Again one on one is an entirely different dynamic. That and primary debates are worlds different because you are not getting attacked from the other side. Seriously watch the format of past Pres debates. Trump has not had that.

You're not wrong. However, Trump is a man without shame and he's not going to fill his lapses in having a substantive response with silence or stuttering. He's perfectly content to ramble on about non-sequitirs, throw out playground nicknames and just generally defecate out of the anus on his face.

There's a decent percentage of the electorate who love that. There's a decent percentage of the electorate who would recoil with horror at anything Clinton says, regardless of how substantive and on message her answers are. No doubt in my mind she'll "win" the debates. I just doubt that the recognition of her wins will transcend party lines, which they rarely do anyways.

Conservative outlets and voters will praise him. Most mainstream outlets and democratic voters will anoint her the victor. Lather, rinse, repeat... I don't think the debates will matter unless he slips up and drops something insanely offensive.

GE debates are not the circus primary debates are. Yes, he will need to.

I'm not sure about that. Data shows people are more and more resistant to facts. They don't trust politicians, they don't trust the media, they don't even trust fact checkers. There's a reason the RNC had zero policy in the speeches -- people respond to feeling. Most people haven't the slightest clue about policy anyway. Hell, Ivanka Trump relayed Dem policy that runs counter to the GOP platform at the RNC and the GOP ate it up.

I don't think Clinton can win by bringing policy to a culture war.

Newt Gingrich pretty much admitted to this strategy. It's all about FEELS.

Trump has some ammo on Hillary and he will use that but Trump is so thin skinned Hillary can dig at him until he says something that will damage him.

Is Bill gonna fuck this up somehow?
This is Bill tomorrow.

The fix is in, so they want superdelegates to go against what the people wanted and put Sanders at the top of the ticket? What? That literally makes no sense if they're complaining about a supposedly rigged system.

Holy shit, makes the blood boil.

And she has no ammo? Have you not been paying attention to this past year with him running? Come on.

No wonder FOX news works so well.

I absolutely agree with this... It's not about what is said, but how it's said. Charisma, energy, and appearance matter much more than actual content ever has.

"Please proceed Govenor" got praised by the right as well. They immediately went after the media and focused on Romney point right after (Even I forgot what that was). There will never be a universal moment in the current climate.

Another point is Trump's debate performances are inversely proportional to the amount of people on stage. He was directly benefitted by having 10 others but still stumbled under direct questioning (remember how Carly seemed to win against him). I don't think he will make it all 3 debates without pulling out or threatening to do so.

I always wonder how polls can be so correct when few people under the age of 30 have a landline. Hell, my parents and in-laws cut their landlines over five years ago.
