Messy GP3 start. F1 start should be fun.
I wonder how much 25% of McLaren's shares would be worth.
Probably best for him to stay retired then, he's earned itYeah, years of working in stressful environment left some legacy on him - blood pressure and heart problems.
Here's a shitty video of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WQZEtE1IDw
Jimmy Eriksson got a 10 second stop/go penalty for causing it.
Bernie has written to all teams demanding total silence during Russian national anthem and when Putin makes his appearance.
Fun. Maybe there's a twist where Bernie has a secret extra car sitting in the paddock for Putin to jump into on the grid. I would legitimately not put it past him. That or find a way to get everyone DQ'd so Kvyat gets the win. "All Mercedes engines are excluded because reasons!"Bernie has written to all teams demanding total silence during Russian national anthem and when Putin makes his appearance.
It's like a grid full of Maldonados, jesus.
About £125m
Going to be drama at Turn 2 later today on lap 1.
In all the support races the cars have locked up or run very wide.
Its a very long run down to the corner on cold tyres and brakes.
Wouldn't be surprised that there'll be some tacky circuit overlay thanking PRESIDENT PUTIN!
I'm assuming that's based on the book value of the company. So I would say 25% would be around 4 or 5 times of that amount.
I hate to say it, but aside from the start I'm really not looking forward to this race.
I doubt it'd be quite that much, but you're also underestimating how much money Alonso has.
Maybe he's pulling a coup with Honda :lol
You know McLaren is not a publicly held company so even if he has all the money in the world he can't just go and buy it.
Even if it was up for sale I don't think he can really afford to buy 25% .. I'll try to dig for some numbers.
Makes it harder, but all he has to do is persuade existing shareholders to sell their stake to him. Wouldn't be the first time that sort of thing has happened. You know McLaren is not a publicly held company so even if he has all the money in the world he can't just go and buy it.

Ha! I thought I was the only one! It was really best in qualy when you could open the DRS anywhere. Couldn't stand sector 1 but the 4 long full throttle-but-not-at-all-straights were a hoot. I remember the US commentators called that wobbly sector 3 line with the blind braking point and turn-in the "death star run". I'm shocked there was never a major incident in that stretch. It would have been pinball.I'm going in expecting it to be Valencia V2. I actually liked Valencia, yeah it was boring as all sin but it was so much fun to drive in the games ;_;
What an incredible finish to the GP3 race: http://wtf1.co.uk/gp3-sochi-race-two/

I have a one third share of a private company and I would probably sell that share if I someone came and offered me a few million quid for my troubles.

mmmm grid girls
Coming to the front of the track for the anthem is idiotic

Is Kimi taking a shit?
Haha, holy shit.
wtf
putin making everyone line up and listen to the russian anthem.
It does. Russian government doesnt deserve to host any prestigious international sporting event at this moment in time. But whatever. This just feels really inappropriate.
