Monaco races are often boring but it's still fascinating to see F1 cars run around this track. Priority for getting canned should go to Bahrain, Valencia and Barcelona.

Monza, Silverstone, Spa & Monaco are 4 of the original F1 tracks, they must always remain.

Only Monaco would qualify as original among those four; the others have changed considerably over the years.

I think the pit stop strategy thing will make this year's monaco much more interesting than it has been for a while, but there sure won't be a lot of overtaking.

Just because Monaco is old and tradition, it doesn't mean its good. I mean, they canned Spa for quite awhile and that's much worse than Monaco being canned.

Good to know that I'm not the only insane person in this theard. :lol

I don't care if there isn't one overtake during a race at Monaco. It is still worth it for the glamour, on board footage, and the camera with the cars juking through the swimming pool complex. Those cars have no business being on that track with the safety requirements now and that is why it is so good.

Stolen from Autosport, but lol!

Monaco is the untouchable race of the F1 season, there is now way Bernie would even consider dropping it.

My personal favourites are Spa(as a Raikonnen fan I am naturally a fan of it), Monza, Montreal, Interlagos and Hockenheim(not the castrated modern day version).

I want a French Grand-Prix at Le Mans.

Holy shit that would be boring, imagine the commentary:

MB: And Lewis has passed Vettel for the lead!
DC: No wait Martin!! Vettel has got the DRS and is coming back already!
MB: But don't worry! There's still 18 seconds of straights left to go, Hamilton is taking Vettel again!
MB: Alonso has joined in the fun now! We've got a corner coming up, but don't worry, plenty more straights after that.
DC: Petrov's gone flying off a bump!

They could use the MotoGP circuit but I don't think it's that great. I'd like to see the Austrian GP make a return just because of the scenery. It seemed impossible to take a photo there that wasn't gorgeous.

Nail on the head.

Robert Kubica has been released from the Italian hospital where he has been recovering since his horror rally accident 10 weeks ago.

Wish him well on his long road to recovery.

All that Monaco talk reminded me of Kubica's Monaco qualifying lap last year where he qualified second.

That lap was just amazing, it's on youtube in full.

Great news, I really hope he makes the comeback that we all want and is fighting for the championship for years to come.

Abu Dhabi's circuit will face some modifications in the turns 5, 6, 7, 9, 13 and 14.

EDIT: and it seems that today is Massa's birthday. 30 Years. I wish him the best. I have big respect for that guy. :)

I just downloaded the entire 1996 season. Damn F1 was good back then. I just finished Melbourne (which was the first Australian GP held there). Villeneuve destroying everybody else on is first race in F1 until mechnical problems near the end, Michael first race at Ferrari, Brundle massive crash in a Jordan. And recognizing all the great faces. Alesi, Berger, Hill. It was nice to have older drivers than today. They looked like men back then, not kids.

Is that the one where he rolls the car off a straight, huge crash, then when he's interviewed he says something like he had a bit of a bingle?

Geez ... You hate pretty much everything that has something to do with Ferrari, don't you?
Yep. Massa's pretty cool, but I hate the F1 team with an unhealthy passion (if their factory burned to the ground I might just throw a party). Plus, they seemingly forgot how to make attractive, well-proportioned road cars after the F355 Berlinetta.
