes it super awesome!

:lol yeah, techno batman.

Batman's interagation of the Joker
Slight Killing Joke references
Of course, all too brief Scarecrow appearance

I can't believe how awesome this movie is.

Also, did anyone else have the Watchmen trailer attached? What'd you think?

I was surprised that I was seemingly the only person that laughed at this part. The rest of Joker's "gags" had people laughing quite a bit, though.

I saw it last night....Best movie of the year!!!!

"Let me show you a magic trick." {stabs pencil into table} "I'm going to make this disappear." {Black thug walks over to take out Joker, Joker slams his head into the pencil} "TADA!" :lol :lol

My screening had Terminator Salvation attached to it. Looked pretty decent, and of course, Motherfuckin Christian Bale!

This scene set the mood perfectly, I want a GIF of this so freaking bad.

Other favorite Joker moment is him walking away from the hospital as its exploding and him getting pissed off that they are so small, then after continually slamming the button on the detonator it finally gives him the massive explosion he wanted.

Fox: "It uses sonar to give you a realtime image of the surroundings"

Bruce: "Using sonar to see? Just like a..."

Fox: "Yes. Just like a submarine."

:lol

Joker purposely gave Batman the address to Dent knowing he would go save Rachel.

The only complaint I could POSSIBLY have about TDK: Bale's Batman voice. I know it's part of the character, I know he needs to separate himself from Bruce Wayne, and I know it's meant to be intimating, but I just thought it was WAY too much 90% of the time (I had no problems with it at all in BB). There were a few lines where I literally didn't understand what he was saying because it was so forced and throaty.

Oh, and I thought it was a little bit weird that the camera never returned to the scene of the fundraiser after Batman jumps out the window to save Rachel. I know that the Joker was looking for Dent and was unsuccessful in that scene, but are we expected to believe that him and all his thugs just left quietly at that point? At least bring the scene back into the building for a moment with a witty line to wrap things up or something.

Seriously, though, these are just quibbles. Nothing major. I CAN'T WAIT to see it again on Thursday.

Oh man, I can't believe how phenomenally amazing this movie is. Not a scene was wasted. Everything was just in sync. I did not notice any unnecessary scenes or anything. And Heath Ledger as Joker. Oh my god. There is no villain that rivals what Heath has done. Every scene he is in, there such randomness and tensity to his actions and idiosyncrasies. I absolutely adore this film.

I also don't get why they couldn't have blamed the cop deaths on the joker, instead of Batman taking the blame. That last scene was the only downer for me.....though my friend and I did argue over whether Two-face is dead. He thinks that such a major player wouldn't be allowed to die like that, and that since Ledger is dead, Two-Face, in a possible sequel, needs to be alive to start it up.....I, on the other hand, just don't see it, especially with Gordon's announcement at the end.

Those issues aside, amazing movie, even though you could see most of it coming in some fashion or another.

Heath Ledger was an _AMAZING_ character, but for the "thuggish/street-smart" joker.....he almost seemed a little too clever at times. But his introduction with the pencil was genius.

Was I the only one who thought Ramirez was Renee Montoya at first? I must've missed her being identified, I suppose.

....I just don't know how the Nolan brothers could do a sequel to this.

Oh, and a lol at Alfred's "we burned the forest down."

faux edit: Saw the preview for Watchmen. Looked intense, I'm gonna have to go re-read my copy, it's been a while.

It was JAM PACKED! I wanted to save some seats for my friend who were later but i messed up the counting and one of my friend had to sit alone. I felt bad :(

I was there early (7:30) and i was maybe 40th in line. I got back row seats (a bit to the left though) which are always perfect for IMAX :)

.I, on the other hand, just don't see it, especially with Gordon's announcement at the end.
Maybe Gordon made that announcement to cover up his acts since Harvey was Gotham's White Knight and if the city know that he went berserk, they would stop believing in other heros.

This! I was expecting her to be Montoya :( She also looked alot like Katie Holmes for some reason heh.

Right, but if Dent were alive, and _ever_ got out of Arkham or wherever, there goes that lie right out the window. Which is why I argued that Dent is dead.

