Just finished the first quest for the golden claw and it's a completely solid 60fps at 1080p maxed out with a 970.
Thanks for the help guys, the V-Sync fix seemed to work, my FPS has certainly increased.
Are there any game breaking bugs that can arise from not locking to 60? It just looks so damn smooth at 100+
Seeing as fallout 4 got it in a later update, maybe the se will as well. I hope anyways.
What should I be using - fullscreen or borderless window?
Downloading the game right now to my 3gb 970m laptop. I'll let you know how it runs here.
It's interesting how the game requires smaller free space than the original skyrim
Locked 60fps at 1440p Ultra on my 6600K/1070. Seems like there might be a bug with the conflicting performance reported in this thread.
Yeah please let me know, thanks.
Off to a great start, the launcher and game itself ran off of the intel igpu, resulting in 8fps on ultra lol. You need to force the 970m to run here. Anyway, from my 5 minutes worth of testing, the initial caravan scene hovers between 40-50fps on ultra at 1080p, then improving a bit once you reach the village. Seems to be pretty good for the 970 and it looks like a good 60fps is doable with a few adjustments.
Lol, thanks for the heads up. You got a i7 4720hq in your lap ?
Nope, i7 6700hq here but I think you'll be fine with the 4720hq. I believe that even benches slightly higher than my skylake cpu
Can I change the FOV in some setting?
fDefaultWorldFOV=XX
fDefault1stPersonFOV=XX
I made my own profile and copied some of the settings from the Fallout 4 one. Are you using borderless windowed mode? That caused massive stutter for me and a much lower framerate. Switching to fullscreen fixed it.
Well, I think I'm okay with original version + ENB + 10 or so mods that I use.
To get this "Special Edition" I need like one DLC I still haven't bought (useless Hearthfire) and even though it costs me like 80 RUB or something, fuck it, it's not worth it.
Also be sure to lock to 60fps. Running over it will cause physics problems.
Nope, I've no desire to play this game again after I finish my first playthrough cuz it's not Morrowind and Morrowind is a much better TES game and will always be my favorite. I've played this game for years after it came out and I couldn't even finish Slyrim with all of it's story DLCs at least onces after 5 years since launch. That should tell you something. It's better that Oblivion, but nothing more, unfortunately.Could be worth it in the future because of native 64 bit (4+gb ram) and dx11 support. That is if you plan to replay the game of course.
Yep, started with fullscreen. I changing dx1x to killing floor bits, then changed dx10 # of gpus to 4 and predefined sli mode to AFR.
Would you please upload your profile?
The same method as for ultra-wide in the OP should work.there's no way to play this in 3440x1440 resolution yet, is there?
It would be quicker and simpler to make your own, surely?
I did and it performed worse than a single GPU, hence, I asked for yours to eliminate errors.
Which SLI bits did you use? I just copied the one from Fallout 4 (0x080000F5), and the two options from the SLI section (though I don't think they are needed if the compatibility bits are used). That's literally all my custom profile is.
If it still performs poorly with that then the problem must something else unrelated to the profile. I needed to switch from borderless windowed to fullscreen to get it running smoothly, could it be that?

I...I can't even run the launcher.
What are your PC specs?
i7 2600
16GB
960 4GB
Windows 10
I've verified the files but I still can't access the launcher via Steam. My PC is working perfectly.

If you pre-loaded, try reinstalling. The game was insta-crashing on me until I reinstalled.
Try reinstalling.
I remember reading about some people having the same issue with vanilla and win10. Apparently something can go missing.
