Yep, the rain and particularly the wind are nutso this morning here in Melbourne. Being Melbourne, this could of course be completely different when the clock strikes FP1, but as of now, the track will be littered with all sorts of mess.

And they were much closer than anyone else expected after all.

Melbourne is the track most suited for Ferrari of all first five. Well there was last year's Mercedes blue screen at Malaysia, but this race is moved now.. But yeah, 2016 season will be blessed by pure Ferrari dominance, already hinted on testing

CM can't lose the F1 license fast enough.

Those games never stopped being broken in major and unfixed ways, and have gotten progressively watered down in features with each release.

They're yearly releases with a strict and expensive license. EA and Sony gave it up, Activision passed when they had Bizarre Creations. there's no one else really around with the pedigree and pockets to step up and replace codies.

I enjoyed 2013, and 2015 wasn't bad apart from severely lacking in depth and weird shit like no safety car.

...and Maldonado is not even there this year.

Cool thanks. I'll set the alarm and if there's no running I'll blame you.

And I'll blame Bernie and his sprinklers system!

Reports from a coworker who has been there today, apparently a few of the jumbotron screens have been removed from last year, as have the concrete blocks used for GA seating. Sounds like they're cutting back even more this year than they did last year (ergo, the reason I only have a Saturday GA vs. a full weekend pass).

Aiii

So not worth it
Wolff on Sky saying that they couldn't tell Nico on radio that is was wet weather conditions instead of intermediate and he shouldn't push to hard under the new rules.

Good stuff, hope it's a sign of things to come.

Wolff saying, they were debating on calling in Nico because it was still to wet for inters. But with the rules they're not allowed to do that anyway.

[edit] beaten. guess sky got to him before the austrians :)

Didnt pay much attention to pre-season testing, so I missed the Merc boss saying the cars this year are more powerful than even the mighty v10s. Throttle control must be even more of a challenge in the wet.

As Nico found out!

Strange they parked him, just looked like a front on hit. The hit must have done some damage further back in the cooling or the like.

Sun? check
Rain? check
Stormy winds? check
Ducks on truck? check

Our weather is often a national laughing stock, but it's never dull or predictable (well, it's predictable only in its inconsistency).

Very dark here at the moment, and absolutely bucketing down again in the CBD right now.

lol... Lewis smug as hell. Perfect start to the season.

Swag levels turned up to 11. The only genuine rock star in the field? Love him or loathe him, his 'character' is much needed among this field.
