I keep seeing the number 52 populated over every set. I don't know if this is random happenstance, but it is sort of freaking me out if its some elaborate hint going forward.

The transition between Iris pointing a gun at Clock King and then showing him get arrested and her safe was weird.

I think Reverse Flash aka Eddie Thawne intervened there, Can't have Iris dying yet I guess.

This fuckin' show is too good. Favourite episode by far.
With the crossover next week and
Reverse-Flash
the week after, it's going to be amazing.

Poor Evil Cole and discount Colossus may they RIP though I'm guessing Blackout might get revived or something because it's weird they locked up his body in there. They really laid it in that they're using the Speed Force in this episode and it's basically been using it in a limited manner and uhh "instinctively" and without real control, I wonder what crazy shit they have in store now that Barry has leveled up.
Already know he's going to eventually phase/vibrate through walls.
The purpose of Clock King being there was for
the Rogues team up
I'm sure.

That hospital scene with Flash showing up was rather unneeded... I think we get it, The Flash gets Iris's molecules excited.

i got a theory.
Prof. Wells is either Barry from the future, Zoom or a Prof. Zoom different from the comics. If our Eddie will be a Zoom character, he will not be until later on.

Also when Prof. Wells was about to get zapped, he KNEW that he wouldnt die, and he knew that since Flash had his powers back, that the future with the Flash that he wanted was back, and that Flash would save him. I think there is more to this than we think, and the Professor pretending to do die like a hero was a ruse, when he knew the Flash would save him.

Barry from the future? what point would protecting the timestream be if you follow it up by screwing it up in a slightly different way? Then again he did cause the Flashpoint.

I wonder if this show will go for two speedster rivals? The first one using the name Reverse Flash and the next using Zoom. Makes sense as we've got a Thawne and a Hunter Zolomon-type dude and they're both sort of weird amalgams of the character.

Also they've name dropped Ralph Dibny and Doctor Light. Those two have to show up at some point. I've said it on the Arrow side but Light would be an awesome villain for either character.

Minor thing, but it's weird that everyone just went along with The Flash name

Unless I missed something, everyone was just calling him The Flash this week.

I wonder if the whole red skies headline in the news paper might be the work of either Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor?

Only Ronnie eventually.

It's most likely (30 year old spoilers)

a crisis on infinite Earths reference, in which Barry died saving the multiverse. My current theory is that Wells is trying to make Barry the hero capable of that sacrifice.

Barry decided on the name last week and told Iris. I guess he told everyone else and they're all going with it?

Hmm, now I'm thinking that Wells isn't the Reverse Flash
or at least not yet. The last scene makes me think he is going to use Blackout's powers to steal copy Barry's. He will then either transfer that power to himself or Eddie making the Reverse Flash.

So how is this 2 parter going to work? week after week or day after day?

I'm curious how it's going to work when they release the show on Netflix and stuff. If part 1 is on the Flash and part 2 is on Arrow, then how does that work for people powering through one series at a time? Are they going to get to the crossover episode, get TO BE CONTINUED... then they miss out on the conclusion?

Man, I'm done with the AV Club's reviews of this show.

I like reading shows reviews, but they're just opinions of single individual. Not any different from posts we get in this thread. The last thing we need is for tv community to embrace the ridiculous reviews obsessions gaming audience has and I feel like I'm already seeing first signs of this developing.

Aren't Zoom's powers based on time control? He might not have the superhealing

Anyway..lol at the preview, looks incredible.

Yeah, they are. So he wouldn't necessarily heal quickly but if he chose to he could heal quickly, relative to the perception of time for everyone else.

I'm not saying the reviewer isn't entitled to their opinion, I'm more lamenting the fact that the reviewer they have assigned to Flash doesn't really match my tastes at all, making the review fairly worthless for me.

And, unfortunately, I can say that about a few of the shows I watch and their AV Club reviews.

I like how they didn't forget that Flash loves being the Flash. That's one of things that separate him from the rest. The dude really loves what he is and his powers, and Grant Gustin is killing it as Barry Allen, Ezra Miller has some big shoes to fill methinks.

I must say I generally feel bigger disconnect from AV reviews this season than before, at least when it comes to comicbook shows. Oh well..

Also..I guess the showrunners have realized how nice chemistry Barry has with Snow, because that sure looked like a prelude to "awkward almost kiss" that Cisco interrupted :D

Great episode.

And I was surprised as hell that they gave Tony a redemption death. Hell, they basically let him be the hero and he took to it, haha. But no seriously that was kinda sad. Even Barry, towards his tormentor, was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO"

Discount Cole was pretty good.

Loved all of Wells' crazy sinister time related moments. How wasted were people playing the drinking game?

So... how'd Iris take down Tockman? Also, it was awesome that Tockman showed up here. He'll be part of the Rogues with Captain Boomerang, right?

And basically Barry had the yips.
