It's kinda obvious of who will win what categories.

I think the only award that is worth a damn (for the viewer especially) is the Industry Icon award. I love the minidoc that goes along with it.

Seriously, I've never given a damn about awards my entire life, even when I'm the one receiving one. Then again, I don't really feel pride in general.

Keighley's awards mean bupkis. They aren't validation for working in this business and they most likely aren't earning you any extra money or other perks.

I've never seen nor heard anyone claim to be "ultra-motivated" after getting a Keighley.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker are usually present during these events (for some reason), so maybe there's new footage of Fractured But Whole.

IIRC the only time any of them was there was the one year that there was a voice acting awards that one of them won, and that was it

They also were in the flop year of no audience, everyone apparently being high and the guy from Community trolling everyone.

I hope the production value is up to snuff this year. Say what you want about the Spike VGA's, but I miss that overall format.

I swear the official site said 23 hours til showtime last night at this time. Now it says 7 hours... that's 4am. Not catching this live after all, apparently. I should've known a Euro-friendly schedule is too good to be true.

I might still be up then so we'll see.

Proud of Geoff and his team - TGA sales on nearly every platform too! Excited for some of the CGI teasers I bet, and happy that they are celebrating games in this manner. So many years drifting by, happy that he's hosting!

Any murmurs of the UMvC3 port being announced today? (As Iron Galaxy is streaming it a few hours before TGAs, and Polygon says that along with MvC4, there will be a surprise for MvC3 fans)

Didnt realize this was tonight. Fuck yes, the sooner it's over, the sooner the trailers will be out. Excited to see what's shown but I'm not spending a minute of my time watching this thing.

This might be a "duh" type question but...

...we usually go to bed around this time.

Can I expect "new thread for new-news" type stuff for announcements and new trailers such as Zelda's? If so, I'll just user NeoGAF as my cable tv.
