The Division Beta Thread: Make Manhattan Great Again

I found scrolling that long list of vanity items obnoxious, especially when it would get "stuck" when between e.g. jackets and pants section of list. That menu needs good filters and/or tabs so browsing it would feel tad smoother and faster.

The other menus have different tabs so I'd imagine that could be an easy change to make

Agreed, as of now it's very confusing and unclear.

Hope they make it better before release.

How do you change the difficulty of a mission? If i want to do hospital on hard. I see a matchmaking thing, but I want to do it solo but hard.

What a fun beta! I played for about 20 hours over the weekend. Upgraded my standard pre-order to the Gold edition. With GCU it comes to $80.

Can't wait!

I'm gonna refund the $60 Steam version I preordered and get the Gold as well. This game is going to be well worth it. I started a chain reaction amongst my friends. I told my one friend about it, then he told a couple other friends who watched him play a bit then that evening we we all in the DZ having a blast lol. Everyone preordered and damn near everyone has close to 10 or more hours in the beta.

Ubi usually makes a ton of CEs. why is the Division CE sold out? dammit

If they solve cheating through client side modifications this is going to be weird Ubi game.

Limited amount of CE's and not mass produced, PC version is very solid with a lot effort put into it, PC version gets released on same day as console versions, no microtransactions, season pass is reasonably priced [40USD] etc. What is going on here?

Hold down Y (or Triangle on PS4...dunno what it would be as a PC key)

that should let you choose the difficulty and then start the mission

Damn I missed out. I was focused on other games and kept telling myself to free up harddrive space and now it's over ;_;

Switching clothes with a few button presses is a hassle. C'mon man, no one is that lazy. Right???

It takes all of 25 seconds to change your outfit.

If these are individual pieces of clothing, like in the beta, and you've got a ton of other clothing options with no way to sort (like I had in the beta), it will definitely be a hassle to find all the stuff you want and switch to it before entering PvP. Especially if they stick with the incredibly vague naming of clothing items (though if every piece is named "Hazmat" something something, that won't be bad to go back to it for PvE).

So many little details, you can really tell Massive put a lot of work into this game.

Closed Beta - Cheating
Agents,

Over the last few days, we have seen an unprecedented level of interest for the Closed Beta. We are looking into your feedback with care and we are thrilled by your passion and enthusiasm!
We are aware of the cheating issues in the Closed Beta on PC. The team is fully committed to providing solutions against this and a system will be in place to ensure a fair experience for players when the game is released on March 8.

Thank you all for your feedback and your amazing support!

You have the rest of the day today.

if you could get it installed you can do all the PVE stuff finish the mission on normal and hard and probably run around the Dark Zone some.

worth it if you are truly curious.

If you know you are going to get it either way they its prob not worth the hassle.

Has Massive talked about the dark zone player limit recently?
They kept bragging how'd it be 100 players, but the limit is 30 in the beta.

I heard they said 64 people. 64 people seems balanced for the whole DZ.

I don't know where people are getting this from. All I've ever read is 24 people in the DZ across all platforms and I've even asked on the dev livestream and got the same answer.

In the beta it's 24 people in the DZ with NPC spawns greatly reduced and in the final game it will still be 24 people but with much greater spawns and activity.

Another one.

There are numbers on it. 55-0165

Just checked, same numbers on the other missing poster.

Edit: probably means nothing but nice detail.

Baiting people getting into rogue is pretty hilarious. People getting triggered so easily, all you have to do is just ignore it but no you shoot them in the foot and they go all rambo at you but then those are the ones who die in the end lmao.

You are an awful person.

Really stupid question here, but I haven't bought a physical PC game in years. Do Ubisoft physical PC games usually come with a Uplay code? On Amazon with Prime you get $20 off the physical version so if it does come with a Uplay code there is no reason not to get it.

With proximity chat, each team is going to have to develop some code words for at least "attack" and "retreat".

Before we knew about this we would talk about ambushing people at the dropzone as the helicopter came and they'd run away before we could.

It will be uplay if you buy it anywhere other than Steam on PC. I'd be surprised if the physical version even have a disc in the case. Probably just the code.

Sounds like some excuses for 2 mins of your time.

This is where you need a 'spotter' with a sniper rifle, calling out movements and targets. Too far away for proxy chat.

Does proximity chat even work on PS4? Group chat was so buggy we had to use Party chat.

I wonder if in-game proximity chat will still work if Party chat is being used?

So they're streaming live currently on twitch and one of the devs has said that they have an end game plan they will discuss soon and that best in slot gear does not comes out of the dark zone. Since it's from a dev (@hamishbode) I would say this information is true.

Okay, just checked with the Twitch chat and yeah, it comes from actual endgame content.

All I can say is:

YES!!
I can feel the hype rising now. I've been loving the beta but kinda on the fence to pre-order, since we've yet to hear about end game content and not sure how committed Ubi will be to update the game. Looking forward to the next batch of info to drop.

people take their Steam +1 seriously

I don't...so I go with whatever is cheaper

Its not so much as a +1 as much as i forget I own games if they arent in Steam. For example I installed UPlay to play the beta yesterday, and I have Blood Dragon in my account! I didnt even know I owned it :(

I've been doing this all weekend. It's great fun to run up as a group to a solo/two man team and yell "ROGUE. ROGUE. ARE YOU A ROGUE?" and confuse the crap out of them as we shoot at their feet. We had great success with that.

We had a guy shoot at us and actually become rogue while doing that. For the rest of the time, any time we saw him on the server, we yelled rogue and gunned him down. Sorry, tsmike.

I quickly realized I needed to turn off my in-game mic and turn down proximity chat entirely. Not a feature of the game I have any interest in. My friends and I will use Discord.

I've been rocking a lovely pink skin since day 1, it's too bad I can't put it on my caduceus but I've got it on my m1a and it's just fabulous.

I think you'll miss out on the real excitement of this game by doing so. Getting into a Texas standoff without the ability to communicate is not going to be as fun as trying to negotiate before the conflict happens.

Finally got a chance to play the beta in the middle of the night.

I had no idea it would be this good. Finally.. something to pry me away from destiny. The HUD is a tad bit confusing at first but the game is super fun.

I just hope the game has legs. i can see myself putting in a lot of hours.

not sure why people are worried about content. Ubi is the king of putting too much stuff into their games. I'm not even worried.
