Can cool heads prevail for now? Let's wait until August before worrying.

If anyone cares, these are all the protests which got permits from the city. Looks like there's a Trump supporters rally tomorrow lol...

In addition to this I think there may be a few non-permitted protests on here:

Would guess the pro-legal weed and civil disobedience stuff was not permitted. On the legal weed front, weed is decriminalized here, so there will probably be lots of smoking happening. There's also a counter protest for Westboro Baptist Church called the "Great Wall of Love" that I find rather awesome.

That's kind of a fascinating image. I remember people still liking John McCain back then and no one realized exactly how crazy Sarah Palin was just yet. All down hill from there.

10x more interesting speakers list than what the RNC had. I ain't no liberal, either. We got da prez. And of course Mrs. Obama. I'm interested to see what Bill has to say, too.

Seems like a few hundred, if not a thousand+, people protesting various causes at City Hall today. I have a feeling it'll be like that through the end of the convention, and if that's the worst it'll be I'm fine with that!

I see Michelle Obama and Bernie as the most interesting people on this list to speak at the DNC.

Yup, if Trump wasn't the nominee I could see the RNC having a line up of speakers in terms of diversity of thought, demographics, and centrist polcies, but unfortunately, their base don't care for that.

I mean:

Bush Sr
Bush Jr
McCain
Romney
Colin Powell
Nikki Haley
Susanna Martinez
Condolezza Rice

etc etc

Sure, I don't agree with those folks on policy, but they should be the real stars in their party, not what we got...

Ivanka vs Chelsea will be the future

If the Democrats haven't learned that they need to move on from the Clinton family in the future, then I'm afraid we've got some pretty rough sailing ahead.

Yeah looks like the dems are more divided than the republicans. Perfect sound bytes for the republicans.

What a disaster. This is bad.

I feel like I'm in bizzaro world. A Trump nom should've caused the Republican party to fucking collapse.

Wow this idiot on msnbc right :0 "I want Jill stein or Donald trump" "Donald trump is less dangerous"

Progressives my ass

This bump isn't what scares me. It's the Trump surge over the past 2 months that basically has made this race close to generic R v generic D.

That's exactly what it's looking like... Further proving that it doesn't matter at all who the nominee is, just the party they represent.

Bernie did not create those people. Those people created Bernie's success.

I'm convinced now more than ever that the hardcore Bernie supporters are just ex Ron Paul fanatics.

There is no way you call yourself a progressive and vote for Trump, who want to repeal the ACA and deport 11 million people.

How is it more divided? Majority of Bernie supporters are planning on voting for Hillary. There will be a loud portion that doesn't want to and they probably wasn't ever going to vote for her.

Bernie got booed when he told his supporters to support Clinton.

Gonna be a wild next four years.

Yes, so strange that after spending months telling your supporters that she is a part of the nefarious ESTABLISHMENT, that you're suddenly endorsing her?

Ugh. Guess it's impossible to know how much his campaign damaged her in the long run, but it hasn't helped her.
