It's been said that if it's true, Audi is looking into Red Bull or Toro Rosso, not Sauber. Volkswagen seems to have close relations with them. I'd bet on Toro Rosso.
I would post my Octavia, but I hear off topic chatter isn't appreciated hereSkoda brofist.

Doubt it would be Red Bull when they could have Torro Rosso.
Never quite sat with me that one team actually has 2 teams, and 4 cars ont he grid. Surely there is information going both ways there for development?
Audi could use the Lamborghini name if they went into F1.
Believe.
Lamborghini = Bull - Red Bull
Alonso to Lamborghini Red Bull Racing. Believe.
Bleh, its a community thread, community threads are about the community more than the topic lol. Stroll into the football thread at any given moment and unless its between 12 & 8 on a saturday/sunday, they could literally be talking about anything else in the world .
VRS I'm assuming? I went 1.8 TSI L&K. So comfy and great fun to drive.
We're headed to three cars per team anyways, right. So why can't RBR use their third car for a junior instead of Torro Rosso? This sounds real worrying....
Only porsche and toyota in lmp cant be healthy
Wat happens to red bulls junior shit if torto rosso is bought?
Wat happens if rbr is bought? Is the main red bull owner tired of f1 or something why would he sell the main team?

How was China '07 his fault? And how was forgetting to reset your brake bias(like he did in Sochi) ballsing up under pressure? Out of his 8 year career, those were the best 2 examples you could come up with?
@Marussia_F1Team will not be going to Austin and nor will @CaterhamF1. Bernie just told me. #F1 #USGP
So, three car teams. Alonso, Hamilton and Rosberg in what will still be the strongest car on the grid next season?
Only seeing 18 drivers is weird, esp. with that #17 cut-off in Q1. Shame T-Cars are no longer around, since that would have made it simpler to allow teams to have a third car around to fill the field back up, of course third car wouldn't count to Constructors championship points, but it would be a nice way to get some extra pay from third drivers for the smaller teams, or a way to let promising prospects for next year get a go.
Jaguar under Ford and Jaguar under Tata are two completely different companies. Most of the management from the Ford days have moved on or been moved on by Tata. As I said I think the best chance of their entry would be from Mallya throwing in the towel and Tata picking up the pieces of Force India, but even now I think Tata may be interested.I highly doubt Jaguar would ever make a return to F1.
Real shame about Marussia, I thought they were in a decent place financially.

All the cost cutting measures over the years and we're still in this situation.
How much of a cut of the TV revenue does Bernie get again? Would wager a chunk of that could easily help the smaller teams.Let's face it, cost-cutting and F1 is a paradox to begin with. The investment cost to enter into the sport alone is so high that for those who can seriously compete, money is the least of their concerns, while for those who actually have financial concerns, no amount of cost-cutting will even really make it comfortable for them.
there's no point in them returning, both are on a hiding to nothing and won't achieve anything in the sport, i'd rather see 3 car teams, more top drivers in better equipment the better.
The FIA already said they won't force teams to run 3 cars.
Whether they allow those that want to do do it is another matter, cant see it myself though.

I thought the reason for 5 engines a season limit, fuel flow restrictions and rev limits were for "cost cutting"?
Come on, we've seen over and over again that a completely dominant car massively compensates for any driver shortcomings. Rosberg and Hamilton were not really eye catching in 2013, were they shit? No. Suddenly, now that they have the best car on the grid they're winning consistently. Are Rosberg and Hamilton now just as good as Vettel was during his dominant phase? Not necessarily.
Same for Vettel, the car was 90% responsible for the wins, as long as he was fairly competent on race day he was most likely to win, simple as that. Just as the same can be said for this year's champion, other than the team mate no one got a fair shot at Hamilton or Rosberg thanks to the cars.
You have to look at the quality of a driver independent of the WDC titles, and when you do that Vettel hasn't PROVEN yet that he a fucking fantastic driver on the level of Hamilton or Alonso.
Ok, maybe he didn't like the set up of the car this season, but all that means at best is that the jury is still out on exactly how good he is, not "he is a really talented 4x champ having a off season". We'll find that out next season I suppose.
And before you misconstrue this as me saying that Vettel is shit, that is not what I'm saying, I saw a bit of the Hamilton and Vettel battle inGP3F3 and I think he did very well.

Time to tweak the formula so we have some decent sounding cars again. The formula we have now isnt preventing backmarkers from pulling out because of ridiculous cost, so may as well make adjustments to give fans and viewers a better theatrical show. Cant wait to hear how the crowd in Austin receives these rubbish sounding cars after the deafening wall of sound theyve enjoyed the last two years.
They are for cost cutting. You don't have to be a FIA apologist to state that. It's a fact. It's also a stupid idea because the cost cutting doesn't really help anyone in the end.
And when one of those teams inevitably find themselves regularly running at the back, what do you think will happen then?
It's not sustainable.
