They don't have it up at their online store but they started doing it recently again for 1,500円 since it is a limited promo and you go in person drink a beer and you get to take the glass beer jokki home.

Gundam Cafe and yahoo auction have them, but auction sell it for like 2x the price.

I'm going to do pick one up from the bar Jaburo next time I go since Jaburo has some extra for sale.

Well sub episode is still a great experience, though ep1 of gundam wing has always been one of the strongest opening episodes Ive seen. All the music is so good, and he is still amazing. Laughed at the roundtable scene.

Love Rose Bath Treize and Jason Voorhees Japanese School Boy Version as a lead.

Wing has the best first episode in Gundam.....only to have a disaterous 44 straight following the fifth.

Finished up SEED and 00. Really thoroughly enjoyed SEED and hated 00 for the most part.

I've heard both series pretty much jump the shark in their second season but i still want to give Destiny a chance. No amount of coaxing or booze could get me to watch another season of 00 lol.

Ill probably take a break from them and try to alternate between 2 series again. Looking either at Wing with Turn A or ZZ with some random UC OVAs i have't seen yet.

haven't post here for a while, I'm trying for the first time to paint metallic red effect to SD Sinanju, I use alclad silver and then alclad hot metal red on top for multiple layer to get the red color. and while I kinda like how it looks, it's really not what I expect.

I was hoping for it to be more reflective/shiny, also a more deeper red color, right now, the red kinda have a more pink is hue, is it a matter of layering more clear red paint? but I think the more layer I add, the less shiny it become.

I think one thing that I could try from reading around is to use glossy black base before I add the silver paint, may have tried that next time I tried this.

any tips for improvement next time I try this

edit: oh and I'm thinking to put a final glossy top coat when it's done. I hope that will help to give it more reflective finish.

For the candy coat if you want a deeper red color it is just a matter of making sure your chrome/silver is as glossy as possible before adding on the clear red, and then adding more layers of clear red onto it.

I'm not sure if you did a gloss black base or a gloss coat base before putting on the silver, but that usually helps in making it a little more reflective.

I personally like the finish you have doing right now, but if you want to you can add a little more clear red then go over with a extra gloss finish on top.

If you're too apprehensive, test it on a spare part or a runner or a spoon before adding more clear red.

Also try to be as steady and even as possible with the metallics, pooling and overcoating will ruin the look. Thinning too much or too little will also affect the look so test your ratios again before going at it.

I can't really provide you a hard set since it differs for people with the brand of paint they use and the look they're going for, but metallics are really fun and it's really worth it in the end if you stick with it.

I was wondering, what's everyone's opinion on Gaia Gear, Hathaway's Flash, Crossbone, and Sentinel?

Do you guys think they will ever get adapted to movies or OVAs based on success of Origin and Thunderbolt Gundam?

I am finding a lot of fan made OPs for them on youtube... It looks cool?

There's always rumours of Crossbone getting adapted and I can see it happening eventually hopefully in the form of an OVA so I can import that shit for the English subs. I doubt we'll ever see the other three get adapted.

I think Alclad sells their own brand of gloss top coat that make it more shiny. For black base you can buy the Alclad black gloss primer as base, that way you don't need an extra layer of paint.

I think you did a great job on the candy color, gloss is very difficult to get a good finish compare to matte.

Of those, Hathaway flash and crossbones have the best chance of being adapted. GaIA Gear is kind of outdated and doesn't work with v gundam. Sentinel won't happen. Apparently there is a lot of legal shot blocking that.

Crossbone and Hathaway's Flash are the most likely to get that treatment. The Vanguard has been waiting too long to see our God King Tobia get animated. ;__;

I use alclad brand which is premixed already so I don't have to thin it manually, I think it's great for my first time. Pretty expensive though, and putting multiple layer of clear red for every piece take quite a lof paint.

Over the years I've grown to like Wu Fei's gundam... maybe in a few years I will like the pilot too.

Made progress on my MG Aegis this weekend, it's now a head, torso... and right shoulder lol. Talk about slow burn, but I'm determined to finish it before buying another kit. It's been 6 months haha.

Easily one of my top 3 Gundam shows for it's characters alone. And that's not even mentioning it's amazing music and atmosphere. Though character interactions could be a bit strange and sometimes nonsensical (it is a Tomino show after all).

Watched the first 10 minutes of Cross Ange before crashing last night. So I saw Freedom, Infinite Justice throwing its dagger, Destiny's ASS sword thrust, etc. etc.

Yup. Turn A seems to be love it or hate it. I think it's a masterpiece and marks the end of the "classic" era of franchise. It felt like such a great stopping point. Seed was a reboot.

She is a bitch but she has had so much awful shit happen to her there is no way she wouldn't turn our a little messed up.

She made Cross Ange bare able for me.

Because quite frankly it is shit. I'm hate watching it, but I can find some things I can sort of like. Granted at this point I'm binging the Macross portion of Robotech to wash Cross Ange out of my mind, but I'm going to finish Cross Ange at some point even if it kills me. I don't even remember what my last episode was. And that chick with the robot arm is sort of awesome and the one that adores her...probably my two favorite characters with Hilda. Seeing that woman act like Sailor Moon was hilarious.
