Grifters gonna grift. This is exactly what the grifter wants and will drive them more traffic, but it's still great to see a dev clap back.
It's definitely great to see a developer triggered by language in a thumbnail, not watch the video, attack a creator defending his game, and continue to generate negative attention. Wait....Grifters gonna grift. This is exactly what the grifter wants and will drive them more traffic, but it's still great to see a dev clap back.
REV is a straight and married dude. Just uses an anime girl avatar as his brand. His one of the biggest "anti woke" youtubers that report alot of stuff regarding anime and games.anti-woke (most likely) trans v-tuber? Damn we are reaching levels of terminally online discourse, never thought possible
Oh wow, my bad, just that the voice sounds like someone in process of HRT. Never mind thenREV is a straight and married dude. Just uses an anime girl avatar as his brand. His one of the biggest "anti woke" youtubers that report alot of stuff regarding anime and games.
They missed out watching the Monday night wars, it's all I can think ofWhat with the anime girl shit. Wtf is wrong with genz ppl?
If the other party is literally spewing Nazi shit, no need to stay polite.Well for me that is applicable in real life interaction like arguments and self defense, but in business, for me, it is different were customers and fans must be listened too and be patient and be humble with them to earn there trust ( and there money ). As they always say in business, the customer is always right.
No, no, we have a super reputable source (some random in Saudi Arabia) that said there is unskippable gay hot and steamy sexy time. Let’s get our pitchforks out!The problem ain't the game. You can be as gay as you want to be in BG3. You can have basically any combination of body parts to go with that. And, everyone is just fine with that game. People love that game. I'm not seeing a ton of posts and outrage about that game. Especially when all of this drama is over a game that hasn't released yet.
i like vara but some of her videos i go that is not that woke come on girl.Either way, this vara dark nerdy chick is still a grifter. Her reputation proceeds her. She has more video about culture war bs than videos that spread postive news about gaming. Her channel is infested with arguing about what is woke or isnt. I had to use blocktube on her ass, because Im sick of hearing this about this type of stuff.
The controversies surrounding Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 have taken a sharp turn as Warhorse Studios’ co-owner Daniel Vávra finds himself embroiled in a public feud with popular YouTuber Rev Says Desu. Ironically, the clash stems from a video in which Rev defended the game against accusations of wokeness, yet Vávra’s aggressive response has only fueled further backlash.
Vávra’s Misstep
It all started when Rev released a video addressing claims of preorder cancellations for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and the backlash the game was receiving for supposedly going “woke” due to optional romance scenes between two men and more diverse NPCs. The video defended the game’s historical authenticity and optional romance mechanics while discussing public concerns about the studio’s handling of controversies.
The video’s title was “‘Woke’ Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Backlash Results In MASS Preorder Refunds As Developer Loses Trust.”
That appears to be all Vávra actually saw of the video. Because despite Rev’s balanced tone, Vávra lashed out at him on social media, labeling Rev a “grifter” and dismissing his claims as sensationalist.
Instead of quelling the controversy, Vávra’s public spat with Rev has only magnified it. Players who were previously considering buying the game, like Smash JT, are now canceling preorders, citing Vávra’s behavior as the tipping point. What began as a defense of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has devolved into a PR nightmare for Warhorse Studios, with Vávra’s actions undermining the studio’s credibility.
What the fuck is even happening with this game? Are they trying to play both sides in culture wars or something? lol
What a rollercoaster! I might have to get an AI summary of the events or something.I don't know. Half of me feels like Vavra is still based, somehow even more now and the other half feels like he's gone off the deep end, bent knee to Embracer DEI and being deceitful about what's in the game. I don't know what to feel anymore, but I can't get enough of the whole story.
No, he isn't trans. He is a married dude who's literally using the "it's a trap" trope. Something which was kinda popular in anime for some time.anti-woke (most likely) trans v-tuber? Damn we are reaching levels of terminally online discourse, never thought possible
It's funny how many of you knee jerk respond to this thread. The "thing" here is the Youtuber in question was defending Warhorse, or at least suggesting much of this is an overreaction and we need more clarity, not jumping in the "bandwagon" and Vavra attacked him (he couldn't have watched the video is what this means) by calling him a grifter. Based on everything I've been able to determine at this point, it's Vavra that's the grifter.
That's pretty much the only conclusion that can be drawn, best I can understand. This whole thing is just wild.Yeah, I watched the video too and Rev was defending Warhorse - saying more information was required before jumping to conclusions and things like that. I'm not sure why Vavra pinpointed his video, but it's like he only looked at the title and just went from there.
