Looks cool, love me some digimons.
Been debating if I want to mess around with gold/metalic accents on my MG Aegis, either when it's finished or while building. Talking like some of the random details like pipes and a few vents and stuff in the molded parts. Feel like it would make them pop a bit more or be completely over done lol.
I would only if you plan to give it an overall flat coat and you can do it evenly then it would look nice. No need to prime if you know how to lightly sand the surface you touch up on like the pipes and pistons.
Thats a gorgeous Omegamon. My friend got one of the bandai figures at last Fanime and it looked great out of box, best digi design for sure.
fuck this is nice
I guess it all right.
Teach me, master!
Whoa, that's some really nice panel lining! I'm guessing you used panel washing to get those fine lines?
please build and show off more =)
It's a pretty standard build if you attempted to paint before. Quite a few imperfections that I should have addressed better like masking the blue stripes on the chest. The symbols on the sword and the panel lines are always done with a wash.
I've advocated for a wash for a while since it's the most flexible, fastest, and most cost effective way to add details onto a kit vs using something like a gundam marker.
I really should build more, it just gets difficult during the year to find time and access to a space and air compressor to do this with, even more so with a decent place to take a picture of it.
I'm likely not keeping this Omegamon kit, probably going to donate it for the local Jodo Shinshu raffle when they hold Obon in a couple weeks.
Things I still really need to practice on is proper waterslides on a painted kit vs dry transfer and reverse washing metallics properly as well as really tedious shit like sanding v fins and edges, fusing seamlines, and learning how to properly make custom pieces.
