I wonder fi they can deliver Dawn of the Planet of the Apes-quality mocap for Grodd or something close to that![]()
I don't think we will ever see him. I think it was just a rather large easter egg.
I don't think we will ever see him. I think it was just a rather large easter egg.
Showrunners have openly said that he is 100% happening.
They did not know if the show will be successful during extremely quick preproduction this show had, so they have thrown EVERYTHING they ever wanted in S1 season of Flash, and that includes Grood.![]()
They are planting seeds for sure, but there also has to be a contingency plan as well. You can't just throw Zoom and fucking Grodd in during the first season. What the fuck is S2 supposed to be about? How the hell does that get topped?

Their worry was not "how can we top S1". Their problem was "what if the S1 is all we got?" Zoom is gonna be season-wide villain, but Grood, he's gonna get much smaller role in S1. That's for sure.
And they can top S1 easily by pushing the Rogues into forefront, and giving them Caitlin [to become Killer Frost] as a emotional fuel to push Barry over the edge.

Hence my confidence. No point really, they've already confirmed he's coming:
"I wouldnt say teased. I would say were going to deal with it this year. The comparison I make is a little bit to Slade the first year on Arrow in the sense of we started with the mask in the pilot and then we saw which way we were going. He was, ultimately, in the back half of that first season even more than we would ever do with Grodd this first year because Were going to have to get the technology right and all the stuff right to make it look and feel real. But a lot of times, we do this stuff not as a tease as much as a challenge to ourselves of, Can we do it? Grodds definitely one of those, so we hope we pull it off." -Greg Berlanti

Wouldn't Flash just burn off all that excess weight like nothing by simply breathing or some shit?
I hope after inevitable Flashpoint storyline on the show with being one more resetting the timeline, Amell will finally end up being rebooted for this guy

Someone hasn't seen Season 2. It's actually been kicking Arrow's ass this season so far & has kept up with Flash. My theory:.
- RF and Flash are enemies in the future, the timeline played out exactly how it has already in the show.
- Flash travels back in time and saves his mother.
- This creates a timeline with no Flash.
- RF (immune to changes due to Tachyon suit) robbed of his chance to defeat Flash travels back in time to stop Flash saving his mother, succeeds.
- Stuck in the past, RF changes identity to Wells and attempts to restore the timeline as we are seeing it in the show.
- At some point into the future, Wells gives the suit to his younger self though doesn't say who he is, young RF travel back in time for the events of the mid season finale and the threat against Iris, young RF gives Wells the Tachyon thing, closing that loop.
Wells intention is to restore timeline then change it so can defeat Flash himself. Will never work though as this is one big loop that will forever repeat.
RF may be Eddie who grown to hate Barry over Iris leaving him for Barry, or maybe Barry chose not to save her when could have, for reasons. This is the crap I expect from TV nowdays.
Never much been a fan of DC heroes outside of some mainstream efforts, but Flash and Arrow are great comic book TV. Really shows how bad Agents of Shield is.

Yeah, it's actually way better than The Flash too.It really hasn't.
Flash had the best finale, but on a whole this season, I'd give it to SHIELD easily. I also disagree with you about the characters. I think of all three shows, SHIELD has the most nuanced characters now. (I wouldn't of said that last season.)It is a lot of 'flash' but The Flash is quite a level higher. And it looks better than Arrow because Arrow came from a super season and SHIELD from a shitty season. SHIELD is still filled with shitty characters, they just have better company now. It also had the weakest of the three fall finales.
Yeah, it's actually way better than The Flash too.
I love all three shows, but SHIELD is absolutely killing it right now.
You've watched all of season 2 and you feel that way? I'm surprised.I started watching again after GAF swore the show got better in season two. Actors still can't act, effects are still much worse than the far lower budget CE shows, plotting is awful, can't stand anything about it. Hot garbage and I really hope Agent Carter isn't remotely similar.
And I've been down with pretty much everything Whedon has been involved with too. His Marvel stuff just disappoints constantly.

Your points are debatable IMO. I don't think the effects or the acting on either CW show outclass SHIELD in anyway. Not to be disparaging, but these CW shows are still very much CW shows, in both the good and bad ways.
Firestorm's flying was cool, but his flame effects look weird. (Particularly around his face.) Flash generally does have good effects so far, but there has been some duds too. And I think the Absorbing Man stuff from early this season in SHIELD was really great.Nothing on Shield has even come close to Firestorm. That rock effect at the end of the midseason finale was awful. And with a much bigger budget to boot.
It even kills me how Shield drags down decent actors like Gregg and MacLachlan. I really wish they'd nuke it and just work on Agent Carter and the Netflix shows.

It's obvious you don't like SHIELD, and I don't think anything I say will change that, and that's fine, but it seems to me you might be letting past experiences cloud your opinion. I think the improvement has been quite substantial, and I still say it's the strongest of the three currently. And as I said, I really don't have any vested interest in seeing any of these shows fail, I want them all to thrive.
Are you watching S2? If so, I'd find this comments odd after what just happened.Agents of Shield's problem, IMO, is it's too sterile. It has no personality or quirks or weirdness. It's competently made, sometimes very good, but it just feels like Alias set in the MCU rather than Flash or Arrow which both feel distinctive in terms of what they're trying to achieve.
There's also the fact that AoS is connected to a universe it can never effect, because the films don't have any interest in exploring what happens in AoS.

I think they just introduced some pretty major stuff.
Yeah, I get what you mean, but I think that's something that is definitely changing given what just happened in the winter finale. In terms of the show, they do. But I'm not convinced any of the films are going to address Agents of Shield's function, if that makes sense? Like the films change Agents of Shield, Agents of Shield doesn't change the films. That said, yes - they've made some progress in S2 of making it feel like there's consequence.

The addition of nuanced characters annoys the living fuck out of me.Flash had the best finale, but on a whole this season, I'd give it to SHIELD easily. I also disagree with you about the characters. Anyway, not that it really matters. I want all three shows to succeed, and they are currently, so I'm happy.

I actually thought Tripp and Mack were the same person until the last two episodes
And don't even make a black person racism joke. I am part black, and come from a black family, lol.
FWIW I didn't pay much attention to the show until the end of the midseason. Show is dull as fuck up until that point, yes even season 2. That whole brain manipulation arc is a snoozefest. It's going to be amazing now though. Can't wait for the return.
Most shows I enjoy are actually captivating enough to hold my interest. Most shows are not that good when you're distracted on the internet or whatever while watching though.
