The Flash |OT| Gotta Go Fast - Tuesdays 8/7c

I'm starting to watch the Arrow now and there's a part of Three Ghosts where they show Barry getting struck by lightning, but it plays out in a similar but noticeably different way than in The Flash. For example, in The Arrow he was calling Felicity whereas in The Flash he wasn't. Have they ever explained this retcon? Speedforce time travel shenanigans is my head canon right now.

Originally Flash was going to have a backdoor pilot episode on Arrow, and they just decided to scrap that and went for the series right away. No time travel, just production stuff. If it had stayed a backdoor pilot, that probably would have stayed in to give it a connection to Arrow, but they probably axed it so the pilot episode of Flash could at least stand on its own.

I'd imagine most likely Ronnie will end up a series regular for season 2. That might be why he isn't in LoT. Or not as a full time cast. He will likely still come along and be Firestorm for some episodes there, just like how Arrow & Flash will likely guest star in some episodes.

Yeah this sounds like the most likely outcome to me.

They axed it because the awful experience they had with The Originals. They had to redo that backdoor pilot so that it made sense without a direct link to The Vampire Diaries, but it made for an awful half-repeat of the backdoor pilot.

Just another E3 hype gif...

Along with saving his mother, Barry has always wanted to go back in time and get the game released somehow.

I would very much like him to go back in time and find a way to prevent Zelda WiiU from getting delayed. I've been stuck in the darkest timeline since it's delay and only he can fix it.

If they had plans for Jason Rusch, the casting sure didn't reflect it. Seems they just picked up a local.

My hope is still for Robbie Amell to be a regular on Flash next season. He needs to be there for
his supervillain wife
.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Robbie Amell is sticking around for awhile. Speculation
of Ronnie's death seems premature at this point. He'll surely be important to whatever Killer Frost storyline they cook up.

I wanted to share this from Grant Gustin's Facebook page. Let's all join together for some feels.

It's happening, guys. The finale is finally here. THIS TUESDAY. It was a long, emotional season and it's all about to come to an end. Well, there will be some closure at least. It is the season finale of The Flash after all.. it can't be ALL sunshine and smiles. You'll just have to come back for season 2.

Check out the trailer if you please. I do suppose it could be considered SOMEWHAT spoilery. As usual though, it does not reallyyyyyy give away any of the big reveals..

AGAIN, I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for tuning in to our show all season and making it the hit that it has become. Every time I stop and think about the fact that I get to play The Flash and Barry Allen and there are people out there that love our show... I can't even fully explain it to be honest. It almost feels like I'm watching it happen to someone else at times. I will always feel grateful for getting to do what I love to do and now I have all of you to thank for helping me get to do that, AND on what I think is a ground breaking show led by geniuses Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns. I really believe they are the perfect people to be bringing this iconic character to life. They love this character & they're incredibly passionate about getting him right. They're also pretty okay guys and I love working with them. I feel incredibly lucky.
I also feel very lucky to get to work with the cast & crew every single day on this show. We have spent some lonnnggggg days & nights together and we all know how challenging it was to make every single one of the 23 episodes we made this season. I have so much respect for every person I got to work with on this first season. It was no joke.
I especially love our cast. Jesse, Tom, Candice, Danielle, Los & Pretty Ricky. The "we moved to Canada to make this tv show" group. I love you all. You inspire me every day and getting to work with you is a dream. Our show doesn't accidentally rock. It's because you all bust your butts because you want to and it's fun. I can't wait to start season 2 with you.

I can't not mention awesome cast members John Wesley Shipp, Patrick Sabongui, Robbie Amell, Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, Brandon Routh, Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy, Wentworth Miller, Dom Purcell, Victor Garber, Liam McIntyre, Malese Jow, Clancy Brown, Michelle Harrison, Logan Williams, Greg Finley, Chad Rook, Nicholas Gonzalez, Andy Mientus, Emily Kinney, Paul Anthony, Anthony Carrigan, Dani Nicolet, Britne Oldford, Micah Parker, Devon Graye, Chase Masterson, Doug Jones, Peyton List, Kelly Frye, Roger Howarth, Michael Smith, Matt Letscher, Michael Reventar, Amanda Pays, Isabella Hofmann, Jeremy Schuetze, Robert Knepper, Vito D'Ambrosio, Al Sapienza, David Ramsey, William Sadler & Mark Hamill. I realize that's a long list of people, but for me being relatively "new" to the business and having never been a regular a show before, getting to work with all of those actors and watching them help bring our show to life always made it feel like that much more of an authentic world to me. Those are some heavy hitters and bad ass actors on that list. SO i guesses I should also thank David Rapaport for bringing all of them to us and for jump starting this opportunity for me as well.

OKAY.

I apologize for the ramble.

Thank you for putting up with it if you made it through all of my poor grammar and absurd train of thought.

Point is...thank you & watch the season finale please.

Also reading this reminded me:
Matt Letscher/original Eobard should be showing up in the finale, he was mentioned as getting a second episode and has been hinting at it on Twitter.

Yeah good on Grant Gustin. You can just tell he's really appreciative of this likely once in a lifetime role. He really seems like good people.

Yeah I remember Matt said he'd be back before the season was over and since we're going back to the past that would be the perfect time to come back. I wonder if the last fight with Reverse Flash will be against the Letscher version. When Barry goes back he could prevent him from killing Wells which would make the version of him in the future become the Letscher Thawne.

Well whatever happens I just can't wait for this Tuesday to finally get here.

Better yet,
I think Ronnie Raymond could replace Caitlin Snow on Team Flash after Caitlin goes off the deep-end.

I really dislike how often CW shows skip a week. It feels like the Arrow and Flash can't go more than 3 consecutive episodes without random weeks being skipped. It doesn't stop me from watching the shows obviously but it's just frustrating.

I've already seen last weeks Arrow and it makes sense that they skipped that weeks Flash because "I have an overdue conversation to have with a Mr. Harrison Wells", but I can't help feel like this could have been avoided if they hadn't also skipped random Arrow episodes earlier in the season too.

I hope he stays on for future seasons and he doesn't die.
I would hope so, Reverse Flash is an iconic arch enemy of the Flash. I mean, they could introduce another, but he is build up as something bigger and him not actually want to kill Barry gives the oppurtunity of having a very strong villain on the show that has a reason not to go after the hero all the time. In fact, he could appear as support now and then, to help Barry getting stronger or helping him against an superior enemy with actual power or with information. So much possiblity that would be lost if he would perish.

Oh, you should watch Person of Interest and Gravity Falls. While you're at it, start to read the manga Berzerk and Hunter x Hunter.

I think something important to keep in mind is that Reverse Flash's story plays out, well, in reverse.

We're currently seeing the end to his plan and his efforts. Every subsequent appearance is actually him earlier and earlier in his story.

So it's River Flash then?

Cavanagh is so amazing in this show.
It seems in the show Eobard Thawne is not from the 25th century as he is born 136 year from now. I also think it's kind of funny that Thawne seems to genuinely like big belly burger.

So we still don't know why Wells hates barry. Hopefully the pay off is good.

I would like to know too but at the same time I think it's kind of cool that he doesn't think it matters. We could learn about it in full detail in a future season when Thawne first meets Barry.

WE RUN OUT OF COWS IN THAT TIMEFRAME!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
