Broke down and grabbed the Metal Build Destiny MG and Akatsuki MG.

I had actually looked on eBay hoping to snag someone low balling an Heine WestDestiny for 250.00 but sadly didnt catch anyone lol, well more models to add to my back log :)

I did almost grab an Amatsu Mina I saw going for 190 but decided against it. Astray Blue is more then enough Astray.

Jesus, did you actually buy the Metal Build for over $100? Also, is the Akatsuki an actual MG or a 1/100th scale model NG? Cause I'm pretty interested in getting an Akatsuki myself

Nah, I got it for 75 and I grabbed the Akatsuki for just over 60.

So I got me both for under 150.00

I just couldn't bring myself to spend more then 250.00 for a 1/100 scale Gundam.

Akatsuki is based on the Strike RM MG. it was actually reviewed not long ago by someone in this thread, I want to say it was Shun but I maybe wrong on that.

I think it was Yami4ct

That is who it is.

His VA. Is a member of a band I believe and they supported SEED Destiny and Bandai made the Destiny Hiens Custom that is orange and looks AMAZING and it usually gets released as an online Or convention exclusive.

His VA is Takanori Nishikawa, aka T.M.Revolution

He also voiced Miguel in SEED.

No it was me. I got the Akatsuki, Hyaku Shiki 2.0, and Destiny.

Everyone else got it after that.

Please slightly sand the pegs before connecting so you don't end up with almost broken thumbs like me. Destiny less so but shit is tight. Sand too much they fall apart.

Wow.... where'd you manage to find the metal build for so cheap?

Interesting, I'll definitely look out for Shun's review for the Akatsuki

EDIT: ah okay, I see. It's from Dragon Momoko and isn't from a Japanese import site like Amiami

I'm pretty sure a ZZ announcement is incoming...

I guess I just remember Yami cause it took him forever to get the damn thing.

I also got the DM Akatsuki. I would definitely recommend it. I was surprised with how great it was for a non-official kit. Finish is really nice as well. If you can get a decent price, definitely recommend. Only complaints are the fit can be a bit tight in spots and their version of emotion manipulators are basically worthless. Luckily they give you all the fixed manipulators you could possibly want.

On the one hand, nobody should pay for ZZ.

On the other, it's nice to have the main UC stuff finally finished.

No I got the Metal Build Master Grade style knock off.

Dragon Momoko took the MB's design and turned it into a plastic kit.

No but seriously please sand because I really did almost break my thumbs and it almost turned me off completely from Dragon Momoko products. That gold finish they used was thick and it was even thicker because I had it gloss coat with future.

And the Shiranui design for the backpack was stupid because of how tight it ism whenever you want to move certain things there is a possibility of scraping the finish. The rest of the kit is ace tho.

Wish everything was undergated like most of DM.

Ill make sure to keep this in mind.

I just want to get it built so I can see it Delta Gundam, and Shiki next to each other. I still think ill prefer Delta but sometimes a model has changed my mind.

Last one you watched was Unicorn, right?

If so, F91 then Victory if you want to go chronologically. Then the lovely G-Saviour.

Then things get a bit dark.

Just curious, how many people here are planning to import Gundam Breaker 3 next week?
I'm grabbing the PS4 version and hoping for some good multiplayer fun.

Is there crossplay between Vita and PS4? What's the Gundam Breaker series like? Is Gundam Breaker 3 expected to be a good entry in the series? What's the lineup like? Sell me on it.

There's no cross-play, only cross save and cross buy (for DLC only).

List of GB2 Mobile Suits. If I recall correctly, GB3 is supposed to have all MS from 2 and some new ones.

As for the game being good, after the huge jump in quality between 1 and 2, I'm expecting great things from 3, especially since it's finally on the PS4.

Sadly, there's no streaming/remote play and it looks like drop rate boosters which were introduced in 2 (I think) are here to stay.

The MG Zaku 2.0's hoses are giving me an ulcer.
Also, what's the cool-kid way to panel line without doing panel washes these days?
I'm planning to start a Gunpla/model kit club at my university and want to get some easy techniques for newcomers to practice with. (Panel washes will come after.)

I only have a Vita right now... :(
I'll probably join you on that system in a few weeks. :/

Lol I built two kits that have those zaku links, and yea they are annoying to deal with. The only reason why I haven't built another zaku.

What zaku are you working on?

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Finished my HG Qubeley.

What a sleek and powerful looking model, and unlike Barbatos I can actually pose it without it falling apart---though maybe that's because my building skills increased lol. Was very fun to build, but man working on the wings was pretty exhausting especially considering I had to do it twice, but there was an amazing feeling of happiness whenever it came time to snap together one of the huge pieces after doing all the little pieces.

Next is ZZ in March. Very tempted to get some more but I feel like my parents might think I have a problem lol. Is there a Hama-Hama model out there? Just saw that in ZZ and thought it'd be pretty neat to have since I could pretend it's Mashmyre's.

There's an HG Hama Hama kit that goes back to 94, I have no idea how good the kits are from that time frame. You made the HG Revive Qubeley? How was it?

Why haven't they figured out a better way to handle the eye area without using stickers yet? I hate putting on the stickers around the eyes. It is so hard to get it on straight. It is especially bad for this MG RX-78-2 because I plan on using an LED and don't want extra light shining out. Has anyone had luck with using a black marker around the eyes?

Black thin markers or black paint on a thin brush can do the trick.

Usually, the eyes on the eye part are raised, which makes it difficult for a sticker to adhere anyway.

I use a black Gundam paint marker and flat plastic toothpicks. I start with a single dab on one edge, then I use the toothpick to spread the paint. A lot of times, the capillary action of the paint makes it crawl along the edges of the plastic, doing my job for me.

I did not do this for my recent build of the HG Unicorn Destroy Mode, but it worked on the RG Exia, and I'm planning to do it for RG MkII AEUG.

And the way that particular black paint dries makes it easy to fleck off if it goes somewhere I don't want it to go.

I wish! There's no place to paint it here at the dorms, so I'm stuck with straight-building and hand-painting until the summer. :/
oh mane that sucks, but trust me top coat and panel line makes the kit looks like it is a expensive piece. I do recommend the Gouf if you wan another great 0079 kit

Thanks. I'll see how it turns out with the sticker and if I don't like the results I'll just color the clear plastic with one of my markers.
