they'll probably find records of the DNA/fingerprints of Wells and then see his current ones and then the lights go dark in the room. Lips slowly go towards Barry's ear and whisper "it was me all along. Barry"

Interesting hypothesis, although I have to disagree. Ronnie and Stein could be separated because they were literally fused together on an atomic level. As far as we know, all Eobard is doing is imitating his likeness and probably using Gideon to scrounge up any research papers from the future he can use to make the big breakthroughs that Wells did and then just play them off as his own.

See, that's the thing.

Just because you have all the info on how to make something doesn't mean you'd be capable of doing so.

Thawne being from the future, he probably has a higher intelligence level than we do. But Wells was an actual scientist, the most brilliant if anything. Could Thawne have simply followed directions to building a particle accelerator 5 years earlier than it was supposed to? Why would something as dangerous as a particle accelerator be published either publicly or within the scientific community? Is Einsteins atom bomb formula just lying around somewhere in a lab where a mad scientist can steal it?

I'm just not buying that Thawne could've done it on his own with a wiki page from the future. If this show follows the comics, Thawne was no more than a crazed
fan of Barry.

Then again..

Maybe in this universe, Thawne made the particle accelerator in his time to replicate Barry's powers, or had help (can I talk in past tense about the 25th century?) , who knows. That probably explains why he would actually know how to make the particle accelerator, but doesn't really explain why he killed Wells and took his identity. It's pretty dumb, his wife just died but he's like "fuck it, I'm going to make a particle accelerator" in 15 years instead of 20.

If Thawne knew how to make the PA, why not just make it somewhere else or just make Wells do it. That's why I don't believe he only stole his identity, but he stole the actual soul, thoughts, memories, feelings. The shows writer stated Thawne
still loves his/Wells wife. It's one of Wells traits that "bled" through. Which makes me question, what else bled through? Is Wells in there?

Sorry for my ramble and hope it makes sense lol

500 years of additional knowledge and computing power (since Gideon is a computer from Thawne's time) is no joke. I don't think it would be asking too much to expect the average person of today, equipped with an iPhone, to be able to figure out 500-year old tech.

And since he builds the accelerator only five years ahead of schedule, there's a very good chance the necessary technology was already available and/or in development and just not yet figured out by anyone. He also had 15 years to get it built and running.

You're assuming Thawne isn't also a scientist

So at some point BlondeThawne is going to come back into the present to fight our Barry, right?

The hardest part about building an atom bomb is acquiring the radioactive material, it's not impossible to do the other part on your own or with someone, IIRC people have done it before.

Eobard has a genius level intellect and the ability to "absorb" the intelligence of others which I would guess would play into what he did to the real Wells though obviously in a different manner. So yeah, he's genius with 500 years worth of knowledge advancement to on top of having a computer/AI available to him from his time.

Can I avatar quote myself for how awesome this is?

so rewatching all of the flash episodes, I am enjoying spotting the little things and one off lines that are actually hints but not clearly hints until after you know later details.

I will say though, it's hard for me not to see this character while watching the show though....

In so many random scenes I am still expecting wells to show up and randomly go "Hey little brother"

@_@

I still wish Wells would've been at the bowling ally.

I have grown attached to Wells and Joe and Cisco and Caitlin and Eddie. I don't want to see any of them go, but I know that's unlikely. Especially Wells since its not really Wells.

Oh, also, I haven't ever really posted on this thread, but I have been watching the show and keeping up with it completely and I love it so much.

grodd does look terrible but if you think about it as the collider exploding not only giving him his abilities but also making him look weird, its not so bad. hes just a disfigured gorilla!

The only one I am really worried about is Joe. He has felt like a character that has been there to dramatically die at the end of this season, plus if they do time travel stuff to make wells just wells he can take over the father figure role for barry.

Cisco isn't going anywhere, he is most likely just going to make some toys some day and join barry in saving people.

Caitlin will likely go somewhere, but that will just involve her leaving star labs, she will still likely be a main character.

Eddie will likely eventually have a major change with him and may leave the show, but that seems like an end of season 2 like thing. gotta have the will they won't they crap go on with barry and iris for at least another season. it will all really depend on how he takes his break up with iris. If joe does die it would still be quite helpful for barry to have a man on the force that knows what is going on so eddie could take that role to replace joe's role for that.

note: everything said here are my own thoughts for how things are going to go down, and are in no way confirmed things that will happen.

Barry, Iris, Cisco and Caitlin are all safe from dying.

Eobard-Wells and Joe are the most likely candidates to die. Eobard and/or Wells both can show up in later seasons thanks to time travel of course.

Eddie seems like he has a lot more story to tell. He's probably sticking around for season two to become Zoom or something.

But I don't think anybody is making it through the season unscathed. Cisco and Caitlin both have powers coming. Barry will be time traveling and is certain to lose someone. Eddie finding about Eobard and probably Iris leaving him will shock him.

I would love to see RF become a Hannibel Lecter type character, like SoTL. He is too awesome to get killed in this season.

I've started Arrow because of how good Flash is. Serious. This is the DC universe I need.

I really wish they did the whole MCU thing with this instead of using Man of Steel as a base.

Capt Cold and Atom

I've been avoiding previews/trailers for upcoming episodes

This is for the spin-off show, not for Flash/Arrow.

All those people on the roof have been confirmed for that show for a long time now. I hate spoilers with my life but this doesn't really spoil anything besides what we already know about the spin-off show.

Ah, apologies to Sou Da. My attention immediately went to the image :P

We gonna talk about the spinoff pilot set photo?

I didn't realize they were shooting the pilot so soon. And with a main cast member still not cast? The potential episode order is still in the air so we'll probably find out the concrete details at upfronts in May.

Very minor Firestorm spoiler from Robbie Amell:

“The two episodes I’m going back for are the second-last and the finale of the first season. So there are definitely going to be some big things happening over there.”

I heard black canary is on the spinoff show? So... Is
Sarah alive or dead? Is laurel moving to this show?
or did I hear wrong g?

I haven't accepted this and would be very disappointed if it happens. Joe is a great character and it would just be too damn cliche for him to get killed off.

The wise old mentor always dies, it's necessary for character growth. Add to that he's a grizzled veteran, substitute father figure, and a black man (grrhhhhh!!) , Joe is probably not long for this world. :(

I'm guessing the spin-off takes place after Flash season 1? Barrys symbol isn't white, so i guess its safe to assume the time travel fight hasn't happened yet.
