Goddamn NOVA is good on iPad 3, such a rad shooter for 99c.

Nice. Grabbed it on my phone, looking forward to seeing it on the iPad later.

I'm still twatting about with Puzzle Craft. I honestly don't know why. It's not as gripping as I first thought, but it has just enough of a 'one more go' factor that I keep coming back.

It's a known bug. It has affected me too and I've been waiting since release for an update.

same here. not to bash the game, because I bought and enjoyed it, but 100000 feels very buggy and hacked-together. and it absolutely shreds through battery life (it's done in Unity, so in all likelihood is a 3D polygonal game but running just one surface (kind of like how 2D was done on PS1 I think)).

So I bought an iTunes card for my girlfriend, do she really HAVE to create an Apple ID to redeem it?

I'd say so. You have to log in with your account to download anything from the store, and the credits have to be tied to an account.

If she already have an iOS device, she HAS to have an Apple ID already. I think you're forced to create one to activate your device.

So The World Ends Without You is coming to iOS? Hopefully it works on iPhone since it's a game I've always wanted to play, but I don't own a DS. I think we have a thread about it but it was just people complaining.

Most of the game was controlled with the stylus, so it should work fine. Battles, however, were a weird (though very cool) affair. You had to use the face buttons (or d-pad if you're right-handed) to control part of what goes on in the battle, and then the stylus to control your actual character actions. But I'm thinking it might end up controlling better on iOS, since both those things will be mapped to touch. Either way, combat was like juggling in a good way.

Wow, that would be great news. Never bought it on the DS, but I've always been curious about this game.

Damn, as short as it is I'm just glad for the CP limit in Zookeeper Battle because otherwise I'd be doing shit all besides playing it. This is crack.

What's with the gift box though? At one point it said I got two gifts (one background and one greeting iirc), I collected them but they're nowhere to be seen in my room. Nevermind, it was two types of greetings and they are both there, I'm blind.

edit: yeah TWEWY is great news, I just hope the controls translate decently somehow (I guess the upper screen character will have to stay on auto but we'll see), I'll love having it with me at all times. Sonic CD really got me hopeful for well-made touch-controlled ports, haha. Believe!

The BB seal of approval! By the way, is the "new" Simpsons game IAP-heavy, or is it fun as it stands?

Tough call. I've dipped in IAP-wise because some of my favorite characters are "Donut" only, so I've definitely spent more than I would have liked. That said, you have to train yourself, especially at the beginning, to not go completely crazy and spend donuts to speed things up. You have to just say "Okay, this is going to take twelve hours to build." or "This task will take 8 hours." and just put it away for a while.

THAT SAID, I can't stop playing it. Although it's hard to describe something like this as really "playing". A friend described it well as basically "sea monkeys". You set people on a task, or build something, and watch them do it.

THAT ALSO SAID, it is really fantastic because all those tasks are being done by great characters, really well thought out. Cletus dumpster dives. Milhouse forlornly drags a kite behind him. Skinner bird watches. That's what keeps me coming back. I'm also a little into the decorating part, but it's certainly not at all like Sim City where there's any adverse risks to be taken. It's just "Do this to get that to build that. Okay, watch. Collect money. Do this to get that to build that. Repeat."

Although now that I think about it, that's how Tiny Tower was, I think?

Anyway, long story short, it's my favorite "game" behind Hero Academy but I can see a lot of people not liking it.

Doesn't the game use both screens at once? This would seem very hard to shoehorn into the iphone screen.

Hopefully that means its a well thought out port and not a shitty one.

Right?

Also, any way to buy from your iDevice without downloading the app? I want NOVA, but I'm at school.

I think the issue is you play both screens at once. You control one with the dpad and the other with the stylus. I bought this game on the cheap from Amazon months ago, I should play it!

It does. I can safely say I never had any idea what was going on up there. Having it be in a small window in the main screen would be a massive improvement.

What iOS device and iOS version are you on? Are you using a jailbreaked device? We'll try to help you get that last campaign as best we can, but more information would definitely be useful.

Try logging out of your AppleID through the settings.app and logging back in.
I was jailbroken (only for retinapad, since I don't what other use it has on iPad2), so I restored but kept happening. Pray For Death suggestion worked.

