What would you have them say?
"We know about the cheating. We have no plans to fix this. Get f'ed PC Master Race."
or
"We know about the cheating and we will have an anti-cheat system in-place when the game launches." (which is more or less what was said.)
Are you expecting a detailed technical article on it?

You want him to declare holy war agains't anyone that get's caught cheating?
They should honestly make it collapsible or have a better UI for it. Maybe a column for each piece of clothing?
I've never put more hours into a beta before. It just blows my mind how this game which i can only play on low settings keeps me so hooked all the time, there isn't much to do in the beta but i always come back, it's weird.
I will probably just bite the bullet and buy a freakin new graphic card for release.

Did you anticipate them developing and deploying a fix for the closed beta to cover the 24 bonus hours? Confused.
Anything at all to refute that it won't be fixed come launch and maybe how it isn't an entire flaw with their networking system?
All that response is is, please keep your pre order, we'll fix it we promise. I'm not expecting this to fix it in the beta. But seriously, just anything more than "Please give us your money, we promise we'll fix it"
Well nothing against this developer specifically, but that promise is bullshit and i'm tired of hearing it in this industry.
How many times have we been deceived by promises?
1. This season pass content will be great and so worth it!
2. We'll have this bug fixed
3. This game will be 1080p60fps!

I hope they don't make the mistake Destiny did and not have matchmaking for the endgame content. I just want to chill on the couch, shoot faces and get loot. Having to put effort into actually organizing with people outside the game was the stupidest fucking thing that Bungie ever did with Destiny.

Regardless of the cheating situation in the DZ I think I will be putting a ton of hours into this. I love games like this and especially ones where you can build up a base (no matter how simple). That said, I've read that the studio behind this has a lot of experience with online PC games, so I'm still hopeful.

It's a big deal, but they said they are aware of it, so at least they have acknowledged it, so when full game release comes out and it's a shit show we'll call them out on their shit - hopefully this beta has given them enough useful feedback. All we can do is hope they keep their promise to have some sort of way to curtail hacking, as it is inevitable.

Your numbered list also makes no fucking sense in the context of this conversation, a bunch of generalized complaints or "promises" that you may have/may not have heard in connection with unrelated games that have made you angry. Great. You sound like a miserable person.

we'll see. was there a lot of hacking in their other Ubi games? I do know R6 Siege had a lot of cheaters.

I'm just referring to the industry at large. Destiny season pass? Arkham knight season pass? The bioshock infinite season pass? The countless graphical downgrades on games this generation by the time they release?
I'm just saying we keep getting burned by this industry and them promising us stuff and it bums me out. There have been games I've been extremely satisfied with. The witcher 3 for example. CDPR is one developer who followed through on everything, including their season pass. But they are one of the very few.
Don't get me wrong here, I loved what I played of this game. I'm just worried that this stuff won't get fixed by release, and worried about getting burnt on content ala Destiny.

As someone who bought the Destiny Season Pass, I thought it was decent value. For me the burning comes from stuff like the Legendary Edition coming out with all the DLC later on in the game's life

Oh Central Park is in it? I figured it won't be, because it's not on the beta map area (the shape outside of the area you can actually go to in he beta), but that's awesome!

Maybe I'll set it to push-to-talk. In my experience though the majority of other players are only interested in yelling slurs.
If you believe the sub reddit, then every single round in every mode is entirely filled with hackers, glitchers and exploiters.
My group and I play the game every day and we have in over 70 hours played come across 1 single obvious aimbotter. Who was on our team. And then left after 1 round.
So,yeah.

Competitive game = everybody is cheating.
Unless its blatant snapping around its hard to identify good players from the cheaters.
But i guess its easier to blame cheat over admitting defeat.
Awesome! I'm definitely not 100% on board yet and the beta was what I needed to push me over the ledge. Was planning on doing some Destiny IB/NF tonight, but this will take that spot.
who knows, I don't play it. just read that it happened and Ubi was working to get rid of them.
Yeah. I'm referring to all of the posts detailing how people think it's an architecture issue, where the game trusts the client side implicitly.
I don't think most publishers increase the price of season passes after the fact, but I'm not sure on Ubisoft. FYI, if you have Amazon prime, they are offering $20 off for the gold version if you preorder.
closed beta was rock solid in my experience. hopefully open beta ain't a mess.
What you want to do,is wait for the first DLC to be released anyway, see if it is worth it and then grab the season pass cheap on a reseller site.
Wait what. Destiny season pass delivered on its promise. Two expansions post-release which resulted in a great Year 1 experience for many people.

I enjoyed the Beta and there's a lot of potential with this game, but I can't help but feel like it should really be delayed for 6-12 months to flesh some things out more. Obviously that wont ever happen though especially since it's Ubisoft.
This is the smart way to do it, but if you have no self-control like me, you can at least save $20.
Probably half of it will be available, not the whole thing. I would've liked the whole thing, but anything that helps break the monotony of steel structures is good by me.
The Destiny season pass is generally regarded as "not worth it" and "a rip off" since the two DLCs did not add anything that people expected, like new regions, new planets, tons of missions and content.
I certainly enjoyed them *shrug*
the first two expansions were terrible. didn't start enjoying the game again until TTK. then they ruined the game again with their crap updates.
