Correct, you cannot achieve 1080p/60fps on Ultra Settings. I posted in the Beta Performance thread. Mind you this was a firefight, so it's accurate where it matters not just random wandering gameplay.

I pray to the Server Gods that we will even be able to log in! As someone mentioned earlier - Division 2 will most likely explain most if not all of what happened in Division 1. Division 1 says I am about 75%~ done with the main story so I think I am mostly caught up lore wise to be able to enjoy Division 2 without feeling super confused at first.
One thing that did greatly annoy me in Division 1 is that I dismantled a bunch of gear, got some crafting material (fabric and tools), went to craft something and it said I had none of that material. I've been getting by with the weapon drops that I get during missions..

I remember D1 launch. My three buddies logged in at same time and were able to group up right away. I kept hitting errors, took about 30 minutes but I got in and caught up to them. Was so much fun. We loved that game. I played it SO much the first month, probably overkill.
Anyway, I’m sure there will be problems. If I don’t get in within an hour I’ll just go to bed and play in morning

There is early access for all non-standard editions on the 12th.
Since it's already the 12th in NZ, a lot of streamers got special access codes or are using VPN.

From what I understand, VPNs are OK. It even says it in the Uplay ToS according to /r/thedivision.
I think the exception is if you use VPN to buy a Uplay title in a region where the game is cheaper.

It's not so tragic, man. I used to have to save for a whole year to buy Sega Genesis carts for $65 back in the 90s. You can get this game for $53 right now on GmG. Just be patient.

Nice, midnight where I'm from. Hmmm...full story first then darkzone...or play til darkzone opens and screw the story. I hear the story is supposed to be better this time around. The missions I did see did seem to have some new elements to it.

I would hate it less if it worked the other way, where regular release was still Tuesday and you pay to play the prior Friday (so we’d already be 3 days in). It seems like they kept the standard Tuesday slot and just charge extra for it, while the three day delay is technically “normal” release day now.
Just seems kinda shady, honestly

Haha, yea a long time friend of mine shares his account with a friend of his that bought the $100 edition, He wanted me to play so bad that he just impulse-bought it when I told him I'd be playing Friday. He literally just got it so I could run through the campaign with him.

So I pre-ordered the US version of the Gold edition from CDKeys like over a month ago. I just got my key and when I try and activate, it says it's not valid in my region. When I look on my order page, there is nothing that indicates a region, but I know I pre-ordered the US version as I've bought from them a million times and I know to look and see what region games are able to be activated in. Am I screwed?

That sucks. I've had good success with CDKeys customer support. Did you contact them?
Not sure if Ubi can help, but worst case and you're stuck with the key, you can activate it via VPN.

Yeah, I contacted CDKeys support. Who knows how long it's going to take for them to not only respond, but get it sorted. Pretty annoyed right now. I'm tempted to just go the VPN route and activate it that way. Is there even a downside to doing that?

Not that I know of.
Ubi only flags accounts for buying digital games across regions.
But CDKeys' keys come from retail packages afaik, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Don't think Xbox works that way. Used to be that you could switch the region and purchase the game.
Not sure if it's still like that. Haven't tried in years. But I think you are out of luck if the game is already bought.
