The Gundam |OT2| Another 5 years of Gunpla, Origins, and GUNDAMUUUU!

Right then I stand corrected. I don't know why I always felt like Crossbone was like super far in the UC timeline.
Based on the way the suit design evolves nothing could possibly come after the bug eyed Victory suits. Uso's probably one of the more underrated UC pilots too, he's not an OP Newtype, but what he accomplishes with mostly raw skill is frightening.

100% agree on Uso. I really like him and how he fight on pure instinct and quick thinking. Like how he constabtly uses the Victory's fonctions to there maximum.

Yeah like the last thing you want to do is make Uso mad while fighting him, he'll fuck you up, he's got some great fights in my opinion. The way he was able to use the docking sequence as a distraction and weapon was very cool to see, I find it far more efficient compared to Shinn for example from Destiny, he blew through way too many parts.

i just ordered but it's back ordered so this ships 4-6 weeks... i was thinking of this or gundam planet nippers but they raised price so it same cost now. i guess i get this one.

I wonder about those Gundam Planet ones. I would love to try but they won't ship to Japan (I tried ordering through Amazon US). I have my suspicion that the Gundam Planet nippers are actually just the Wave Gate Cut nippers minus the adjustable stopper ( http://hlj.com/product/WAVHT-389 ) If you look at both compared the build is nearly same minus the stopper. Both are made in Taiwan from what I can see and they come with the same nipper cap. I have the Wave version but they aren't up to God Hands level. Doyusha recently came out with their own God Hand copy ( http://hlj.com/product/DYS00438 ) which hilariously enough even though Doyusha is a Japanese company looks like they just sent a pair of God Hands to a factory in China and asked them to copy them. These are not as good either. They all cut well enough but I find the God Hands have the best cut of the lot. I want to do a youtube video about them all one of these days.

that's interesting. i was reading a forum where someone was trying have the godhand localized in the US but found out it's scarcity is because of licensing issues.
i was considering gundam planet because they're 3 blocks from my house =P i stopped by and they were about 35. i think it's worth the wait for the godhand since it's about the same price and i can group it with other stuff in private warehouse. thanks for the heads up.
on the same forum, someone had the SPN-120-S double edged/taper but that looks like it's discontinued. have you ever see those?
Picked these up when I was out in LA on vacation:

very nice =)

Wow PG Fenix... will be it any improved over the MG? All I've heard about the Unicorns are that they are a pain in the ass to build lol despite how awesome they are once finished.

PG Unicorn is an amazing kit. Especially with the LED kit. But hooooly fuck is it arduous. And a Fenix with all that plating, I would be terrified

PGA Unicorn and Banshe are an improvement over the MG in ever single manner.

One of the best models Bandai has ever done. Just becareful with the lighting conditions.

Phenix though may issues a bit more with nubs but it'll still look great.

I've always wanted a pair of those old double edged SPN-120-S to try. They didn't make many and were discontinued quick from what I hear. To be honest though I don't think they would cut as well as the standard SPN-120's. With two sharp sides you are going to end up pinching the plastic in the middle which will leave a bigger mark than the single sharp sided SPN-120's.

Speaking of PG, 7-Eleven color PG Unicorn and Astray are on sale from today as well! 60,000 Yen (~$600) if you want both. Phenix may be a bit out of my budget!

There is also a P-Bandai RE/100 Rebawoo on the way as well:

PERFECT GRADE PHENEX 43,200円 BOYZZZZZZ

What has science dooooone?!

I want it, but not that bad. I'm not paying upward of $600 for a PG + the LED set. There's a line I draw on how much I spend on my hobby... no matter how glorious that gold plating looks.

I'm still waiting for the DM green-frame Unicorn, which is what I will be spending my money on as soon as it's available.

Damn that Phenex looks great though (and I love gold/blue).

PS: Pretty cool that all the people who were certain of a PG Phenex were validated.

SABER FULL CLOTH + EXCALIBUR ARMS

I don't understand the audience for this. The appeal of Saber isn't the size of her weapon or her arsenal. At least as far as I know anyway, but apparently there is a niche large enough to justify this product (maybe I'm underestimating the massive popularity of Fate as a whole).

I don't normally like when people go for third party/knock offs but the 150 knock off makes sense for people on a budget.

It's not just a knockoff. It comes with stuff not in the Bandai release at all. Bandai's Unicorn doesn't have carry arms for the extra gear, nor does it include gatling guns and a beam javelin. Plus it comes with an extra bazooka and shield, plus a base for the Unicorn, plus a whole LED set with a goddamn remote control. And the price point is just crazy. I was tempted to push the button now and get the red one but I shall wait for the green frame.

Edit: Oh, and waterslides. Of course. And they apparently improved the stability of the arms. I can't tell until I get my hands on the kit itself but everything I've seen so far makes it look like the DM Unicorn is heads better than Bandai's. I look forward to reading the reviews.

Edit 2: I know I'm gushing. Silence!

whats so bad about destiny?
For me personally?

Cast is awful.

Development was clearly rushed and writing style and choices are muddled under the weight of Fan demands for things like Kira and Lacks.

Suit design is largely awful and there are just to many ass pulls trying to bolt it on to SEED which wasn't well setup for an anime follow up.

Reset of character growth is a huge factor.

Shin is the second worst lead in Gundam.

The thing in favor of Destiny is that it is bad in a way that leaves it highly entertaining unlike true failures like the second season of 00 or AGE. The story is still interesting in the way a train heading straight for another train at full speed is interesting.

The character regression is bad but nowhere near as bad as the lobotomy most people in 00 Season 2 got. I actually think the mobile suit design is stronger in Destiny than Seed, if a bit...rehashy.

Shin is an interesting dude. He's clearly meant to be seen as the protagonist and he's supposed to be the Cosmic Era equivalent of Kamille. Only he's a shit head. The interesting idea is what if they had actually planned his entire character arc in Destiny in advance, then I'd say they succeeded wildly...but it's clear they did not.

I'll agree it's not as bad as AGE, AGE is the worst thing to hold the title of Gundam in my eyes.

I see alot of people coming around more and more to Destiny mech designs, but so long as SEED has Blitz, Dual Assualt Shroud and Freedom I give it the edge over Destiny if only because Destiny rehashed so hard.

There is nothing bad about Destiny. The only people mad about destiny are people who dont understand Shinn, fortunately, they are in the minority.

Destiny level ups all the great things about Seed and delivers on providing great storytelling for Zaft remnants. I love seeing that side and all the new gundam designs are really excellent. Also its so emotional.