I love what Heath Ledger and co. did with the Joker. Another great scene is with him in the prison and he's talking shit to the cop about how many of the cop's friends he's killed. The cop goes to kick his ass and the scene suddenly cuts to the Joker getting out of his cell and holding the cop hostage. I love how they do not show what the Joker did to get out of that predicament and shows just how resourceful he is.

:lol I usually have scenes of characters from the trailers burnt into my brain, but for some reason that part and his narration of the Joker's equipment, didn't even occur to me. I actually bought it, which says a lot for how involved i was when wathcing it.

I'm gonna say it. Best. Explosion. Ever. Seeing the joker practically skipping out while all the debris was flying was fucking hilarious.

So much to digest. I know i'm forgetting something awesome.

Me too, I totally blanked out on the scenes with Gordon from the trailer that hadn't occured yet. I actually got excited when he revealed himself as the driver.

- All the reviews pointing out that this was an ensemble movie are right on the money.

- Ledgers Joker is incredible. Seriously. No matter what you have heard you will still be amazed by his job as the Joker.

"You complete me"

so awesome.

- Things I thought the trailers spoiled turned out a bit differently. Really there is so much more to the movie.

- The fact that the Batpod came out of the Tumbler!! (also wall turn!)

- The movie was so convincing you really thought holy shit is Gordon really dead? Of course I rememberd seeing him in a scene from the trailers that took place after. But the fact it had me second guessing is incredible.

- The movie DOES create a setup for a 3rd one. Just not in the same way as Begins did.

- IMAX scenes are breathtaking

The only 2 things I would have liked to see were:

- A bit more Two Face screen time. Even like 5 minutes.
- Joker being put into a straight jacket.

yea the scene where they told the wife about his death had me convinced they just deleted that scene (bat signal), then mother fucker shows up out of no where :lol

Joker is a nurse outfit was pure win. Joker cutting open peoples' mouths was also pure win. :D

Also, I wish they saved Two-face for the next movie. His "villain time" was too short.

BRING ON THE RIDDLER. STEVE CARELL!

I like how they also stayed true to the comics and put Maroni as the man responsible for Two-face's two-facedness.

I hope there is more scenes with Two-Face on the DVD release. What they did with him was great but waaayyy too short.
Yes, Harveys arc in the movie was just excellent, but it really needed just a bit more screen time for Two Face.

I'm having a hard time coming up with the words to describe this movie. One of the things i enjoyed about it was that i forgot all about the footage seen in the tv spots and trailers. I was afraid that they would stick out too much, but they went in so seamlessly with the, i was still blown away them. I must've seen the prologue about 30+ times and i was still excited to this amazing sequence on the big screen.

I still need to think about it more, but i'm truly amazed at how great this movie was.

EDIT: Speaking of Two-Face, one of favorite scenes is how he dealt with Maroni. And his driver.

What I love about the marketing for this movie is that none of the trailers or tv spots show much of the last 40 minutes of this movie. I really thought the movie was coming to a close with the Joker vs Bat-Pod in the street scene and then the jail interrogation scene. And lo and behold, there's a crapload more to go!

Yeah I thought the scenes on the street were like the final confrontation

They spoiled like nothing of the movies final act

Yeah, I thought the trailers were deleted scenes.

Another funny scene: When Batman as Bruce is driving his Lambo and gets in the way of the truck about to crash into Gordon and the guy from Wayne Industries. Gordon askes Bruce if he's alright and if he sacrificed himself to save them. Bruce then says "Why? Who's in the car?" The way he says it with obliviousness is hilarious.

Is the guy from Wayne Enterprises part of comic book mythology? Im talking about the dude who was going to expose him on TV.

holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit

the honk kong scene in imax was just WOW. my favorite scene was the interrogation scene.

and i loved the ending to the movie.

the only minor quibble I have with the movie is that the explosions at midnight "conveniently" didn't work.

every scene was just intense. INTENSE

and I don't mind that Two-Face died. the arc was about harvey dent, not two-face

Also, the movie actually addressed one of my questions about Batman Begins

Wouldn't someone eventually make the connection with the Tumbler and Wayne Enterprises?

Nolan really covered all the bases.

AND WOW. the people at the screening were hardcore.

they had a trivia session and the winners would get posters.

one guy knew the exact date that batman1989 was released. wtf
