haven't post here for a while, I'm trying for the first time to paint metallic red effect to SD Sinanju, I use alclad silver and then alclad hot metal red on top for multiple layer to get the red color. and while I kinda like how it looks, it's really not what I expect.
I was hoping for it to be more reflective/shiny, also a more deeper red color, right now, the red kinda have a more pink is hue, is it a matter of layering more clear red paint? but I think the more layer I add, the less shiny it become.
I think one thing that I could try from reading around is to use glossy black base before I add the silver paint, may have tried that next time I tried this.
any tips for improvement next time I try this
edit: oh and I'm thinking to put a final glossy top coat when it's done. I hope that will help to give it more reflective finish.
