I finished 0079 last night, I'm really impressed how solid those last couple of episodes are. I watched the first episode of Zeta and the leap in animation is ridiculous. I'm super excited to go through it.
In Zeta every fucking argument is ended by slapping the taste out of someones mouth. You can make a drinking game out of it, but it's like risking your own life.
Finished F91. Liked it a lot, even if the pacing was rushed as hell. Would have been a lot nicer as a full series instead. The F91 was pretty slick too, I liked the twin cannons and the shoulder fins.
Really made me feel like I should have watched UC in production order rather than chronological. That Unicorn ending
of POSSIBILITY and Newtypes and Laplace's Box really ended up being just another thing the Federation government swept under the rug then, didn't it? Newtypes are still a myth, and still only known for being ace pilots.
Well, on a Gundam it's not usually easy to cut them in half (at least versus grunts). Armor does some work, so it seems weird for it not to have armor there. I guess it's the "bare bones" version and they eventually put something there since they'll use scavenged parts in the show.

That's one explanation. Mine is more that F91/Victory are so different as to basically be their own thing and Sunrise basically doesn't care about them anymore. I fully expect to see a post-Unicorn story that basically writes them off as another AU sooner rather than later. As popular as UC continues to be and as few gaps there are left, it seems inevitable. No way they try to make a post-Victory set UC series.
They should release like an Advent Calendar version of Barbatos where the sprues for each upgrade are locked behind the date the corresponding episode airs. :V

RGs tend to get mixed reactions due to the fact they're so small and delicate, but they are some of my favorite releases. Such intricate engineering. Cannot wait to get my RG Astray.
Zeta Char is still great. He's arguably even more interesting than in 0079. If you're worried about Char losing his touch, that's not a problem until CCA.
Edit:
There's a Mag in PSO2 that looks exactly like the Qubeley? It's even called the Beley. Hahah. That's kind of ballsy.

I used to wonder if maybe Char had planned all along to align himself with Neo Zeon and become a villain that would threaten the destruction of Earth, only to be defeated by Amuro with the psycho frame data he leaked. As one of the most evolved humans to have ever lived, Amuro would be the perfect person to broker an understanding between Earthnoids and Spacenoids. This maybe is evidenced by the cooperation between Feds and Zeon forces to stop the colony drop at the end by joining Amuro's lead and pushing the colony away. Maybe in the end, 'Char' ceases to be, even if the man who assumed the role would live on under a new identity.
However, things really were exactly as they seemed. Char earnestly became leader of Neo Zeon and planned on destroying the Earth so colonists would have no choice but to live independently. And, despite being a complete weasel who betrays friends in order to achieve his goals, he sabotaged his own plan over some symbolic nonsense. He was looking for a fair and honorable final fight... yet he tried to run away at the end?! I'll never understand it. Char is a man without honor... hell, it's what makes him so dangerous.
Also, Mineva Zabi spoke so highly of Char on the bridge of the Fed ship in Unicorn. I don't understand how she could think Frontal was somehow significantly worse than Char. Frontal actually seems a bit more humane, honestly. Or at least, more competent. They really dropped the ball with CCA, IMO. They really had to stretch the plot thin to find a way for Char to be in a position of power and antagonism, and they did a great disservice to his character to make it happen.
Not to mention his whine fest with Amuro at the end, dude just couldn't let that shit go. I honestly just feel sorry for Nanai, dude probably kept calling her Lalah in bed.

Yeah especially before everybody got their upgrades and even still once the Virgo's got the Zero system tactics they became a bit of a problem that required team work so I can see your point. Plus they can be used as a giant shield. That fight between Sandrock, Deathscythe and Epyon is still pretty good, just too short.
Season 6 episodes 26 and 27 "Brilliant Century Duck Crisis Special" even has anime inspired openings and endings lol. Love this shows random parodies and obvious inperations but they went all in on this.

I'm having a better time than I did with my HG Astray Blue Frame. That one was a pain building and posing it. Not enough articulation to keep it balanced in any pose I want it to.

You probably could watch just this episode and be ok, but it honestly is best to watch it in order lol. It's 90% random references from the 80s and 90s but there is a weird continuous story/lore to it all. IE if something happens in episode 12, it might get referenced again who knows how many episodes later. Basically everything in this epiode actually is from something that happened in episodes before lol, like the robot, the eggcellent hats ect.
This may seem an odd place to ask this, but if I were to make a video review/overview of G Gundam and utilize clips from the show in the video, would Bandai take issue a take down due to that or would it be fine so long as I'm not doing something like uploading whole episodes?
I am interested in the original Gundam Blu-ray. Quick question, is it best to order from Right stuf in Canada or will this boxset make it to Amazon.ca in the future?
Please for the love of God bring the Zeta blu ray here...and CCA. As much as I bag on that Amuro/Char Lalah thirst bitch fest that is the ending that shit is beautifully animated with a great soundtrack.

Amazon should have it. As far as I know, Amazon gets stock from Rightstuf that they sell on their site. Amazon has the two Turn A Gundam sets for sale, even though it's supposed to be a Rightstuf exclusive.

Oh, I certainly will whenever it's finished though I have no idea when that would be. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of camera to get, which is driving me nuts. I have a general outline and such already for the video though so having all that worked out should make things go smoother.
