I love how this episode just walks in and drops on us with minimal fanfare. The last ten minutes are bonkers shit that you would throw into a season finale and have tons of advertising and hype to build it up.

But for this show, it was a Tuesday.

The makers of Flash must really like Spartacus show. First it was Crixus then Mira and now Spartacus himself!

Also Naevia from Spartacus is playing as Amanda Waller in Arrow!

That was quite the episode.

Not surprised they retconned it with time travel, though. That's some game changer level shit to happen for real.

I have no idea what they're going to do for their actual finale.

After how bonkers this season has been so far, I pray they stick the landing. Everything has been moving so fast and they are pulling in all the crazy shit, I pray they can bring it all together and give us a satisfying finale.

I have no idea what they're going to do for their actual finale.

Barry vs. Zoom in the past to try and save Barry's mom.

I think Flashpoint is going to wreck all the things; and I trust the showrunners to nail the landing.

This is awesome.

HOW IS THIS ONE EPISODE?!?!

there are whole seaons in other shows that has that much content

While Arrow has continued to push me away, The Flash keeps pulling me in.

Its so weird. The first episode of Flash made me watch Arrow, because of how bad it looked. Now I can't take an Arrow episode seriously.

I told my friend a couple of days ago to forget about Arrow, watch Flash istead.

I still love Agents of Shield

Flashpoint is the only way to top this episode. I will settle for nothing less

And they better keep Cavanagh around as Reverse Flash for at least another season. He's too good to be in the show for only one season

But don't run him into the ground. Have him go away for a bit, then have him return in a later season just to mess with us. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

The other thing I think.

I think they feel confident enough to go full Justice League in the Arrow-verse; and I think John Diggle will end up being John Stewart, Green Lantern.

This show :O This f-ing show is so great.

I am fine with them going full JLA on CW. But, I don't want them using certain villains all the time just because they are popular. It is a problem that has happened in comics before. A villain is super popular, so they keep bringing them back frequently, and then we get bored with them. It actually makes them feel less special when they show up almost all the time. Gotta save those big, badass, favorite villains for the huge stories.

Just imagine if Joker were a villain in every Batman film. As awesome as he is, it would get boring and make him feel less special. Besides, it is always cooler when the big bad comes back in a big way after being gone for a long time.

I've gotta hand it to Liam McIntyre, he did a really good job with Weather Wizard. He managed to ground his hammy dialogue. Good deep intimidating accent from an Aussie. And those special effects. Just wow. That tsunami looked so scary. I'd love to see a fight between him and Flash without the wand.

I wonder if we'll get a glimpse of the 25th century?

They can put RF on the back burner in season 2 and bring Grodd and The Rogues to the forefront. Plus the government tracking metahumans is still a factor; Argus, Waller, and the Suicide Squad could come into play.

Any other major Flash villians that could carry a season as the main antagonist?

Zoom. Malcolm Thawne or Daniel West maybe. Mirror Master can do some ridiculous stuff with his mirror worlds but I'm not sure if the character himself is big bad material. After Grodd they'll probably have to borrow from other characters.

Holy shiiiiiiiiiiit

I feel like all that fucking crazy shit at the end is gonna be undone though (great for cisco but a damn shame for iris/barry....fuck). Barry can easily change that now that he SPEEDFORCED to the past.

Spartacus the 2nd rocked as Weather Wizard btw. It would be a god damn waste to rid the series of him after next episode. He needs to be as recurring as captain cold imo. Honestly I think he's better than wentworth miller's cold.

Holy fuck holy fuck, that episode ! Ooooohhhhh Mmmmyyyyyyy Gooooooooooooddddd So many Twists in the last 10 minutes, this is probably my favourite Show on TV Right now, or at least in terms of Superhero Related, just so god dam good.

Of course all the craziness at the end is going to be undone. That's why they went crazy like that: they knew this was the episode that Barry was going to unlock time travel. That's the big takeaway here.

