Still waiting for the explanation.

Sorry. It's a picture of a person wearing bling and shitty clothes because he is black and putting all black people into a certain stereotype. I have plenty of black friends who don't wear bling and don't wear shitty clothes, but I also have non-black friends who wear plenty of bling. Pigeon-holing black people in this way is racist for sure.

Yeah, but 1. It was just clipped from another source, and 2. Ham loves his bling, have you seen his fucking ears?

The comic displays black people conforming to the usual stereotype of wearing baggy clothes, wearing 'bling' and being 'gangsta'. Lewis is black & has had racial issues with fans before.

The usual forever alone would have been fine, but posting a black forever alone has other connotations in this instance.
Usual forever alone would have been fine, but a black on isn't? Have you really thought about what you are saying with that?

The comic as a whole does display stereotypes. So? SO does almost every comic ever written. Nerds, white people, black -people, urban people, racist people, country people, all are the bit of a joke at some time. It is not saying anything about black people as a whole. What brotkasten posted was aimed squarely at Hamilton, and the foreveralone it was clipped from was aimed at people who DO fill the gangsta stereotype.

And how the fuck do you guys get 'bling' and 'gangsta'out of one shitily drawn necklace that was in the original pic?
brotkasten said:
This will be Hamilton saddest win.

The critics won't acknowledge this win, because of Vettel's DNF and he has nobody he can share it with.

Where the hell is the 'gangsta' in that pic? Just looks like a dark skinned dude crying to me.

Edit: Actually, it looks like a walnut wearing a cap, but it's late here, so I'm off to bed.

God they've got to do something about that track. I actually started to fall asleep a third of the way through and decided to stop watching not long afterwards.

Utterly, utterly dull race. That said, hopefully Hamilton will stop walking around with a face like a slapped arse now.

What is the point in those penalties? They do nothing. They should get places docked from the next race.

Maldonado is a liability. That guy really needs to sort himself out and get some respect for his fellow racers.
You need to get the money for Kimi from somewhere.

Just watched Ted Kravitz post race bit and he mentioned that MGP will be testing 2012 exhausts at the young driver test next week. Should give a good idea of what the cars will look like next year and how the exhausts affect performance.

At this point, if someone argued that Torro Rosso is actively sabotaging Buemi I might listen. Maybe they hid a couple million under the mattress for the loss of points position...

I mean, c'mon.

Holy shit, completely forgot this was on last night! Webber was fourth, Lewis won, Nando second.

What else happened? Worth downloading?

Edit: One of them held up Webber? Cunts. Useless penalty too by the sounds of things.

Vettel got a puncture on the 5th corner & had to retire from the race. Apart from that the race wasnt anything special - not bad for an Abu Dhabi GP, but overall not that great.

I'm sure you would've enjoyed the battle for the best number two driver between Webber and Massa.

i think it was similar last season.
Aleguasari was shit the first half and the very good at the second half of the season.
Buemi was solid the first half and the steadily declined

Vettel going out on lap 1 was one hell of a shocker. I love that some people have been begging for it to happen for months now and the one time it does the race is pretty boring and Hammy just stays out in front the entire time like Vettel would've.

Great to see Hammy back on form.

Webber shouldn't be battling with someone like Massa. It's a bit shit though that even with Vettel out completely, Our Webs still doesn't make it on the podium. I'm guessing it was due to him getting shafted by Maldonado and/or Alguersuavi as well as the risky pit strategy.

I don't know what more assistance Vettel can give Webs than actually taking himself out of the race :(

Massa Schadenfreude levels are reaching dangerous new heights. They can't run him in 12, right? I mean, they just can't. If they can pay Kimi millions to stay out of the car even though he actually knew what to do with it, surely they can give Massa a bit of money to put in someone who's not dead weight. I hear Barrichello may be open next year.

This is the new Ferrari we are talking about. Any level of financial stupidity is possible. I foresee a pay raise for Massa and Alonso being benched halfway through the season....

If Perez had pushed on from his excellent start this season I think he'd be a major factor in forcing Ferrari to make their minds up about dropping Massa. Since Rosberg signed for Mercedes and Button to Mclaren he's seemingly the only one who could take Massa's seat. I don't think he's done enough yet to warrant it unfortunately.

Up front wasn't that interesting after Red Bull fucked Webber over, but those first few laps were pretty crazy. Nice to see Sauber finally have a good race again. Renault is still horrible. Buemi was almost in tears from retiring, I guess he's close to being out of the team?

