I didn't intend to binge build it but I could Just. Not. Stop.
The red gloss and gold plated parts look amazing in person. I did elect to skip panel lining this (aside from the small yellow parts). This thing really is a beast. I wouldn't say it's the best RG, but it's definitely one of best looking ones.
Sadly it is indeed a bit floppy in the waist, but not as much on mine compared to some reviews I'd seen. More than anything I had to deal with the toes falling off. And trying to get the shield like that made the arm cuffs fall off a few times.
I didn't try standing it up by itself with the backpack, as heavy as it was I doubt it can stand alone.

BOOM, there she is.
So, this is Bandai's latest addition to their RG(Real Grade) line, and it's an ambitious one. As always, the RG is attempting to fit the poseability and detail level of a Master Grade kit into the High Grade's 1/144 scale. However, the RG Sinanju attempts to do one better and surpass the MG version of the MS by using a new piece layering technique for it's complex trim instead of the typical decals.
In this regard, the kit is a resounding success. Building the trim is a cinch, and the result is spectacular. The shield especially benefits from the new method, with the Neo-Zeon crest popping(literally!) out of the shield. Expect to see this sort of thing in future kits, including the inevitable Perfect Grade of the Sinanju.
Even the more traditional parts of the frame impress. The detail level on every section of the MS is superb, and the mild gloss finish looks great. Small touches like the color of the head-gatling ports and the design of the exposed portions of the skeleton being show accurate show just how much love went into creating this thing. Even the Monoeye is articulated!

The overall range of motion is very good with only a few hiccups here and there. The waist is touchy, and a little flimsy to boot. I haven't had it fall apart on me yet, but I imagine some more exotic stand-assisted poses might give it some trouble. These issues are compounded by the Sinanju's top heavy nature and the limited mobility on its feet; Expect to be using the sides of those often when trying dynamic poses without a stand.
Speaking of top heavy, the backpack will be responsible for most of your woes in this regard. If it's any consolation, the backpack is also extremely poseable; the main thrusters can be closed together as shown or spread apart, the nozzles and solid fuel tanks are articulated, and the entire engine assembly can be rotated vertically if horizontal stuff just isn't your thing.
In addition to the standard beam rifle, sabers, and shield, the Sinanju also comes with a pair of beam axes. Each axe comes with two effect parts, one short and one long. If you don't feel like putting them in a hand, you can mount them both onto the shield and make this dangerous looking thing, or attach them to each other to create a dual beam Naginata. Sick!
Sadly, the Sinanju's Hyper Bazookas are MIA. Thanks P-Bandai.
Despite the minor issues I've outlined, I wholeheartedly recommend this Gunpla for anybody who's a fan of Char-type suits or quality UC designs in general. It looks great, poses great, builds great...

The reviews have all been for the RG which doesn't need the gold decals. That's the whole gimmick. Good stuff is molded plastic.
The MG is a hell of a kit and the RG seems to be even better. I would love to see a PG or MG 2.0 that used some of those ideas.
Yea I have been looking at the stein, mg ova, and rg version for a while.
I have fell in love with the sinanju watching unicorn. Might cave and pick one up

Admittedly, while I acknowledged the Sinanju was a good design, I never cared much for it until I built the RG.
That's usually how it is with me, I truly appreciate a design after I build a kit of it.
Amen to this. I didn't care for the double c at all till built.
I think am just going to pick up the rg sinanju and enjoy those gold trims.
Also guys how is the rg/mg zeta gundam? I watching YouTube reviews but I always lik asking the forum

Can't comment on the MG, but the RG is a literal hand grenade. It's designed well, but it's not stable at all unless you keep it in Waverider mode forever.

Zeta 2.0 Good but easily worst 2.0 given issues with legs and standing.
RG engineering marvel but fucking awful model in bot mode.
Zeta Plus MG- best Zeta model yet released aside from Lightning Zeta
I honestly disagree with this.
barb HG is a great kit and while some extra details would be nice I think it's very similar to say ZZ where as the HG is so good the RG isn't a huge upgrade.
Now like Alex, G Self, and Turn A are all kits that need that RG treatment.

I recently rewarched Zeta and ZZ and CCA. Currently watching 0096 as it airs. Once that's over, I'll move on to F91 and Victory
RGs are more than articulation though. It's also part separation, detail and quality.
I'm well aware. I just strongly disagree that Barb is in great need of it given its HG compared to most leads.

Were they working with limited run time or something? Because from the fight to the entry of Industrial7 it felt like they didnt even give Banagher time to recover, it just happened which seems OOC for him and for most of the Gundam's Ive seen.

Good writing would have had it the other way around, especially since she had the disadvantaged upbringing, the manipulation arc, and everything but her new father taken from her. Only saving grace was that she went out in a glowing glory showing just how good she affected so many different people. Riddhe was so close to being redeemed but he even shut off Minerva, of all people. Banagher should keep him alive so that he has to live with this punishment for the rest of his life, screw Riddhe.

If I had written Unicorn I would've A) kept Marida alive or B) have Zinnerman shoot Riddhe if some exec forced the Marida death on me.