Though, the events at the end being erased doesn't mean it was all a waste. We know Iris has feelings for Barry and vice versa, so the clock's ticking on Eddie and Linda. We have Wells's true identity and at least part of his motivations. We know reporter dude is close to blowing the case on Wells wide open. And remember, Barry knows everything that happened. We'll have to wait till next week to see what all has changed (time travel in the DCU isn't so clean and fucking with the time stream can change events entirely), but all of that is there.

In the comics,
the Thawne in the present day was Barry's twin brother separated at birth who became a supervillain. This Thawne would go on to have a constant rivalry with The Flash. The descendants of both the Thawnes and the Flashes would go on to continue that rivalry for a thousand years.

I JUST FINISHED WATCHING TONIGHTS EPISODE

OH
MY
GOD

I HATE THIS SHOW
FOR KILLING CISCO
BUT LOVE IT FOR EVERYTHING ELSE

EDIT: I WATCHING IT AGAIN BECUASE IT WAS SO INCREDIBLE

That was my thought for it! Which all the stuff they showed us. You would have thought this was a mid season finale, not an opener. But damn I'm glad I don't have to wait a month to see what happen next.

Flash's new OT title should be "HOLY SHIT!" I mean yeah it'll be changed in the next episode and it really made me wish I didn't watch that sizzle reel and maybe the trailer for the hiatus because if I didn't I would've
believed Cisco really was a goner for at least few minutes.
And yeah, I didn't even notice Barry said "oh boy" at the end I didn't even hate the love square crap. As for Iris
we already know she's going to find out again, maybe even in the next episode
.

I knew younger Barry was the intended target, made sense.

We got the motivation behind him helping Barry, but not the murder.

I was going to write something but I think this is still a good source for the show version's motivations. http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Eobard_Thawne_(New_Earth)

He wanted to kill Barry but future uhh current? Barry decides to save his younger self so now Eobard kills Nora instead because he wanted to hurt him another way and his powers go on the fritz likely because (well, maybe) he changed the time line and because of what he did this Barry wasn't destined to get his powers maybe? So now he had to do it himself to create the Flash. Or he did it ti ensure it still happened. I don't know it's too damn late.

This scene was so cool. I gasped out loud when he hand vibrated Cisco to death. I love Cisco and his long flowing dark hair. He was the glue that kept Team Flash together.

Damn good episode. Weather Wizard was eh, but that's ok, his tsunami made up for that. And poor Captain :(

Wells is so damn evil. I love it, but hate it!

Heh heh heh.

You forgot Ashur. But yes, they do along with Prison Break it seems.

My favorite part is the avatars of you two.

Also Katrina Law is on Arrow. These guys must have just seen Spartacus and thought "We need to cast all of these people".

- Holy fuck, that final scene between Wells/Thawne and Cisco was powerful as fuck. Both actors brought their A-game. You really feel for Cisco as he fucking realizes that he is dead. There's no way out.

- Eddie and Linda getting shortchanged in this episode sucked, especially since their characters are so damn likeable, yet Barry/Iris feel like they don't have much chemistry.

- Liam McIntyre was great as Weather Wizard! He brings a great sense of blue-collar menace to the role. Nothing elaborate or flashy, but a very chilling, menacing, direct villain.

- Holy fuck at all the insanity. Captain Singh paralyzed, Barry/Iris confessions, Wells' reveal to Caitlin and Cisco, Joe's broken leg, tsunami, and then Barry FUCKING TIME TRAVELED HOLY SHIT.

- And not only did he time travel, it looks like next episode is gonna show how the timeline will fuck with Barry. Consequences, Mr. Allen. Consequences.

- The SFX were fantastic. I love that the CW is able to nail this. Supergirl on CBS better step the fuck up.

Nah, it should be "Oh Boy"

I don't mind that.

I don't mind that.
The sad part is that all that shit is gonna get undone, but time will find a way to replace it.