Noticed Paul's PR woman as well, hot damn.

Oh and seeing the slow motion replay of Horner's face from Seb going off was soooooooo good.

Williams is still pathetically slow but my friend was telling me that because Renault are backing out as a team and are just supplying engines that they might partner with Williams to make that team good again. I really hope that's true and if (when) Kimi is there he will have a competitive car. Of course I don't really see it happening but I sure would love to.

Just saw the race, pretty annoyed that Vettel had to retire, watching him fight back into the points would've made the race much more exciting. I got a good lol from Massa spinning with no one else's help though.

Come on now, the race wasn't that bad. There was a ton of passing (even though most of it was due to DRS), differing strategies, cars charging from the back and no Sebastian driving off into the sunset leading by 20 seconds after three laps :p

The GP2 feature race was better though, as it often is on shitty tracks.

More Kimi to Williams gossip

Heikki Kulta reported this:

' I heard from the inside circle that the mechanics in Williams already have a tough competition over who gets in the team operating around Kimi's car. The spirit is that it will definitely be fun in Kimi's team.'

So they did fuck him over or was it his decision to use the softs later in the race?

I propose that the Force India PR woman is on camera for every PdR interview from now on to stop me from falling asleep every time he speaks.

The change in strategy was insult to injury.
Ugh, shit. Really have to believe in things like luck when he's had such a shithouse run.

Mark's done alright at Interlagos the last few years though... fingers crossed that he'll get at least *one* victory this year. Do we know what has to happen for him to finish second in the WDC?

He's 22 points behind Button and 12 behind Alonso. He would lose to Button on a tie but I'm not sure how he'd weigh against Alonso. He would need to win, Button score no points and Alonso finish pretty low. I think third is probably the best he could hope for, realistically.

More and more on Kimi

His managers were in Abu Dhabi

http://www.yallaf1.com/2011/11/14/raikkonen-managers-in-abu-dhabi-paddock/

Nov.14 (GMM) It appears Kimi Raikkonen has taken yet another step towards signing with the Williams team for the 2012 F1 season.

At the end of an intense weekend of speculation regarding the 2007 world champion’s possible return to formula one, Raikkonen’s managers duly appeared in the Abu Dhabi paddock.

The appearance of managers Steve and David Robertson was all the more notable given Raikkonen’s participation thousands of miles away in the Welsh rally.

And Turun Sanomat newspaper reports that they watched the grand prix from within Williams’ hospitality area.

The signs are growing stronger every day that 32-year-old Raikkonen is definitely motivated to return to the sport that gave him 18 wins between 2001 and 2009.

Sir Frank Williams finally confirmed to the Finnish broadcaster MTV3 on Sunday that his Oxfordshire based team “has strong interest” in housing Raikkonen next year.

“Obviously, anyone worth his salt in any business will argue about the price of things,” he grinned, “so there is an argument going on, which of course is quite normal.

“I must choose my words carefully by saying only that it (Raikkonen coming to Williams) is possible.”

And team co-founder Patrick Head confirmed in Abu Dhabi that Williams’ interest in the former McLaren and Ferrari driver is not new.

“We were interested in Kimi when he drove for Sauber,” the Briton is quoted as saying. “We proposed to our then partner BMW to make him an offer but they thought it was too much money.”

Lots of rumours beginning now on teams driver choices for 2012. All the big 4 teams are settled with their drivers so that leaves the midfield teams.

Renault: Petrov and Grosjean for 2012 with Kubica as Friday driver. If he shows he can make it, Grosjean to make way during season.

Force India: Di Resta and Hulkenberg seems to be the choice.

Sauber: Same as 2011.

Lotus: Rumours are that Trulli is gone with Sutil filling his place.

Williams: Kimi and Rubens. Rumoured that Maldonado given the boot as they will have that Qatar money instead and Renault investment.

Virgin: Glock staying new driver coming in.

Toro Rosso: Seems like Buemi is being given the boot (hence his upset after retirement yesterday) with Riccardio likely to come in.

HRT: Undecided.

A ton of passing at the back of the field... a whole lot of no passing in the top 8 after the first lap pretty much.

At least in the races Vettel has dominated this year we've always had some battles going on for the top 6. This race had nothing of the sort (unless you count a couple of half arsed attempts by Webber when Button's KERS wasn't working).

As for the DRS, I don't find someone overtaking in DRS1 then being overtaken back in DRS2 to be particularly exciting. Your mileage may vary.

I'd love this.

Barrichello is a talented driver and I definitely think he deserves another year.
