The Gundam |OT2| Another 5 years of Gunpla, Origins, and GUNDAMUUUU!

It took a lot of shit to get Judau to actually focus on the task at hand. He eventually shapes up, but it wasn't easy.

yeah, hopefully i'll eventually get to that part, i'm going to take a break. it's not fun forcing myself to watch a show. feels like an rpg grind

but it's cool to have this gundam community, w/o it i doubt i would even give this show a chance this long.

Yeah I didn't like the show at all my first time either. After the second time through I appreciate it more but it's never hitting my top list.

been watching ZZ

up to episode 19...

it's pretty rough.... really too silly. i'm trying to force myself to get to 20 but it's hard...
what's w/ this stranger instant brother thing again... *eyeroll*
This is what makes ZZ good in my opinion.

Everything both before and after its so serious I cant take UC seriously. Not everyone in this universe can be so fucking misrable or serious at all times and ZZ allows for someone in this goddess forsaken timeline not always be so bad off.

It also contrasts nicely with the second half and makes it so when the series goes dark its way more pronounced and meaningful then things getting fucked from the word go and staying at a low for 50 straight eps.

Oh shit, he hasn't seen Unicorn, I forgot.

Save it until after you see episode 3 of Unicorn.
no worries! appreciate the gesture also nice build of 00

i think as i get to the second half i'd be able to go back and re-watch.

yeah, i agree not to have everything so dark, but for a first time thru watcher, it's hard to predict if this would recover and it looks like a train-wreck so far. thankfully, i got every in this community to give me the heads up that it gets better.

here's some pic of an IBO kit coming up:

This is the first time ive been tempted to get an IBO kit.

I know many disagree but to me it is very similar to the Leo, and the purple giving it that Space Leo vibe makes me want it bad.

IBO's cool if for nothing else but the weapon variety. Not having beam weaponry means you get to play with more conventional weapons. Without having to justify why they can't just strap beam rifles to everything, anyway.

The Graze is one of my favorite designs in quite a while, but I'm honestly starting to get a little tired of all these variants of it. It looks good in purple, though.
Reminds me of Unit 01

It took me two tries to get through ZZ. The first time I got through Moon Moon then just couldn't push any further. It wasn't until like a year later that I actually made it through the whole series. The exact same thing happened with Victory, though I came out liking Victory more than how I felt watching ZZ.

On a side note, I typically really dislike any docking mechanics in Gundam. I get that the core fighter is a staple thing in Gundam, especially UC, but I always feel like it is a holdover from the old Super Robot shows. ZZ was especially bad about it. A lot of the time they would take forever to launch all the parts to from the ZZ and all I could think of was, "Why aren't the enemy just letting them dock?" Victory might be the only Gundam series where I liked the transformations/docking. They use the separation and combinations in more creative ways to at least make it justifiable. The V1 pretty much being an expendable mass production suit allowed them to sacrifice pieces whenever they wanted.

yeah, not a bid fan either of the docking in ZZ esp during battles.

i'm watching ep. 24
wow, first time i saw Judau get KO'd... Taman just punched him once in the gut
shocking!

edit: Puru pushing Taman's sister away from Judau after she finds him w/ the core fighter. LOL

There's a reason most of the UC suits after 0079 ditched the Core Fighter. I dig the way The Origin uses it. It's not a docking item, but a multi-purpose fighter that also can be put in a MS to be used as an escape pod.

you've been building like a madman, enjoy the games

Man, you'd struggle with Xabungle and parts of L-Gaim.
lol, maybe i'll preview them next =)

ZZ up to episode 37

how do they just take off w/o Capt. Bright?

i know Beecha needs first hand experience on the bridge but this is ridiculous going into a major war...
ZZ just makes it like you need no organizational skills what so ever. i was willing to tolerate them being able to instantly fly bc they may be newtypes. but being captain of a ship, command of a bridge, ZZ makes it look like a complete joke. at least Char's Counter Attack, Char always respects Bright's strategy and experience.

i guess guess you don't need Capt. Picard, just put wesley crusher against the borg. lol

Sat down and knocked out RG Strike Rouge's lower body.

Amazing how much more pink it is then the MG RM, and given my loves of pinks it has made the build super enjoyable.

I even have been decaling the gal since David was so nice to hook me up with it and I figure if im going to decal one RG it would be this one lol.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
I won't stand for any bad words towards Beecha, dude's boss.

Y-yeah he was kind of a traitor, but remember he's still a kid. Kids don't know what they want at that age.

Why does Exia need both a physical sword and a beam saber?

In addition to what Sum of Zero said, just because it's a Gundam thing that even in universes with beam sabers, sometimes a physical blade is just better (or a physical blade + a beam).

Unless you already knew that and were just looking for an in-universe explanation in which case ignore me.

thanks! glad you're enjoying the kit.

Gundam Reminder: Thunderbolt episode 2 is coming out tomorrow.
Episode 3 is also dated - March 18. Sooner than I expected!

Yess! thx for the heads up.

ZZ watching ep. 43 now, i just gotta comment before resuming. puru two has the most awkward laugh in this episode =D
watch the scene when she facing Chara, puru two's taunting chuckle is too funny. i'm going to try and laugh like this in the future.

So how so you like that Glemmy Toto? Asshole can't even put a towel on the puru clones while he's talking to them naked.

i don't feel his too convincing as a leader. especially from where he started as a pampered boy who was after roux. but then again ZZ made beecha captain...

it'll be more realistic is someone was behind the scenes manipulation Glemmy... but him the mastermind of a coup, no...

This is actually a common thing for people even among ZZ fans.

Many suspect its because Char was supposedly going to be in ZZ and have an active role but then CCA got green lit and his whole character was pulled.

So the villians got hastily stiched together with Haman being amazing and Glemy.....well being Glemy.

i read about Char being held out for the movie. just kinda weak w/o him.

finished ZZ, where is Judau going w/ Roux? is just feels so rushed...

yeah, i didn't like ZZ too much... very anti-climatic. ending should have some sorta finale... did they run out of episode air time, so Zabi family girl was missing, is this it, no more story?

so confused... =/

Well damn, RightStuf just hit Zeonic-Scanlation's mediafire account with a DMCA.

Well, it seems that my MediaFire account was shut down simply because RightStuf says they own all things Gundam:

Thunderbolt Vol 6 started it all… and now everything is gone. All that is rather amusing considering they somehow managed to link to folders that contain works that I haven’t made available to the public nor officially released under ZS. It’s only taken, oh, 12 years for this to happen on a large scale, but it does make for an interesting attempt at continuing to release things. Guess I’ll just have to move to Mega now for releases.

Then again, I did file a counterclaim asking them to prove they have a license for English release of everything they flagged on my account. Which, if true, would mean that they licensed every Gundam manga in existence and would have to prove that:

They are headed to Mars. They want to avoid fighting Death though they like everyone learn about running.
