This is what I was talking about. Though it's not half as bad as I though, the fact that not all of the dots line up made this area super frustrating to me, and I ultimately just abandoned the map altogether and randomly stumbled through dungeons.
Also, I really hate this lazy map design of "boxes connected by lines". Is it really so much to ask that, at the very least, the rooms on the map somewhat resemble their true shape and positioning within the world. I also hate the "bunch of unrelated rooms connected incoherently by teleporters" design. It makes it impossible for me to get a grip on any sort of world flow.
That's not to say I didn't like the original Chaos Rings. The story was cool and the combat was decent (though it felt a little shallow from what I played). I'd be up for Chaos Rings 2 once I've taken care of a bit of my current library. I'd just like to know what to expect.
