Edmond, when are we getting the OT?
A week before the worldwide release as per GAF policy. Might even be earlier.
So, Dec 5.
Preparations are underway and SunhiLegend is providing a helping hand.

I agree. So glad he was able to find the strength to reprise a character he knew so well.

Will you guys stop describing the clip.
Think about it - the guy has met with Tolkien, he is the biggest LoTR fan ever, he is 90 years old and we will see him as Saruman for the last time :_)
Give the guy a break. It's amazing he can even act in a movie at his age.
I heard he really wanted to play Gandalf but was given the part of Saruman.
Good thing it worked out the way it did, they woulda had to recast him in The Hobbit otherwise. No way he would've been able to handle the role at his age.
I'm a sick and twisted person, but when all the problems were happening with getting The Hobbit in production, I just kept hoping Ian McKellan would survive long enough to wrap filming. I couldn't live in a world with a recast Gandalf.

It's Martin Freeman who plays Bilbo. Quick, someone photoshop Morgan Freeman as Bilbo!Watching the clip, I'm still a little un-easy about Morgan Freeman casting... I'm not sure i like his interpretation of the part. He's seems "goofy"??? I hope it doesn't ruin it.
Time will tell, anyone else have these thoughts?

So...
I have heard that the 3D has some gimmicky moments....like creatures heads sticking out of the screen growling at you.

Hobbit fans queuing up for the premiere.
I am currently imagining Morgan saying some of the lines that Martin has delivered in the trailers so far.
It would be an amazing spoof version.

The love story between Bilbo and Gandalf would be quite something."I hear you're a man who knows how to burgle things."
"I've been known to burgle certain locations from time to time".

I think Elijah Wood was a good aristocratic Hobbit. Sean Astin's Sam was damn near perfect, though I hear he's a bit of an asshole in real life.

It's wonderful to see you again Saruman!

Cameron will take us to 60fps and The Hobbit might even look dated in a short few years.
I thought he hadn't decided on 48 or 60 yet?
