And wtf at the McLaren overalls.

celebrating hugo boss' 30 year partnership with mclaren.

there's a competition where people can design the race suit for the final grand prix of the season.

pretty cool idea, i might give it a shot myself if it's not too late to enter.

Webber ruined my fantasy league weekend, could have gotten more than 2x points out of quali if i stayed with my old setup :(((((

Man I cannot WAIT until later on tonight(my time, Los Angeles PST)!!!! The qualifying events are cool and all, but the actual RACE, man oh man, this is going to be BANANAS!!! And Shanghai isn't one of my favorite tracks. Imagine when they get to Valencia, Spa, Interlagos and Monza!!!!!!!!

By the way, how many laps will they be running at the race tomorrow? 20? 30? 50?

Red Bull is sabotaging Webber early on so they can focus on Vettel.

Hamilton seems out of balance. An irritation of - I should be winning everything, but the conditions are working against me.

Fuck so glad I chose Merc/Toro for f1racemamaner. Was going to go Ren/Toro
I almost went from STR/STR to Sau/Sau, which would have been pretty stupid. I ended up with Ren/STR though.

Renault will prevail tomorrow!

Man, what a crazy qualifying session. Poor Webber, really hope he still has it in him and mounts a comeback this season. Hasn't been a good start so far.

This is getting boring. I could have gotten up early for the qualifying but you can guess the result beforehand now.
If this keeps up, the TV audience is going to soon switch off.

Total domination = boring.
Last season was very exciting for its unpredictability.

I wouldn't be surprised if none of them are in the top 10 at the end of the race.
i would be suprised if all of them weren't in the top 10 at the end of the race.
Heidfeld and Schuhmacher are great starters and Webbers race pace should be quick too

This is where the real race will be tomorrow. I'm hoping the camera stays on this battle rather than the borefest of the top 3.

Would be fun to see what Webber can do from his position. Hope Vettel doesn't win tomorrow, it's really becoming boring from a championship point of view. He could win the season well before its over if this carries on.

A la Schumacher in 2002.

Would be a shame if the season ended up like that, but F1's full of surprises, all we need is a Vettel DNF and the championship looks wide open again.

This season desperately needs Ferrari to come alive and Mercedes giving Rosberg and Schumacher a car that could win races would mix things up very nicely.

I hope Ferrari's update at Turkey sorts out the lack of grip at the front of the car because as much as you may love or hate Alonso he can drag a car to the front of the grid.

Could someone please tell Mark Webber that the season's started already? He seems to have missed the first three races.

I guess his 22 points from the first two races he "missed" were just ...magic?

His performance last week was actually really impressive given the car's faults. Car seems pretty janky.

for the next three qualifying sessions

The McLaren overall changes are awesome. Hopefully McLaren can really challenge RBR during the race, no body wants to see another 2004.

Vettel needs to be overtaken at the start, or it's going to be another win. He reminds me of Pedrosa in MotoGP, fast when racing alone against himself at the front in clean air. Boring as hell, but efficient.

Oh well, I will still watch the race for the action at the back. :)

It's disappointing that this is what it's come to :(

Why did Vettel keep sitting in his car after quali?

It looked like he was waiting for his mechanics, after which he started his car again and got out?
he has to be given the OK to leave the car from some FIA dudes which he didn't catch and thus he sat waiting for nothing :p

Vettel is immense, an amazing lap. Really makes Webber look bad, not having KERs doesn't help but he isn't anywhere near Vettel's times.

Di Resta did a cracking job as well considering how little time he had on track.

Webber ruined my fantasy league weekend, could have gotten more than 2x points out of quali if i stayed with my old setup :(((((

Bloody hell, you are on a RBR chassis already? I've been hoping to make the switch for the next race but Webber's form isn't encouraging me.

yeah it was switching this or next race for me, i did the math and switching now seemed to yield a few more points than keeping STR,
but that didn't take STRs above average performance here and Webber's abysmal performance into account.
so that was a bad move in retrospectiveness :(

tires can mix up things in the race for STR thou, they had pretty damn high degradation in Malaysia

The start will be insane.

13 Kobiyashi
14 Schumacher
16 Heidfeld
18 Webber

I expect them all in the top 10 by the end of the first lap.

It's going to be Kobi vs Schumi every race isn't it.

And someone should sneak in a neogaf racing suit for that hugo boss thing, it already has the mclaren orange in the logo.

End of Q2 was amazing. I say that every Q2 they all race for position in the pitlane with 2 minutes left, race it on their outlap for track position and if anyone doesn't make it over the line in time then tough luck. So exciting to watch! Q3 seemed boring in comparison.

Webber going out so early was really surprising. I hope he finds his pace soon.

This season is already seeming closer than ever. Red Bull, McLaren and Ferarri still have the pace but Renault, Force India, Sauber, Mercedes and Toro Rosso are looking quick as hell. That's, what, 16 out of 24 drivers who have competitive pace. It's going to be a really fucking good season if that stays the same.

There sure are a lot of "omg so boring" types. Remember just 2 years ago button won 7 of the first 8 races, or was it 8 of the first 9? Either way, the season still ended up being pretty close.

Just one bad start from Vettel, or non perfect qualifying lap and it's all up in the air.

Even if Vettel is dominant, just focus on the rest of the field. Enough going on. This isn't like a few years ago with a local Italian director only focusing on Schumacher driving around half a lap in front of the rest.

I'm so glad we have some good camera directing now.

People called last year boring too though. I just ignore those claims now. Last season was ridiculously good and this year is looking like it could be even more eventful, if not as close in terms of people contending for the championship.
