Just a different era of comedy.
I could listen to those two guys reminisce stand up sets from back in the day for hours.
You know, I've never watched an episode. Maybe I'll have to go check it out.Seinfelds comedians in cars with Jay and Dave were just that. They were great.
Oprah is Oprah, and Carol Burnett is great, but the lack of real star power for this send off is telling.
Didn't realize Brooks did any shows anymore

WE DON'T KNOW THE LYRICS GARTH BROOKS
this is a really shitty ending to a 20+ year show
I agree. He's actually pretty good. I like his energy too.I've found the only people that don't like Jimmy are people who won't give him a chance, or are basing his hosting on the first few weeks.

I just saw Comedians in Cars with Jay. I actually gained a lot of respect for him on there. He's so much funnier outside of the Tonight Show formula.
Not as appropriate here as it was in the original thread, but still
It's weird. All these other comedians would always talk about how funny he was/is, and I'm like "really?". After watching that, I now get it.I remember during the writer's strike and Jay was the only one writing the jokes, the Tonight Show was actually pretty funny.
