I highly recommend the Travel Lanterns mod that was recommended to me by Lime. The only lighting mod I'm running now is CoT - which is great - but things can be difficult to make out at times, even on the brightest settings. That's when I bust out a trusty lantern! I've got Lydia equipped with one, for hot dual-lantern action.

Getting rid of one or the other should fix it. There are a few ENBs that work with CoT, but I can't recall the names atm. I do know most of them are cited on the CoT Nexus page though, in the description category.
Try tweaking this in enbseries.ini
DirectLightingIntensityNight=1.1 //1.0
DirectLightingCurveNight=1.0 //1.0
DirectLightingDesaturationNight=0.2 //0.0
Try disabling the ENB via shift+F12 first and see if the problem still exists.
If it doesnt change the enb settings like KKRT00 recommended or use a different ENB/no CoT.
Should the nights still be extremely dark even though you disabled the enb the problem is something else (CoT setting/some other mod)

What the fuck man. That looks amazing. I need the lighting to look like that in my game. In mine you can barely see character's faces. Do you have the ini files so I can try them?

what kind of "options" are you looking for?
If you want to enable some lighting mods that came with opeth you will have to activate them under "data files" in the skyrim or a mod launcher.
All enb files must be in skyrim\ folder, not skyrim\data\ folder.
Of course enb need to have enb features activated in endseries.ini

First time modding skyrim and I tried out Sharpshooter ENB. Not really digging it though. How do I disable?
My suggestion would be to enjoy the game as it is and consider modding once you're done (?) with the mainquests.
I'm not aware of any VATS like mod but, from a purely visual outcome, you could consider The Dance of Death with 100% killmove chance on third person.
That coupled with a crossbow should give you a little VATS-y feeling I guess.

It's not a vanilla armor: it's the Ritual Armor of Boethiah mod. It's a hi-res black dragonscale, lore friendly, light armorset!
Do you guys know of any thing I can do to fix this issue I am having?
The horse I bought at Whiterun walks back by itself to the stables there whenever I dismount it, no matter where I am. This is obviously very annoying.
I wanted to look into Better Horses (for the horse whistle feature) but it hasn't been updated in many months so I doubt it will work.

Convenient Horses is great. I've been using it for a while and I couldn't play without it, at this point. It's a essential mod for anyone who wants to use horses.

Here are some screenshots I've taken using a custom enb on skyrim, (mostly Opethfeldt6), using nothing more than the official hi-res texture pack through steam, and the few mods that came with Opethfeldt6.
I pretty much run at 60hz everywhere, (660ti sli, Windows 8), I still can't pick my jaw up off the floor while I'm playing. I get the feeling like I'm playing in a Pixar movie at times.
I'll upload more pics as I go along if anyone is interested!

This game is NIGHT AND DAY from the PS3 version. ESPECIALLY with a good PC.
I've only got ENB OPETH6 or whatever, a music mod with Oblivion music integrated with the Skyrim music, the official HD patch, and it looks and runs like a dream.
3770k/GTX 670, and no framedrops. I want to install more lol and maybe even get the DLC.

I was just using "Data Files"... and then the Workshop for the music ones since I couldn't find that on Skyrim Nexus.
But ever since Wet and Cold and Enhanced Lights and FX I'm getting constant CTDs. But now, even if I disable them I get CTDs!!
I installed Boss and Nexus Mod Manager, but I don't know how to fix this, or undo the problem. I have a few save files but even using an earlier one it eventually crashes. I have a feeling I'll need to delete everything completely and start a new game. Boy this is annoying
Any ideas? PLEASE lol!!!

How far are you in the game? I'm not the best for trouble shooting but I think since your mods aren't particularly well organized it may be worth starting over from scratch. Your save may be ok, there isn't anything there that I would think would ruin it but it's possible that you may not be able to use it if you don't have specific mods installed at this point.
I'm about four hours into the game. I did the intro, a few small caves and like one quest. Stole a bandit's horse and went all the way to Riften from Winterhold from Whiterun plus some looting and some leveling up. It's not like I'd be losing a ton of progress but the first few hours are so goddamn boring.
How do I organize them properly?
I have "Data Files" BOSS and Nexus Mod Manager, I'm just not sure how to use them or which I should be using or whatever. Everything's running off of Data Files except, like I said the music files are from steam workshop but I can't imagine them being the culprit.
Everything besides the music was downloaded off of Skyrim Nexus and installed manually according to their directions.

Now that you have the mod manager installed, you can just click the "Download with manager" link in the Skyrim Nexus and when it's done downloading, you can just enable the mod through manager. It handles everything for you for the most part.

Anyone had any luck getting the Warzones mod to work without crashing in every single battle?
It seems like I'm hitting a memory ceiling because it always happens after a certain amount of time has passed. I've disabled it in the meantime but I'd like to know if anyone's got any tricks for this.
What's annoying is that I'm only running a few graphical mods (W.A.T.E.R., the official HRTP are ones with the most impact) and it's still too much for it, apparently.

The ENB obviously has to install manually right? I don't see a download with manager anywhere.

I don't use ENB but I'm pretty sure ENB is a manual install.

Yes. ENB's need to be manually installed. Thats basically just dropping files into your Skyrim folder so its nothing too complex.

Try renaming the file then use the launcher to configure it again. I'm willing to guess it will be recreated automatically.
Ah well. Skyrim doesn't work on my machine. HD Patch Hearthfire Opethfeldt6 ENB and some music is all I have installed. The save may be corrupt or may not be, but this save is from way back after just getting to Whiterun. And I hadn't tried any of those other mods, so if it's breaking this early, I might pass on the whole game.
Plus it looks like everyone here has had their fill of Skyrim. Maybe I'll try sometime who knows. I've got nothing of consequence in terms of mods on here that could even potentially break it, (music, official textures, official dlc, rendering style), so I can't even fathom what Skyrim's problem is, which makes it really just a waste of time at this point
