Huh? Vita got a cam showing when it was released.
Also, the game itself might not get a proper showing there, which isn't a good thing, but we're being presented with the intriguing cross-platform play, at least. Although I would've preferred a showing across all platforms. And more discussion of the mechanics.
Quick Look EXes work on different rules. If the MS Surface comes out with no video out, and they start doing QLs off-screen then you'd have a point.
Edit: Kind of funny that HotHamWater called out this kind of response ahead of time. It's basically pulling a funkystudent.

So what's your stance? Because Jeff says he doesn't like off-screen QLs they should dogmatically and inflexibly stand by that position no matter what, even when the situation is otherwise completely different from regular QLs?

I don't think this is terribly different from any other Quick Look. It's some guys talking and playing a game. That's basically a Quick Look.
The Supreme Court of Video Games struck down Giant Bomb's Quick Look policy regarding offscreen games.

I don't want to make an argument or blow something out of proportion, but it still struck me odd that this game gets so much attention for practically nothing newsworthy. I looks amazing, nothing wrong with that at all, but why so much focus on these features?
Still, if Ryan can manage that camera I think Vita quick looks aren't really an issue.

You want Jeff to come in here to give the same explanation for the third or so time so everyone can pretend to be really excited at some person getting virtually "shamed"? It's not like anything anyone does in this thread, let alone on this forum, has any chance of ever affecting how Giant Bomb does their content.
It is in the site's best interest to get video content of a new, exciting, upcoming product; especially when they get a piece of video content not many other sites may have. That is why they took a concession and recorded Vita stuff over the shoulder when it was released, and that is why they are doing it for this.

After watching the SotS QL EX I really can't understand why anyone would want Vita QLs done in the same manner. And I say that as someone who is 90% certain they are going to buy a Vita within the next 12 months.
It's nothing like that,it's just that Vita/3DS/PC don't bring the views and traffics (and that there is lack of them at GB)and XBLA/X360 games does do that so we got tons of them,it's as simple as that.
I like that they cover what they want to cover, and how they want to cover it. I don't get all the criticism and the "they're so jaded" complaining from people who claim to enjoy the site. My GB gateway videos were the Game Room ones, and after an initial "who are these guys and why are they devoting this much time to this" curiosity, I just take content as it comes. Nice and slow, or fast and hard, nawmean.
And, after I almost crashed on the freeway due to laughing my ass off at the Spencer's gifts discussion on this week's bombcast, they could do an entire episode talking about how much ass bjork from neogaf sucks on or whatever, and I would still enjoy their site. Vita videos or not.

PSO2 looks really good. The attacks sound and look awesome to the point where I'm having fun just watching them.
Is there any actual evidence of this? 3DS has been in a slump most of the time and they play a good amount of PC games. I don't know why people think views factor into them sitting down with a game for twenty minutes. There are going to be a certain amount of people that watch every QL for at least a little bit anyway.
I think the only criteria is if it is a notable game for its respective platform, or the guys are interested in it. Look at Vinny and the relatively obscure adventure game QLs.

The guys aren't portable players. They do a ton of Steam coverage. Maybe not every Steam game but that would be unfair. They cover what they want to cover.
