I hate McLaren's livery.

I hate most liveries this year. Where's all the colour?

Bring back yellow Renault, to go with Ferrari's red and that nice blue of Sauber/Red Bull. No more black and grey please :(

So not worth it
Come back to me when you're a future Ferrari world champion.

Happy birthday! <3

I'm only 32, I still have time...

Silverstone is always going to lose their race. Bernie is a fucking wanker.

Once the negotiations are done he says what an awesome job they're doing and how the track is important to F1, and the facilities are amazing... and then a few weeks later he goes back to saying how things need to improve at Silverstone and how they might lose the race.

This passage is very important to note:
Praising Red Bull's efforts to promote itself, F1 and the Pirelli to new markets via its popular street demonstration runs, its junior development programme and its significant push in marketing beyond the traditional channels, Hembery says the loss of the Austrian outfit would be a huge blow to the sport for more than just grid numbers.
It highlights exactly what people have already said in here and what I feel many people underestimate when going "RB are just babies, let them quit, who needs them?". Red Bull leaving would be a huge loss for the sport.

an engine manufacturer leaving would be bad for f1.
again, redbull leaving is not the same as the classic teams or engine manufactures.
its bad for the sport, in terms of grid quality. sponsors will hate it, sure.

but f1 will go on.

@adamcooperF1: Official, no change to Canada, but Baku has been moved to June 19 and now clashes with Le Mans.

I guess that's the end of Le Mans. I don't see why anyone would watch it over Baku.

*race start to be scheduled to avoid conflict with the conclusion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans

How nice of them :/

Cars must now comply with all cockpit and safety equipment requirements during testing; such as the position of the driver’s head, all headrest padding, cockpit padding and ease of driver egress.

Sporting Regulations regarding track limits have been clarified and specify that drivers “must make every reasonable effort to use the track at all times and may not deliberately leave the track without a justifiable reason”. Penalties will still be allocated based on whether a driver is judged to have gained an advantage.

The WMSC approved the proposal of the F1 Commission regarding regulations for power unit and gearbox changes. Such penalties prior to qualifying will be applied based on the time of use. For changes made after qualifying, preference will be given to the driver whose team first informed the technical delegate that a change will occur.

Any driver who causes a start to be aborted, even if he is then able to start the extra formation lap, will be required to start the race from the pit lane. The same process will be applied to a re-start from a race suspension where drivers have been brought to the pit lane.

The WMSC confirmed a number of clarifications were made to aerodynamic testing restrictions for wind tunnel use and CFD, specifically focusing on reporting and inspection processes for these development tools.

For 2016, all cars must have a separate exhaust wastegate tailpipe through which all and only wastegate exhaust gases must pass. This measure has been undertaken to increase the noise of the cars and will not have any significant effect on power or emissions.

For 2017, on board cameras on stalks on the nose of cars will be prohibited.

The Formula E changes are all good. The pinnacle of open wheel racing continues to do everything right.

The 2015-16 FIA Formula E Championship regulations have been approved. The main changes are:

- All races now count to the overall championship classification

- Introduction of a new rule permitting a maximum of two driver changes per race number during the season

- The five fastest drivers from qualifying will then contest a single-lap Super Pole session to determine the top five positions on the grid

- Increase of power in race trim to 170kW and 200kW in qualifying trim

- Introduction of a Full Course Yellow system – similar to those seen in other FIA championships for on-track incidents

- Extension of the FanBoost voting deadline until the start of the pit stop window mid-race.

The WMSC also confirmed Michelin as the single tyre supplier for the FIA Formula E Championship. The contracts will cover Seasons 3 (2016-2017), 4 (2017-2018) and 5 (2018-2019), subject to the finalisation of the corresponding agreements.

The WMSC recognised the importance of ensuring that Formula E races must take place in a city location, and on a street circuit specifically adapted to Formula E.

Tempy

don't ask me for codes
Hulkenberg must be bummed out.

The calendar was always going to be problematic when you have too many races :/

That Le Mans/Baku GP looks like the same BS last year with Korea, to avoid drivers (not just Hulkenberg) going to Le Mans.

I can't imagine the logistical nightmare Canada and Azerbeijan in one week, so I don't think it's going to happen.

Yeah that calendar is a disaster. Silverstone GP will clash with Euro 2016 and is one week apart from the British MotoGP GP. What a joke.

If this BS continues, I'm done with F1.

Despite my initial reaction the calendar has been pretty fluid in the past even up to the start of the season. So, I'll hold my reservations for later in the offseason.

Re: Bernie, I don't know anyone (I barely know any real life F1 fans lol) that like him, but who is going to replace him? In what aspects do we think they will automatically be better? Horner is always mentioned and he is in the midst of a season long tantrum about Renault's PU.

Read the actual article maybe?

Ahh man... I was going to surprise a friend of mine by taking him to the F1 for his 40th. Based on that calendar it's the Malaysian GP.

Going to cost me a FORTUNE.

No joke, I genuinely think that that calendar might be Bernie's way of suggesting Baku might be in trouble and in need of dropping, the same way Korea's inclusion in the provisional calendar made absolutely no logistical sense. It's the only way I can make it make sense right now.

I would not be surprised if it's purely to screw over drivers who want to run WEC as well. I can see Bernie wanting F1 drivers to purely be F1 drivers, even if guys like Hulk doing well in WEC is pretty good publicity.

Dude replace Bernie with Lauda ;)

No, that part I get, it's the 1 week after Canada part.

If Stoffel Vandoorne isn't in F1 next year I just can't...

If I was a up-and-coming driver and McLaren came to me with a driver developmental contract I'd tell them to shove it. It's worthless.