So anyway, I've played like 75 Zookeeper battles today.

Game is amazing.

This is my first time playing this since my disappointment that Zoo keeper wasn't Taito's Zookeeper arcade game kept me from looking into the DS version. Very nice game...I managed to 1 turn kill someone and have no complaint about the controls. This is shaping up to be much better than Magical Drop Touch for getting my "real time" vs puzzle fix on my phone.

Fucking Puzzle Craft. It's one of those games where I know I should put it down, but I can't.

Nice. I was really enjoying it a few weeks ago and then put it down and never went back. Looks like time to go back!

Puzzle Craft doesn't.

Errr I fucked up there, I meant 10000000 :lol not Dungeon Raid. But it doesn't seem to support iCloud. Should be mandatory for all Universal games, really.

...I can't get past the lame name...

:(
Name is lame, graphics are lame, but the game is awesome. Speed run platforming bliss.

It's the kind of game that looks rather meh, but it's actually great. I don't even know why I bought it, but I'm glad I did. If you like League of Evil I bet you will like this too.

Well if you linked to it more people would pay attention! Know my lazy ass would!
I'm posting from my phone, so it's harder for me son!

Just be warning. It was good ok. Not that awesome as sex.

Anyway, thanks god I can give a massive dangerous middle finger to Puzzle Craft.

Dude, Mikey Shorts made me forget about Puzzle Craft. You don't get more awesome than that!

True, bless to Mikey Shorts keep us away from Puzzle Craft.
I agreed that if you love league of evil then you will like this game. If you have icade or any controller, then try blutrol (jail breaker only) with this game. You will feel it more better.

I reeeaaally hope The World Ends With You turns out good. I typically wait for a sale to buy Square-Enix's games but this one I'll buy at full price, even if it is $30.

Zookeeper Battle fucking hates me. I have yet to win a single game out of the six I've played, and everyone keeps getting these power ups and I'm sitting here with these rinky dink snowballs or whatever the hell I'm tossing. It's making me hate the game.

League of Evil was like heroïn for me so I guess Mickey Shorts should be in my library.. ?

It is??? Omg yes, that was one of those DS games that I always wanted but could never find. This gives me a mega happy.

Maybe they will make a new combat for TWEWY on iOS. I don't see it working on the iPhone with the DS version combat mechanics.

Unless iPad only or something.

I'm finding the controls very awkward...specifically having to "look" with my right thumb well above the action buttons. Is there a trick to it? I'm on the iPad.

No trick, just practice until it becomes second nature, and you can move the buttons around to fit your natural finger placement too - I had to move the zoom button up a bit.

The only issue I have is changing between weapons, the change weapon slider feels a lot less responsive than the one in Modern Combat.

Anyone played Mini Empires? I have done very little gaming on my iPhone lately but this could be a winner for me if it's any good.

This is the obvious Zookeeper suggestion but make sure to "manually combo" a lot. I'm always trying to plan ahead as fast as possible before making a move so I can at least put one or more moves while the first one is being erased. This way even if I don't get a stream of auto-combos I still build up enough points with the fake chaining. When there are many possible combinations on the current screen I usually match them from top to bottom to capitalize on all the matching tiles. Being able to move tiles while other moves are still in progress is what makes Zookeeper so fun to me. The different sound cues when you're quickly building a large chain are sogood.gif

I'm finding the power ups to be mostly fair. Sometimes you'll get screwed in that your opponent will get more than one and you get none, but that's rare in my experience and most of the time they don't play a big part on who wins, being just a mild annoyance when you're on the receiving end. At least the boss and the bucket. The heart is the one that can really turn things around imo, but even then you need to play good in order to build a good attack/defense.

By the way, let me brag a bit with this achievement before it gets too common. Can't wait to reach for the stars with the following 400+, 600+ and 850+ ones (is such a thing even possible).

Would be cool if there was a way to challenge GC friends directly.

Thanks for the tips, I'll boot up the game and try it out. I think I'm getting the hang of it, but at the end of the match I always get screwed over lol

Gangstar rio for a buck, yay or nay?
I played the original I think 2 years ago, I thought it was cool. For a buck I say why not.

Although maybe I thought it was cool because it was on the iPod touch 2g and I was amazed that it could replicate graphics like GTA's
