The final Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Just a different era of comedy.

I could listen to those two guys reminisce stand up sets from back in the day for hours.

I wouldn't go with Garth, but maybe Jay is a big fan. That's boomer music right there.

They just ran an ad of all the Tonight Show hosts in history and I gotta admit, it's pretty awesome seeing Conan on there. Even though it was short lived, nobody can take that from Conan as long as he lives.

I am not a fan of Leno, but I give him respect for his final goodbye speech and his sincerity!

having said that... I can't wait for Fallon to take over.

I've found the only people that don't like Jimmy are people who won't give him a chance, or are basing his hosting on the first few weeks.

Not a fan of Leno, but that ending was obviously heartfelt. 22 years is a long time to be dedicated to something like that.

I don't like Jimmy because he has a habit of laughing at his own jokes in the middle of a routine or delivery and ruining everything.

The problem is he's not a stand-up comic and he's terrible at interviews. It also doesn't help that he's up against someone (Ferguson) who excels with interacting with the crowd and talking with guests.

What a perfect gif.

I just saw Comedians in Cars with Jay. I actually gained a lot of respect for him on there. He's so much funnier outside of the Tonight Show formula.

I remember during the writer's strike and Jay was the only one writing the jokes, the Tonight Show was actually pretty funny.

It's weird. All these other comedians would always talk about how funny he was/is, and I'm like "really?". After watching that, I now get it.

Fallon's interaction with Higgins and the Roots makes the show. I enjoy his interviews way more than Jay's scripted interview. Fallon's skits/bits/games are so much better than Headlines or Jaywalking. And he has the best band in Late Night!

I've seen his earlier shows, and more recent ones. Zero improvement.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what will Seth do with the show

I've watched Fallon's show beyond its first year and my opinion hasn't changed; He's a terrible interviewer with the vocabulary of a teenager who fakes interest in most pop culture unless it's reality TV and routinely breaks out laughing as soon as something becomes slightly funny, effectively preventing that something from becoming anything more than slightly funny.

Seems like a nice guy though.
