And how hilarious his character design is.

I was trying to keep my notes short, so when I said "very much don't recommend the movie version" I meant I thought the movies were bad and don't recommend them. I really dislike how the ending changed (Tomino is maybe George Lucas's Japanese doppelgänger). I kind of think a lot of the changes were meant to retcon ZZ out of existence. As for the mobile suits, a lot of it just seemed like more guns and more spiky crap. Hyakushiki and Ass-hammer were cool.

Judau definitely redeems his butthole tendencies in the first half of the series, but Beecha and Mondo can go to hell. Leina is maybe the best character in the whole series, so it's a shame she doesn't get more screen time. Also, holy crap is the level of loli, little sister love-on-the-brink-of-incest crap way too high. I get that it's a thing in a lot of anime, but it's gross, man. And Haman is such a badass.

I watched Unicorn as it was released, and often ended up rewatching each previous episode whenever a new one came out just to recap what happened. But this most recent time, after every episode, my wife and I were like "damn, this is really good!" Riddhe... I won't say I like him, but I think he's a great character. My wife hates him too, so we went back and forth about it for a while. Banagher, though, he's way awesome. I see why you'd compare him to Kamille, but maybe that's why he's so great?

Oh, and this is a crappy AG kit that I've had in a box for a couple years (got it for a couple hundred yen, mostly for the TryAge card). My wife did some nice work on it, though! She was going for an abandoned ruins look.

Oh yeah, so much incest rape imagery in ZZ, especially that creepy ass Glemy...keeping pre pubescent girls in a room nude in a see through tube. I should probably watch Unicorn again, it's been awhile. I don't hate it by any stretch of the imagination though. I think Glemy starts off as a mirror to Banagher a bit as the man that will do things that Banagher doesn't have the balls to do, but he starts to come off as a spoiled pain in the butt at around ep 5 I think. I still think Zinnerman should've shot his ass at the end though. Beecha and Mondo can go eat a dick, if Bright had any common sense in that series he would have tossed their asses into outer space. My only problem with Judau was how he handled Elpeo Puru's death, she acted like a sister to him and I do believe saved his life and he didn't shed a single tear for her. Kamille is quite outspoken and brash, but he cared for everybody, even shed a tear for Rosamia and went nuts at one point towards the end regarding all the death he was seeing. I guess that's actually how you can compare Banagher to Kamille, Banagher cared about everybody...and they both fell for the first woman they saw...luckily Kamille came back to hot ass Fa.

These assholes are the reason why I can't like ZZ. I can handle the weird tonal shift from Zeta to Scooby-Doo and back to Zeta Gundam. Hell, the cheese of the first 20 episodes is actually kind of fun if you can separate it from the rest of the UC shows. Judeau is actually one of my favorite protagonists and the ZZ Gundam looks ace, but those two characters are insufferable. They try and steal the Gundam repeatedly, even after Judeau and the others decided to team up with the Argama. They betray the Argama several times to Neo-Zeon and almost get everyone killed. They should have been ejected into space ages ago, but instead Mondo is rewarded by given command of the Argama. Bright must have lost his mind when he decided that this was a good idea.

I'm convinced Bright lost his god damn mind at around Ep 1...the true ep 1, not the recap episode. Dude made poor decisions left and right. The space ass of the La vi en rose chick must've fucked with his head real good.

So Chibodee Crocket, the real American hero who pilots a cowboy boxer surfer football player Gundam, has to fight a clown piloting a clown-shaped Gundam as his next opponent. I was just thinking about this scene while trying to plan out my review of the series. I can't not cover it after all and that episode feels weird compared to the other ones going on around the same time in the series.

I honestly think it's the best episode of G-Gundam so far because it's so ridiculous. I can't think of anything that can top this episode.

Hmm I can think of some I like better but of the episodes Gundam Fight episodes that don't push the Dark Gundam plot forward it may be my favorite. I like the clown and his whole mimic gimmicks quite a lot. And just the whole flashback with the gun toting clown at a circus was such a bizarre thing to see.

I really do hope they reprint the series eventually with these other series coming out now. I have the whole thing but would gladly buy another since those discs have seen a lot of use. A Blu-ray release would be even better.

Altron looks gorgeous. Hopefully that's the real plastic, because I love the colors on it. Nothing painting couldn't fix if it needed it, but it's gorgeous as is.

Now show me the RX-78 Origin already, Bandai!

I can't imagine it'll be much different than the Shenlong. So basically the best.

Also, there's an announcement for The Origin RX-78-2 due on the 22nd if I'm not mistaken.

I'm personally very, very excited.

Milk out parts and color variants of existing suits to sucker out more money. Exia Dark Matter so ugly, worst offender of a recent MG. I wish Altron have articulate fingers and that Wing suits weren't so short. Exia Dark Matter so ugly, worst offender of a recent MG.

Bandai needs to release Banshee Norn and Tallgeese 3 and 2 as regular releases. There is no reason why these popular suits are P-Bandai exclusive...

MG G-Self, MG Super/Nobel Gundam, MG/RE1/00 Kshatriya, MG Ξ Gundam/Penelope wishlist. Even Ex-S and S Gundam have suits. Please Bandai.

Mind as well make Hathaway Flash, Crossbone, and Gundam Sentinel anime as well.

Looking at the Iron-blooded Orphans previews, I kinda wish they would make another UC series like 08th MS Team, a more down to earth (literally) series about the grunts in the war, but without the weird shift in tone halfway through.

Also currently watching After War Gundam X, so far pretty good.

Really? Hahahahah. At least P-Bandai stuff has gotten easier to get, but still fuck that.

Assuming I can get it a decent priced shipped, I'll probably bite. It's such a good looking suit.

Gonna pass on the Altron unless for good price. I like the design but it suffers from the same issues as Wing Zero Custom in that other EW the colorway sucks like being too blue for WZC especially the coloured ears. Altron needs more red to go with the green. That and Wing suits are so short ヽ(.◕ฺˇд ˇ◕ฺ;)ﾉ

So I'm gradually catching up on Gundam shows, juggling my goal of getting through the UC canon while also checking out alternate universe series by air dates. I finished After War Gundam X (really enjoyed it!) and I got 8th MS Team and Turn A next. But after that I have G-Savior on my list and I was wondering if it's worth watching. Is it (still) part of the UC canon? Do any other shows (UC or not) ever make references, nods to it?

Oh no I mean it is easy if you have an address to send to. It isn't that difficult.

Another option is Email Sameuldecal, the person who runs it can order basically any limited kit from special Gundam events or P-Bandai. He ordered my friend the limited Gold Hong Kong Gundam Unicorn Ver Ka. Give him an item you want and he will quote and try to get for you.

There are tons of alternatives for those unable to order directly from the site.
