Holy fuck.
"Because I hate you."
. The way Cavanaugh just delivers that line is chilling
because it sounds so matter of fact.

Flash S2 |OT| Flash
Arrow S4 |OT| Point

That would be an amazing start to the fall.

what a brilliant idea.

Legends of Tomorrow |OT| Paradox

So much coming out the last week for the DC-tv-verse. I don't know which thread to post in to keep up with you guys. This one was closest to the top, so is it this one?

excited to see her in the costume but kind of unhappy about it too. I really wanted this main team to stay intact for at least another half season or something.

It might just be for his alteration of the timeline and she will go back to normal at least for a while when he fixes it, I hope.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!
Killer Frost was confirmed for The Flash, & Danielle Panabaker has already done fitting for the costume.

Yeah I think she'll be in the finale as part of some screwed up timeline or something. We'll get a Killer Frost preview but Barry will fix the timeline so she won't stay that way. I'm sure we'll get it for real in the future though.

Yeah - it seems like it's foreshadowing more than anything. And man, Reverse Flash's smugness should be great. He has to taunt Barry about this...

I'm thinking that newspaper will get Flashpointed away. Give the present day Flash an open future so to speak. Plus the whole destined romance angle isn't very fun.

Yeah I could see that happening. No one enjoys having their future set years in advance. Besides there's no fate but what we make.

My other theory is that
Barry screwing with the timeline causes Ronnie to get killed somehow (thus explaining his absence from Legends of Tomorrow). This could cause a falling-out between Caitlin & Barry, then you factor in the Particle Accelerator which Reverse Flash is apparently trying to activate which may give Caitlin her powers.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
I'm not sure how much of the newspaper can be altered as
the crisis event may not even have anything to do with the Reverse Flash. From the description, it sounds like a Crisis on Infinite Earths situation and that may be destined to happen at that time regardless of when or even if Barry became the Flash.

Dead Ronnie isn't very fun when presumably a big part of the storyline is the interactions between Killer Frost and Firestorm.

When Barry loses his powers we see the red skies vanish article in the newspaper. It's not even the headline. And the event does involve the Reverse Flash, the article specifically states Flash disappears during his fight with the Reverse.

I think you have it mixed up:

It's clear that Barry ends the Crisis.

My current theory regarding Reverse Flash being there:
as the paper never described the nature of the fight or what it pertained to, I think Reverse Flash, being such a huge Flash fan originally, went back in time to save Barry at that moment. Barry knew he had to sacrifice himself, but Reverse Flash was willing to fight him over it.

Except there's also this one.

Both of the screens are from the same episode. After we see the pic you posted Wells asks gideon to look for any references to the flash which is where Zero's pic comes in.
Yeah, I just went back and found the scene myself, too (about 12 minutes in if you have the commercials removed).

They show the newspaper a few times the way my image showed it, then when they cut to the wide shot, it's like Zero's. I think it might be a production mistake, as they clearly went to the trouble to change it to "Threaten."

I don't think that
Ronnie will die. In the LoT trailer, Stein refers to himself as "half" of a superhero, and says "my other half is.. combustible". The present tense implies Ronnie is alive.

But in that case,
How can he power up?
Finale has stuff to answer for.

I think it's entirely possible that we get Flashpoint but also don't get it at the same time and end up only seeing the end result with another, older Barry stopping his younger self from saving his mother. Might not be as interesting to watch but it saves them a lot of money and headaches with showing a very altered present but still leaves it open enough for there to be minor changes as a result of it.

Since Legends of Tomorrow doesn't start till the mid-season we still have plenty of time to get answers for that.
Berlanti promised we'd know the reason behind no-Ronnie after the first season of The Flash. We also don't know the timeline of when Legends of Tomorrow is set, it might air mid-season but be set at another time, like concurrent with the entire season.

Possibly. But if Oliver and Flash knowing who Vandal Savage is will be canon, I'm guessing they fight him in the 2015 crossover episode.

I'm starting to watch the Arrow now and there's a part of Three Ghosts where they show Barry getting struck by lightning, but it plays out in a similar but noticeably different way than in The Flash. For example, in The Arrow he was calling Felicity whereas in The Flash he wasn't. Have they ever explained this retcon? Speedforce time travel shenanigans is my head canon right now.

We still have another potential Firestorm half with Jason Rusch.
