I'm not familiar with either. Wasn't yamato a movie that was spliced into a series.
Redo the movie trilogy imho. 2 hours or more each
SBY 2199 was released a few episodes at a time and screened at theaters prior to releasing it to television. It basically allows the studio to get the extra money and hype from theater screenings and get it on TV too.
While 2199 was 26 episodes, to do the OYW Origin version properly, I'd expect you'd need more. If there are shows that can keep that hype going for that many episodes in a theater going, 0079 is one of them. Given how well The Origin manga tightens up the pacing and really fixes up 0079, the kind of last thing I'd want them to do would be to splice it all down to movie trilogy size again even with increased runtimes.
It should be OVA or a Theatrical release. That way you will know it will get a budget with high animation quality that you expect from it regardless of how long it takes.
Versus getting it made into a TV anime with flavor of the week budgeting and stress amongst the staff, leading into animation issues that probably won't be as nice as an OVA or Theatrical release in the Bluray print.
I'm all in favor of more high quality OVAs and Theatrical releases over TV anime if it means a better quality product in the end and for the people producing the work to have peace of mind. We don't need more underperforming forgettable flavor of the week TV anime.

I agree. I just don't want to wait too long. Even knowing the quality will be high doesn't make the wait easier. lol

-The V2 is one of the best Gundam design in the whole gundam universe.
After every episode Victory climbs higher and higher in my gundam favorites list. Not one bad episode yet.

This the Ep where Lupe bath "tortured" Uso? Katejina is really easy to hate, but I like her for some odd damn reason, especially in the end, felt bad for her. Though she's a horrible influence on Chronicle, he's nice...too nice for her.

This battle against the dragon MA was really cool, although that MA seemed really awkward to use.
The scene with Odelo having a seizure was also really nice a thing that actually vould happen and the way Uso reactes felt genuine.
That funeral scene at the end with the music and visuals were amazing and very sad. I loved it.
One thing that bugged me tho, wad the lack of reaction to the fact that Uso's mother got kidnapped!

Man seeing Uso give his mom's helmet, with probably her head inside, to Marbet saying "that's my mom" with the blood dripping was brutal....damn.
Those earth battle are really cool tho, and it's really when they are fightung on earth like this that we can see how dangerous MS battles are on earth in Victory. It's basicly a nuclear war.
Also I remember seeing a V2 use his wings as a shield somewhere and I can't remember where and it really bugs me

The death of Uso's mom is quite possibly the most fucked up Gundam death in my opinion. I just can't think of one more fucked up than that one.

In terms of after death effect with the head in the helmet I agree. But just in terms of ugly death? SEED had people explode like balloons from a radiation canon, stargazer had the Blu Duel pilot stabbed to death by bucues while screaming and recently IBO had much worst. Those are just of the top of my head.
Kamille's mom always gets me. Less for the shock for Kamille who kinda gets over it pretty easily and more for how shitty it makes Jerid. People die in war! Yeah, like that time you killed that kid's mother and weren't really shocked about the Titans doing something like that.

I haven't seen IBO or Stargazer so I know nothing about those. I'm way more haunted by Uso's mother death than I was with the colonists exploding. I think the situation with Uso had more weight than a bunch of random people exploding. I think when I say fucked up I'm talking more about weighted impact than just shear brutality.
Jerid's a shitheel though. Feels nothing for killing Kamille's women, but gets all pissed when one of his dies to keep his own ass from dying. Jerid would've died much earlier if it wasn't for Mouar and...I can't remember the other one. The death of Kamille's mom is fucked up cause she's just thrusted into the vacuum of space and probably exploded off screen right in front of her son.

The thing is, no one in SEED feels like an actual character. Everyone is bland and annoying, there's nothing to the deaths to make them matter. The death of Frau's family in the first episode of 0079 has more effect than every death in all of the garbage ass CE series.

Yea I agree with the weight it does have on Uso which is huge at that moment. I mean he does see his mother get crushed in front of his eyes. My exploding people were a bad exemple.
Tho imo the most brutal death is won by stargazer, if one day you see it you will probably agree.

I only call SEED trash. I think every other Gundam series has SOMETHING redeemable about it. Even ones I don't personally enjoy like W. But SEED is bad in every single respect with the exception of its godly OST. But I have detailed that several times over the years of these threads, so if you care about my actual opinion you can go back through the archives.

Deathscythe and Epyon are amazing products as well.
It seems like they really do focus on what sells world wide.
Had a hunch, but they seemed bigger than the average resin company. Or maybe Shun just gives that impression

In the final 6 or so episodes of G Gundam rewatch. Damn this show is legit good. Its premise is silly as all heck but so watchable which is great. Makes my burning passion for a MG God 2.0 even higher. Common 2017 surpsise us.

Everyone is still pretty chill halfway through this series. Pretty much no one dies. Everyone is forgiven even for massive transgressions. Judau gave out an asswhooping to Wong, who clearly misses Kamille.
Judau is like opposite Char. Just wants to get his sister back, isn't a pedophile.

The part about having a fuck ton of nude Puru 2's prancing around in front of him really gave me pedo vibes.
Yeah I still haven't got to the Glemmy is the secret mastermind or the part where the first comedic fop villain comes back ready to fuck up planet earth and totally batshit insane.
His entire plot though as I remember it is to get into Roux's pants.

To up her value to make a trade for Roux more feasible. I'm not kidding, this is his stated goal, though it's back during the 100% comedy days of ZZ.
I'm on Episode 24 or so and the series is now down to about 60% comedy.

Because it wears a larger version of Trowa's clown mask in the movie
The original Heavyarms' color scheme is actually based on a clown which is why it is very colorful for something that just had loads and loads of guns and missiles

The clown mask was handled weirdly for Trowa, I always hated how it was kinda not explained but also obvious what it represented. It does add to the fact that we the audience and other characters only know half of who he is, in that he is not actually the original Trowa and there is some mystery to him hidden behind a mask literally and figuratively. But also bothers me they kinda added it to more and more things post Wing like it was there all the time -shrug-
Some theories are that he was Wing's real "Char" like character all along aside from or including Zechs. ( it was effing Zechs)
I generally do the same giveb there are multiple Gundam's with the name Prometheus.

I wonder if any of the FT suits are going to get gunpla? Does that really need Katoki to do line art or something? Only one I like is Epyon White, just tell to fool to do line art for Epyon White.
