The more I listen to this the more I love it. It's so put together compared to the first cd. I hear MJ, JT, and oddly DeBarge era r&b. And most evident, the songs have real hooks and very little cheese.
Madge should have phoned up Adam for proper song selection.

...I guess I'll give this a listen, then. I really want Lambert to make music that's as electrifying as his voice. But his debut album, frankly, put me to sleep.

Still love Whataya Want from Me (especially Live Acoustic) and Voodoo.
Wow, I'm shocked. Production is sick and the hooks go on for days. Cuckoo is Brit level excellence IMO.

While I disagree that Destiny's Child was ever horseshit,
was definitely the group at their MOST flawless. They would never top that album.

First there was DC4. Beyonce, Kelly, LeToya, and LaTavia. Beyonce couldn't handle how much better of a singer LeToya was at the time, so she had her daddy do her dirty work and kick her out. LaTavia was just a casualty of war.
Then DC4-2 happened when they added Michelle and Farrah. Now you may not know who Farrah is since she was only there for about 36 seconds. She was in the 'Say my name' and 'Jumpin Jumpin' videos, though I don't think any of the music was re-recorded with her vocals.
Then DC3 happened when they got rid of Farrah, and went on to continue slaying as Beyonce and her backup singers.
Can't Let You Go sort of meanders (and is the inferior song to have the words "Can't Let Go" in its title), but those G5s in the final chorus are intense.

When Adam kicks it in high gear, he is vocally unmatched (of the guys).
He's the only true male diva we have left IMO, without Luther and with George Michael MIA. =(

Unfortunately for Farrah that 'parody' is how Bey really treats her. Funny how Bey thanked all of Destiny's children aside from her.

There are no lies here. Then again I've always been bored by male acts. They don't have to try nearly as hard as females do to be popular, and most of the time it shows.
Let's be fair; he's better up high than almost all of the girls, too.
I love the moments of DC on G2BR. They all make Beyonce look so bad.
Well, she really was that controlling in the group. Looking back, it's amazing her solo career took off so well, she was near universally despised after LaToya and Lasagna were kicked out.

Speaking of Fantasia paying tribute, thanks to G2BR I can't watch this without cracking up every time the camera switches to Aretha. She really DOESN'T like giving it up for singers covering her songs...lol
