The fact that Retro City Rampage is crammed full of all those references does not deter from the fact that it is simply a poorly built game.
No amount of drugs would make it anything but a lazy cash-in with pointless contents.
You can call it a lot of things, but I don't think "lazy cash-in" is one of them. It was built by one dude over years.

Yup, that's pretty much the level of humour I find in this. The fact that it legitimately passes as "clever" to people in shows like Family Guy and Big Bang Theory makes me sad. What happened to actual jokes with situational and dramatic irony?
