Will we get an origin episode explaining Joes fascination with beanies? Is the dude getting hairplugs on alternate weekends or something?

Well, Arrow dedicated an episode to the origin of Felicity's hair so anything is possible.

Oh wow, love how diversive the show is, gay Captain was a nice surprise

Also, this episode #15 is fuckin amazing

hooooooooooooly shit, dat ending

He's gay in the comics also.

Whats your impressions of the show?

Started watching last night and i'm halfway through #18 right now

In love, show started kinda cheesy and i didn't really care much for the characters but it grew on me really fast, #15 confirmed it

Considering the fact that the only comic-related thing i liked was XM-DOFP (hell i fell asleep watching The Avengers) it says a lot

Also, getting really curious of Arrow...i'll probably have to watch it to help the withdrawal once this finishes

Arrow takes itself way too seriously and is Batman-lite, but the Flash crossovers at the very least are worth watching.

Only thing i know about Arrow

But yeah, crossovers alone could be worth it

You might like Arrow until season 3.

Yup, seems like it's what i'll probably do

No harm in giving it a shot, its not the exact same a Flash but obviously has the same DNA and the cross-overs are good. If you're stuck for suggestions I'd give the Justice League Unlimited a go.

Ironically Daredevil had a similiar approach of darkness, but handled it better. Yes, Daredevil had better requisitions, but that doesn't change that it's so much better than Arrow in what it does. In everything it does.

I actually disagree

They are similar in being ground-level, but I do think tried to do two diff things in their first season.

And of course, their respective first-viewing arenas have diff priorities.

You didn't really need to start a Daredevil vs Arrow comparison in a Flash thread, but the bolded just isn't true.

Yes. And that's the problem. Daredevil was lacking all of the teen angst subplots, while providing worthwhile Flashbacks in the past of Matt and Fisk, building up their different lives, approaches and characters, which I enjoyed even more than the island flashbacks (and those were the part of the series I enjoyed the most in season 1).
Of course Arrow had the revenge and list plot, opposed to the justice and what people can do, but in their core both series are about people with extraordinary, but not supernatural, alien or magic abilties who ultimately evolve into becoming vigilantes, fighting the lower and bigger crime in the city in a darker comic setting. Both seasons set up the motivations and shaping of the heroes and how that influences their enviroment.

There are a lot of things that Arrow could learn from Daredevil.

Aight, sorry, I thought this was the Arrow thread. I honestly confuse both threads all the time, since the discussion of the two shows tends to travel.

Kinda off topic but saw this posted on another site

Its a custom made from an Injustice Flash figure.
Really shows me how dang definitive the CW design is, should keep that color scheme in the comics.

Yeah the reverse flash suit is killer in this show. It should absolutely be used elsewhere.

This was my favorite part

"We haveno idea either so we won't even pretend to give you a reason!"

I don't know anything about the comics really but I thought someone said being able to see other timelines was one of vibes abilities. If so I'd say they're building towards that.
One of Vibe's abilities in the New 52 is indeed to sense changes in the timelines. I'm not sure if it's specifically Speed Force related changes, though. Vibe's powers can also disrupt Speed Force energy.

I had a curiosity... found out the flash gets over 2 million viewers in canada every episode O_o

That's more than half the US viewership

Always glad to hear about this shows success. I wonder how successful it would be if the cw had as large a viewership as some of the bigger networks

Arrow is good, I was getting really sick of the Island flashbacks but China has been worse. I'd be happy when all the flashback stuff is done with.

Flash has had a much stronger start but lots of stuff just isn't making much sense hopefully they can tie up the plotlines.

The crossover episodes are really fun.

Captain Ashur Boomerang needs his own show.

New Zealand plays Flash and Arrow back to back, I think they do quite well but I'd have to ask a friend with access to the NZ ratings to get a ballpark number.

while I am still worried Iris will ruin the episode and not allow it to be as good as last weeks, grodd is still very much hyping me up.

I personally think Iris has every right to be upset about being kept in the dark. I hope they don't drag it out but her being mad wouldn't ruin the episode for me at all.

Anyway that new clip is intense. Can't wait to see the episode tomorrow.

I'd say she has every right to be disappointed, not much right to be upset. She has a right to be disappointed that he felt like telling her wasn't the right thing to do, but she should understand that he was doing it to try to keep her safe (or at least he thought he was)... he only told her to her face like 100 times as the flash that he didn't want her involved because it wasn't safe, thus she doesn't have much ground to stand out to be pissed at him aside from her super bitch powers.

I've had that conversation with a number of my friends who watch flash as well. We all agreed that if one of us had super powers and didn't tell the other, that when we found out we wouldn't be upset, just disappointed and then likely geek out and want to see a demonstration.

regardless of all of that, I hope it's an afterthought of the episode, takes up no more than 5 minutes, and is never touched upon again as Iris speaking on screen is in general my least favorite moments of the flash. which is sad because I actually really enjoy eddie's stuff with iris. I'm hoping between the seasons the writers sit down and seriously access her character and think about how to properly build drama with a female character instead of most of the time just throwing her rationality out of the window for the sake of drama.

I like how Joe just randomly carries bananas on his person.
always take a banana to a party, banana's are good.

Yeah, especially since the entire season has been the Let's Lie to Iris for No Good Reason Hour

New Episode Toinght - #21 "Grodd Lives"

Barry must deal with the Reverse-Flash's latest threat to a member of the group. To make matters worse, Dr. Wells unleashes Grodd on the city in order to distract Barry and the team. Joe, Barry and Cisco head down into the sewers to catch Grodd, but the gorilla quickly gets the upper hand after he kidnaps Joe. Iris and Barry have a heart to heart talk, as she's already forgotten about Eddie.

I just realised how convenient it is that Grodd is telepathic. Saves them a boatload of money of facial capture/animation.
