I built one of the early HyGogg kits from the late 80s as a kid and it's been one of my favorites ever since. Alas the kits haven't gotten much better since.

Seems like a perfect choice for the RE 1/100 line which has a lot of oddball UC cult-classics.

Wow, the colony drop stuff in ZZ was intense, really well done.

i recommended to watch it bc i think it was worth the struggle instead of skipping it but glad you're really enjoying it.

That part spoilered makes no damn sense at all though. It's like she used the instant transmission to appear just in the nick of time and then teleport to safety. I have my own reasons for liking Kamille more than Judau. I think you're getting pretty close to that reason as well, but you'll probably just read that situation differently than me, though I'm not the only person that's annoyed by it. How do you like nutty ass Chara?

Chara is funny, i really liked Mashymre Cello but kinda weird comeback.
i didn't like the female cast as much as Zeta,

felt the dialogue wasn't as intelligent. especially when Emma Sheen points out to Capt Bright that she doesn't want Kamille to be attached. her reasons were well thought out.

The whole 0080 line would be a great set for new kits, especially the Hygogg. And maybe throw in Kapool/Capule.

I used to walk by a design school a lot that had giant Hygodd and Kampher statues. They were about 2m tall, and so badass to stand next to.

My latest build (along with a quick Graze Ritter I built with my nephew)

This thing feels kinda different for the IBO line, and I like it. It's a cool-looking design with a lot of little details, a trasnformation/flight-mode gimmick, and an eye-catching red color scheme. And also real feet that neither look like stiletto heels, nor tiny Chinese princess feet that it can't stand on.

Getting this kit out of sticker hell is kind of a bitch though. It has a lot of parts that need to be painted to look right, and it has those thick, nasty stickers used for the emblems and the like, with no real way around them other than to very carefully trim around the edges.

Even still, it's one of my favorite IBOs.

I still think of Emma as Kamilles big sister though and despite her wishes Kamille still became pretty attached to her. Mashymere is the ultimate Haman-sama fanboy. Chara...Chara actually became more normal in the end.

I think ZZ had the best colony drop stuff so far (Seems to be a reoccurring trope in UC Gundam). The stakes felt way more real than before and the aftermath just solidified that. It was just a somber episode and it was all just amplified by all the sensitive Newtypes/Cyber Newtypes feeling the fear and pain of all the civilians in Dublin. Thought it was really well done.

RIP Elpeo Ple I grew to really enjoy her character.

Z and ZZ have both been great, it would have complimented Z so much better as a direct continuation without the tonal mess that was the first 15 odd episodes. It didn't have to be super serious, but it didn't have to disrespect and mess with the original cast like it did. It would have been fine to have Judau and crew bring a bit more light heartedness to the Argama without all the dumb filler and people leaving cockpits open/not wearing normal suits in space.

At least it's been great since then!

I was expecting some kind of reaction but there was nothing hey. I feel like he was using her to come to terms with his sister'a death (Giving her Leina's dress etc) and now that he knows she isn't actually dead she became kind of secondary to him? I'm not sure, the way they handled it was weird.

Perhaps any kind of reaction he could have had post battle was changed because he saw Ple Two alive and well in the cockpit of the Psyco.

Mobile Suit Gundam Crossbone Vol 1: Space Pirates

So far I'm really enjoying it. While I don't mind the art style I had to double check if certain characters were in fact the same people from F91 since they differ greatly. Its interesting that F91 is basically the backdrop for what I am sure will be more in depth or at least not as rushed. I look forward to reading more. I will probably blitz my way through the more I get invested.

Mobile Suit Gundam Crossbone Vol 1: Space Pirates

So far I'm really enjoying it. While I don't mind the art style I had to double check if certain characters were in fact the same people from F91 since they differ greatly. It's nice because the returning F91 cast gets much more characterization as well. It's essentially F91 season 2.

Finally got the RG Sinanju. I immediately grabbed the rocket bazooka that I got from System Weapons 007 to see if it would combine with the Sinanju beam rifle.

It does combine, but you have to trim a few tabs off the rocket bazooka to get it to work. But once you do that, it fits and looks great. Identical to the combined rifle/bazooka image they use for the P-Bandai set.

It's nice because the returning F91 cast gets much more characterization as well. It's essentially F91 season 2.

It's unfortunate that it's only the three returning members. And that they only hint and imply at a few interesting events that happened in the aftermath of F91, but before Crossbone.

I actually plan on painting mine pearly white if I can. Can you believe I always thought it was white and not green when I watched the anime? It wasn't until I looked at some concept art after finishing it that it was actually green.

Building the Wing Fenice, and it feels super finnicky. Got near complete, and trying to reposition the wings sent the v-fin flying off the head- found it, but not the little red part that sits in front of it, which seems to be lost in the carpet somewhere. Hope I can find it, because I really don't want to jump through hoops and a 10 week wait on a replacement from Bluefin.

Edit: which apparently isn't even an option because Bluefin's replacement services aren't available and haven't been for nearly a year, apparently.

Hi everyone, another Gundam/Gunpla convert here. Been building a PG Unicorn and somehow the chest parts seem to be hard to snap well together so you always see some red there and there. I've been fairly careful to cut everything as tight as possible and still can't make it look good (though maybe I am being finicky).

Anyone had a similar issue?

Glemy was just blah as a villain overall. There were a few bits of dialogue that seemed to hint at his lineage as if was somehow connected by blood to the Zabi family and I feel like that would have been way more interesting to explore than what we got. Never could find his motivation beyond being power hungry.

More Haman would have been nice, she was great.

CCA was kind of... messy. I think it was the pacing that felt off to me, it honestly made me wish this storyline had been fleshed out more as part of a series. The animation was incredible though, especially for it's time. Some really great spectacle stuff despite some annoying characters like Quess and Hathaway and Amuro's random new girlfriend (What happened to Beltorchika!?)

Watched the first episode of 0080 and holy crap if this keeps up then I think I'm in love. Loved seeing how the fight between Zeon and Earth Fed affects regular people, felt like there was a scale to it that just doesn't come across in the main series despite it only being a fight between regular old grunts. And that music! Why is there no bluray release of this still!?

In the end two men died bitching about their ex from 15 years ago. I have got to watch War in a Pocket and finish it at some god damn point. Maybe when I'm done with Hunter x Hunter I'll hit a Gundam binge.

I have never thought of Char that way. Paptimus just had too much jovian swag, Char just couldn't get beyond certain issues while Paptimus did his best to set goals, achieve them and use anybody to obtain said goals. Then again you probably are right since Char wouldn't smack his women up. Paptimus, he'd lay down that pimp hand is a heart beat.
