Gutted that it's over, March seems so far away now
I'm actually glad it's a month instead of a "premium demo" and release would be next week.
Won't get too annoyed by doing the beginning of the game then again and they will have had atleast a little time to adjust values and servers for it to run smoothly. But even a month is a short time. Game must have gone gold already and discs are being pressed.
My only desire is that there won't be a 17GB day-1 patch...
There is a rumor of an open beta at the end of the month.

I really hope it isn't a lazy hat design, like most devs do where it just says "BETA" in big letters across it. I hope it's a cool design.
Nah it's over world wide AFAIK.
If they gave you a gun or something like that, you'd use it for like 3 levels and then get something better. What exactly did you want it to be? Cosmetics aren't going to be outclassed by later level gear. At least objectively...obviously tastes can vary.

I am so fucking sad
This was the exact position I was in after the Destiny Beta ended. The game seemed so, so great and all it needed was a full singleplayer campaign. The game seemed so polished and fun during Beta I thought "fuck it, I trust these guys", and took the plunge, pre-ordering before reviews and feedback was in. Went digital.
Never again.
The Division looks great but I'm being extra careful this time.

It'll be from the game's NY hockey team [forgot the name], so not something too special.
The whole "appearance" menu needs a massive overhaul. It's such a mess to navigate, and often impossible to see the actual differences because the player character is so zoomed out.
Why didn't they make it so you can collapse the different categories like a folder? I didn't really enjoy scrolling through 25 jackets to get to some new pants.
And why can't I move my character to see the appearance better in this menu? It seems like a no-brainer to have it like
Jacket menu - zoom to character's jacket
Shoes menu - zoom to character's shoes
That entire menu seemed placeholder.

Buying this on Xbox One and not just because DLC will be released first there.
Weapon skins obviously.
And definitely agreed on the appearance menu SJRB, the exact complaints I have.
EDIT: Oh it's a custom hockey team that only exists in their world. I wonder what it looks like.
I'll second this. I would've liked to see a weapon skin instead, much for useful and more applicable.

In the beta it was 24, I assume it'll stay the same for the final game though I could be wrong. We don't have a confirmed number at the moment.
I'm not sure if it's just my PC, but also the boots in the preview seem to be loaded with very low resolution textures (everything else looks fine, but the boots are a blurry mess).

that's the number we've been given. Also why the beta seemed to have so much chaos going on at all times, as those 24 players were herded to a smaller area than the final game would have available.

Any idea if they plan on adding masks etc in the final game? Even if just cosmetic
CA off, sharpness between 60-80 percent.
Did not make that much of a difference though, preorder still canceled.

Are they going to do some kind of region segregation (something like Rainbow Six Siege)?
I am from Brazil, and teammed with a lot of people from around the planet and had no lag problem at all.
Their server/cloud backend to host the Darkzone instances is very well implemented.
Darkzone is on Dedicated servers so one would assume that a user would automatically be placed on a server with lowest latency. So while their won't be "region segregation", players will find they will be matched with players from the same region.
Thankfully you're able to join international friends though you may experience an increase in lag due to the larger latency.
Well you can get those masks but they have a purpose in the game, so it's not just cosmetic.
But i know what you mean, you wanna run around like this guy and afaik i don't think they said anything.
I think skull masks and such is more the thing that the enemy factions would use.
The Division is about helping people. Being open and friendly to civilians.
Wearing a skull mask screams "I am a dumb rioter" from miles away.

btw is the player character really not talking, or was that just a beta thing? because that's really annoying imo.
Well there is no slot for cosmetic masks, head gear is only protective masks and hats so i highly doubt they will add anything like that.
