So I just bought Mage Gauntlet using a MasterCard gift card, and noticed the iTunes store only charged my card $1.00.
So I went and bought Infinity Blade for $0.99 afterward and now they didn't even charge the card.
Apple won't let you download something unless they receive payment right? I feel like they're going to send some robot assassin to kill my ass.

Not sure, I got charged right away from my itunes purchases yesterday.
I had enough on the card for Mage Gauntlet, so that's not a problem. I probably shouldn't have picked up Infinity Blade though since I didn't have enough for that. The only reason I did is because I saw they only charged $1 for Mage Gauntlet.
That's pretty normal for me. It's usually a couple days before Apple processes my orders with them. I think Apple is just trying to save on fees.
Lol..me too. More of the "rush" of getting a good deal. Doesn't help apps are so cheap.
Well the problem here is I only had enough for Mage Gauntlet, but since they only charged a buck, I picked up Infinity Blade as well. Assuming the charged correctly for MG, I'm fine. Otherwise, there might be an issue.

You'll have no issues other than being unable to buy/update anything (even free stuff) until you add a card that can cover the debt.
It happened to me when I was in a similar situation except with a debit card I use for online purchases like this. I just re-added it as the payment method of my iTunes account once I bothered to visit the bank and add some more money in that account. Simple.
Oh, that's fine then. Easy enough to take care of and it doesn't involve getting arrested or assassinated by Apple.
Now that we are seeing xbox1/PS2 generation games. Here are two money makers that are begging to be on iOS IMO.
Diablo2. This type of game where most of it is point and click can easily be adapted for touch. Release now to further whet those appetites for Diablo3. The entire game was playable with a mouse but due to cursor based mousing it was better with keyboard too. But with touch, you can still instantly click potions without 1,2,3,4. Have a button to hold with 1 finger to turn clicks on mobs into "right clicks".
Morrowind. We have a bards tale and GTA3. I think tech-wise we have reached the point where it can be done.
Blizzard and Bethesda could charge me $20+ for each and I would pay it. You don't even need to have multi. I'll pay to play single player.
By the same token, daggerfall is doable now! It would print money!

I'm with you on that. I don't know that I'll play through a bards tale, but for 1.99 for 3 games for both my iPad and iPhone, I cant resist.
For the GTA3 sale it was a no brainer. Have already gotten my money's worth.

Thanks for the heads-up on infinity blade, so bought. My latest addiction is tiny wings. A friend of mine got a score of 232k and I don't get how he did it. Most I can manage is about 60k, barely reaching the sixth island. I want to get better though. I wish this game'd get an ipad version, looks kinda rough zoomed in.

The more challenges you complete, the higher the multiplier. So play more, and level up and eventually you will get scores like that by getting the same distance but with a much higher multiplier.

I'm happy Futari is coming next week but I hope Cave is considering Ketsui or Muchi Muchi Pork for a release on iOS.

Hahah yes, it is designed to be hard even on "Novice," actually the tabletop rules allude to that. Think part of it is just getting a feel for how to prioritize attacking the ghosts. Might also help to select your abilities and tile arrangement though technically in the tabletop it's all random.

Yeah, I should take the time to learn what all the village tiles do, and figure out all the ghost types, haha.
I should at least read all of the help book.
Its a lot more fun playing 4 player by myself than I thought it would be, so thats a plus. I still want to play with my friends, but with no online play that happens a lot less frequently, so its nice that its still pretty fun solo.
Hero Academy will get its Universal update very soon, i assume around PAX East next week. It will be optimized for the new iPad aswell.

It seems likely. They may even bring the price of all their iOS stuff down for a few days to promote the game. I'm just glad this one supports 3GS (reportedly). Missed out on DDP2.

On a technicality, DOJ is not DDP2. DDP2 is pretty hilarious actually (it wasn't produced by Cave but likely was intended to sell them on the PGM arcade platform).
Is there a grazing mechanic in Mushihimesama Futari? That's my favorite part about DDP: Res, just hit 473 mil in smartphone mode for #8 on the rather unpopulated leaderboards. Guess people aren't fond of paying $10+ for the same game twice. Still hope to see more HD releases if it's possible.
Also wanted to say Zen Bound 2 is great on the new iPad. Looks fantastic with super high res textures. Cordy Sky looks pretty nice too, and it's free.
Make sure to finish all the challenges for the max multiplier. I became pretty good at that game after playing it non stop for weeks. I think #1 of 75 gaf friends with 280k - feel free to add me to embarrass me though, ZethGAF.

the 2 bucks is for the xbox/ps2 Bards Tale, and then in the app you can DL tiny files and play the oldschool Bards Tale 1 and 2 (and 'coming soon' is 3).
