First timed lap of the V6 Turbos era - Hamilton Mercedes 1m33.305s +93.305
Is Caterham present at Jerez?
Yes, but they had some last minute problems putting the car together.
A new best - Hamilton comes round in a 1m29.662s

Hamilton hit 270km/h down the main straight.
What would they have hit last year?
Hi guys. At the circuit at the moment. Nothing going on at this second.
The Renault engine sounds the best so far. Saw Hamilton start up and then cut the power and the turbo sounded like a vacuum cleaner...
That would be this moment I guess:Saw Hamilton start up and then cut the power and the turbo sounded like a vacuum cleaner...

Hamilton's front wing is on the straight suggesting it may have failed and caused the crash
Front with failure so shove itWell done Lewis, that guy doesn't change! Who knows, maybe it was brake failure
where is Sky coverage and good HD footage of all this?
There isn't any. Apparently Sky forgot that they're supposed to be passionate about the sport.
Disgraceful that people are being made to pay to see F1 and Sky just can't be bothered.
McLaren, wtf aer you dooooiing?
it's not Sky, they want to show it but they're not allowed.
Probably for the best. You'd mostly just be watching an empty, albeit sunny, track all day.

McLaren won't be out on track today according to Kravitz. They have such big problem, they can't even start a car.

Force India had electronic glitch.
Maybe it would raise the testing costs to allow for filming at the track, must be a logical reason why there are journalists but no TVs...it's not Sky, they want to show it but they're not allowed.

Vettel said, that the reason why he has not run yet is, that they mounted one part of the car the wrong way. Not sure what he meant, but apparently it will take some time to fix that
MERCEDES AMG F1
We can confirm a front wing failure on car 44. The reason is now being investigated. Lewis is fine, thank you all for asking!
Pretty funny.
