This is absolutely not a statement that should be said proudly. You're basically saying you don't care about the future. ಠ_ಠ

And yet forcing someone to vote against their will is not how democracy should work. Conscientious abstinence from voting seems a logical choice for some.

Though if you must, seriously consider that a) you're almost always choosing the lesser of two evils in these elections anyways, and b) if you're throwing your vote away, at least go the poles and give some third party some support.

Just stop responding to people if you can't take that they want to vote for a third party (or not vote). Seriously it's so annoying seeing the same argument over and over again.

Wonder if they'll have anyone of note doing performances for music considering the DNC has a way wider group of current popular stars already campaigning for them.

That's cool.

Would you like a cookie?
Is it a double stuff Oreo or one of those warm soft chocolate chip ones? If so, then yes please.

I intend to vote 3rd party. Throwing away my vote, but still exercising my right to do so.

My wish would be for a convention focused on sober self introspection and trying to assure voters their commitment to not taking their constituents for granted in regards to policy with a seriousness one should expect for a country in such turmoil.

Unfortunately, my realistic guess is that it'll be a circlejerk of self congratulation by those who were already assured they could do whatever they wanted from the start without repercussion and get their vetted pick in the white house, throwing red meat out about the GOP's burning clown car at every turn.

Maybe i'll pay attention to what Bernie says, see what his best sell job might be on the status quo, even knowing a huge problem with the system is the establishment figures that he railed directly against for many months in the same room he's delivering the speech.

Not from the US, so can anyone explain in simple terms what all the wiki leaks emails about the Democrats are and why did one lady quit or not appearing anymore?

the appearance of bias moreso than the actual execution of biased policy (which is still an enormous fuckup), and she got forced out by obama, clinton and sanders likely due to her emails included in the leak

Well, more like a lot of the DNC members and Obama.

Clinton now has her as honorary chair of her campaign.

Some DNC prople, including one kind of high up guy talked about sabotaging Sanders in April. The plan didn't go through, but it still looks bad. DAS was gonna be replaced anyhow, so she's taking the fall.

well, "helped" implies that these staffers actually did much more than the professional equivalent of a facebook group chat for shit-talking (particularly since the most egregious things in here - like the CFO's musings on weaponizing atheism - got shitcanned directly by her campaign), but unironically let's go with that

No they are saying they don't trust either candidates vision of the future, which is what hillary and the DNC need to be worrying about instead of shitty VP picks.

Always an advantage to see the RNC first and know what you're up against. By most objective measures it was kind of a fail and extremely negative. Dems will counter accordingly.

Yep. It is frustrating, and their logic makes no sense to me and never will. But, as you said, the same arguments are made over and over again. If they want to change their minds the information is out there. So yeah, all that ends up happening is threads derailing and minds not being changed any way because now they feel they are on the defensive. I don't like it but I had already made up my mind if somebody says they are voting 3rd party, I wouldn't respond. At least they are not voting for Trump.

Too bad the fix was in against Bernie or another candidate would have been the headliner.

So Clinton wasn't directly involved, but she was helped by those who were trying to sabotage Sanders?
Clinton wasn't directly involved, and while some DNC people planned attacks on Sanders none of them appear to have been implemented and higher ups basically shut them down.

Also IIRC the timing of the emails was April/May, during the period where Sanders was hitting his "The system is rigged" message the hardest.

It's a shame we had no RNC emails. Imagine all the drunk rants from Reince begging for ideas on how to stop Trump. Even email during last week must have been awesome.
This is extremely random, but this song is musical salad. It's the seductive sax equivalent of EDM. It's like they took parts of the song, threw them together in a hat, and picked them out in a random order. It's all interchangeable and there are like 12 total bars of music.

People are as adamant of advocating their right to throw out their vote as others are adamant of advocating their right for guns or anything really. Some people get buried in the principle of things, which is frustrating when looking at the other side.

A vote for 3rd party is better than a vote for trump for sure.

People aren't responding to convince these people of the validity of their opinions.

People are responding to ensure that others who might be leaning that way (disgust with Trump & Hillary) re-examine their positions.

I think it's a crucial difference.

Having DWS opening and closing the DNC would be really stupid.

Isn't Gary Johnson going to pull more republicans from trump than dems anyway? I just don't understand how someone that backed Bernie could back libertarianism, but I suppose that's another topic for another day.
Fwiw I'm hoping for some good party unity this week. Sanders is gonna tell us all to vote for Hillary. Then Michelle, then Billy, then Barry and Joe. If that isn't enough to get people to not back Trump, I don't know what is.

No way this shit is as disgusting as the RNC right? Please?

Is there a schedule of what times speakers are slotted to be on stage? The lineup in the OP just shows who's speaking on which days.
