Astroboy mentioned that he would be able to stream/cast [and probably upload vods] once he gets his new computer back to korea, which is sometime in... early august? i think?Meeru said:Anyone getting on tonight for ihl?
Also, any way to upload these matches on youtube with maybe some casting? It'll be fun to watch on my phone!
is he in US now?bzm said:Astroboy mentioned that he would be able to stream/cast [and probably upload vods] once he gets his new computer back to korea, which is sometime in... early august? i think?
Yeah, he's visiting his family.Meeru said:is he in US now?
I asked him before he left; "I can, but the question is whether I will. This is my first time seeing my family in two years".Meeru said:wow thats great, but can he play hon?

Procarbine said:Sorry dude but I can't. Not only do I not want the prize pool diluted but you and Kag together would make games 100% unwinnable for anyone else :X

I think my team is currently perceived as the "strongest" because Alumnus, Puppetyuber, Pillowknight, Haly, and ulcajun always play everyday. Then you add my other guys on top of that and we can pretty much field 5-6 any night.
The real problem our league has is availability of enough people to play 5v5. If you had to ask me how to remedy this I would do the ff:
Oceanic:
+allow bzm to ring
+grab one player from my team
team tryhard:
-one player
+loki_demi (who has work every night, 6 days a week, and can only play from 5pm to 8pm anyway)
Meeru:
+2-3 frequent players (I'm thinking at least Gesisht (Madouu) and his friend)
Of course i'm biased. But honestly, we need to focus on getting games started, we've been in 5v4 situations wherein people weren't comfortable getting a ringer.
Was he only using 80% of his true power?Meeru said:Why on earth do you want AP its so stupid boring no surprise factor.
I kinda agree on the loki + kag thing, well, not 100%. I have yet to fully see loki's abilities..although he schooled me back to preschool with his Pyromancer against my DR mid..didn't realize pyro was such a strong hero.
Only 30%. Hokuto no HoN is about using the other 70%Halycon said:Was he only using 80% of his true power?

There's an AR mode.Anbokr said:AP is fun when everyone randoms or if you want to try new heroes that you suck with (I used to suck with jera, but now I like him). I still suck with pebbles, but AP lets me practice with him.

After the 4 games between Team Kage and Team Meeru the points (at least as I understand it) are distributed thusly.
First match: Team Kage wins and gets 5 points, Team Meeru loses and gets 1 point.
Second match: Team Kage wins and gets 4 points from diminishing returns, Team Meeru loses and gets 1 point.
Third match: Team Kage wins and gets 2 points from diminishing returns, Team Meeru loses and gets 1 point.
Fourth match: Team Kage loses and gets 1 point, Team Meeru wins and gets 5 points and another 1 point for breaking the streak.
The final tally is 12 points to team Kage, 9 points to Team Meeru. I think, and I'm sure others will agree, this is just a tad unfair. Obviously, the system is to prevent any one team from steam rolling the others and getting an untouchable score, but as far as I can tell the teams are pretty balanced, and so this system winds up punishing for playing more games. I don't think anyone wants to start gaming rule system for maximum returns, so maybe you should play around with the numbers a bit.
I think pro's reasons to do it this way are fine. Until we have a better idea of how to manage the teams, it's necessary to make sure no one (team ocean in this case) is completely left out.Meteorain said:It looks ridiculous unfair that we earn only 3 points less than the other team when they won 75% of the games.
The diminishing system needs a nerf! Like drop the points every 3rd game played in a row.
The funny part is, had we thrown game 2 we would've ended up with the same amount of points. Although, we would have denied team meeru points.Halycon said:Pro I wanted to bring this up earlier.

I think the problem is though that, not all 3 teams are online at the same time, so the diminishing returns is really kind of punishing active teams for playing each other multiple times lolProcarbine said:The reason it's like that is to keep two teams from playing a lot while a third team is benched. Without there being a fourth team to even the games played distribution, this needs to be done in order to keep the points somewhat balanced in the league. The system punishes two teams for playing consecutive games without a third team, which is exactly what I intended.
